Hello everyone...

Had a positive test this morning, suspect due on 3rd June. Gulp! Very surprised as DD is only 9 months and it took me 2 years to conceive the first time around.

Anyone here to join teh long wait?

Blue Im feeling better thanks. Had a lovely soak in the bath and that eased it alot. Still a little twingy, but I'll survive . How have you been? Are you still getting the pulling feeling?

DH phoned me from Spain to check how I was feeling, we both wondered how somebody the size of a grain of rice can make women feel so yucky. Crazy as it seems; Im loving having sore boobs and morning sickness, as didnt have that with our two that we lost.

fillybuster · 19/10/2009 19:45

Hey spud, glad you found us after the other thread welcome to sharing all the stuff we can't talk about in RL yet And there seem to be quite a few of us doing it for the 2nd, 3rd and (I think?) 4th time around who still don't have a clue about at least some of it!!

MrsDmamee · 19/10/2009 20:07

due june 29th...with DC#3. i doubt baby will actually arrive in june(ds1 arrived on EDD) but fingers crossed anyways for a happy pregnancy and not much of a delay after EDD for all JUNE mums2b

SpudtheScarecrow · 19/10/2009 20:16

(waves to filly) Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Just about to go back and read through all the other posts (with an imaginary glass of wine in hand!)

muchchocolate · 19/10/2009 20:48

Hi all,

Can I join too? I can't stand not being able to talk about it so hopefully MN will help. Only told my DH and my BF so far.

Think I'm about 5 weeks now - EDD 17th June. This will be DC2, no real symptoms so far, slight nausea on and off and tired but that is nothing new with a very active 20 month old!

Time does seem to go soooo slowly at this point. Couldn't get a docs appt till next Thursday!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Ladyemmalou83 · 19/10/2009 20:53

MuchChocolate (fab nickname) Welcome to the June group, hope you have a lovely sticky 9 months on here

Washersaurus · 19/10/2009 20:56

Ah Spud, glad you found us - I saw your thread earlier and was just about to respond when my 2yo demanded that I put my laptop away

I'm mostly just lurking at the moment

theperfectbaguette · 19/10/2009 22:01

Helllo hello welcome to the newies - June really is where it is at!

Scrappy hope it goes well tommorrow, fingers crossed.

Filly shite is smokesalmon on the no no list?

Had no access to internet today in the office - was like being in the dark ages.

I spotted on a leaflet that if you can prove your preggie you get a free upgrade to First Class on South West Trains (if there's no seats in cattle class) if you have a season ticket. Has anyone done this? I spent an hour sat on the floor by the bog this morning getting into London - luckily I've not got any ms but still not the best......I think you need the doctor or midwife to give you a form - dunno

Also seem to be getting fatter. HAD to undo my trousers on the train home, so friggin uncomfortable I thought I might be causing bean damage (normally my trousers dont hack into my waist) which meant that I had to keep my coat on for fear that I might flash someone. I'd like to say it was just the gut but my arse looks like it's having a field day too. I'm going to start doing bum clenches at the my desk - but if it continues at this rate I'll be Jabba the Hut in no time.!!!

I'm OK to lie on my back at night, but my porn star nipples go ahhhhhhhh if I lie on my front - so I'm just snoring more than normally too.

bluesnowfalcon · 20/10/2009 06:57

Hi all newbies hope you all have great luck and sticky beans!

ladyem glad the bath helped a bit. I'm ok - tired but ok. The pulling feeling seems to have eased a bit and doesn't seem to be happening quite so much. Having trouble with drinking tea with milk or ceral at the mo in the mornings but that's about it. Hope you have another relaxing day

muchchocolate we are EDD the same day! How you feeling? Any wierd and wonderful symptoms?

perfectbaguette lol at the image of you sitting on the floor and then having to undo your trousers!!!

I'm out on a course today so I'm gonna have to try to squeeze in a visit at lunchtime but not sure if I'll manage it!

Have a good day all - hold on tight to the beans

sobloodystupid · 20/10/2009 08:28

thanks for the link to the bbc parenting site. every time I've googled summat similar I get American websites that mix me up what with the way they write dates over there...
Anyway, how's everyone doing? Can't wait for my scan to get proper date, must wait about six weeks [sigh].

Cadmum · 20/10/2009 09:23

Thinking of you this morning Scrappy.

GibberingGinger · 20/10/2009 10:06

Hi everyone

I have no symptoms apart from turning into the stupidist person ever. I can't seem to think straight at all. Today I drove past DD1's nursery with DD1 still in the back of the car. Had to do a quick 3 point turn and go back to drop her off. Spend ages yesterday looking for the car keys when I was actually holding them in my hand! Can't remember passwords, phonenumbers, anything really.

I'm bit of a numbers and stats junkie so I've updated the list with the newbies. Fingers crossed there will be no more people having to leave the list (love2dance, I'm so sorry, I really feel for you and wish you all the best next time round) Spud, I think you are about the same as me so I guessed your date. Hope I haven't missed anyone or got the details wrong! It's a long list

Good luck with your scan Scrappy

gluepie · 20/10/2009 11:13

Hi all

Thought it was about time to join - due date 13 June, 1st time so everything (including the hideous all-day sickness which has just kicked in) rather new.

Had a bit of panic over the weekend due to some unexpected bleeding, but early scan yesterday showed everything ok - phew!

MrsDmamee · 20/10/2009 11:13

Very organised GibberingGinger thanks for updating the list
im way down the end just made it into june
feeling so bloated and sort of ligament stretching pains too, and finding it difficult to sleep at night and keep waking up to go pee. i think i jinxed myself, SIL is 6 months pregnant and i was listening to her chatting away last week on how she is enjoying her 1st PG and is sleeping great at night and i said when i was PG#2 i would lie wide awake at nite until 1am/2am.( hadnt tested yet so was unaware i was in for it again!!!!)

Saucepanman · 20/10/2009 11:14

Hi everyone, I am still here, just feeling very vommy! Also had PC probs. I am now 6w5d and booking in tomorrow due to my history. I feel like CRAP but hey ho

Hello to everyone I've not "met" yet

sunshineday · 20/10/2009 11:17

good luck with the scan today scrappy.

orchidgirl · 20/10/2009 11:21

Morning all, I hope everyone is having a good day.

Reading through the posts I have been wondering how quickly everyone is seeing their doctors/midwives/scans. I've got my first midwife appointment when I will be 9w+5 and first scan at 12w+3. Is this what others are finding or are you getting seen quicker?

Yes I know I sound impatient but having to wait until 12w+3 before finding out everything is OK seems like forever.

BarakObamasTransitVan · 20/10/2009 11:34

Orchid last time (back in 2000) we were only offered one scan - the 20 wk anomoly one. I think that in my area they have recently changed this to meet NICE guidelines, which recommend a scan at about 12 weeks, but I guess I'll know for sure once i've seen my MW. I saw my GP nearly a fortnight ago because I felt odd - he was the one who suggested I might be PG (althogh I had an inkling). I now need to make an appt with the MW. Apparently she'll want to see me at 8 weeks - a good 4 weeks earlier than before.

GibberingGinger · 20/10/2009 11:54

Orchid, last time I got a scan at 12 weeks (last period calculation) where they told me I was measuring 10+3 weeks. Was not amused. Time goes slowly enough withou going backwards!
And then another scan at 20 weeks. I've got an appointment with my gp on Thursday who, judging by last time, will just say congratulations, ask what hospital I want and send a letter to them on my behalf. Probably won't hear from the hospital until my 12 week scan and booking in appointment.

Am planning on telling a few people after the gp on Thursday, probably just mum, DH's mum and my best friend. Oh and the friend I'm visiting this weekend will have to know as it will be very obvious when I don't get stuck into the wine . Ah wine, I miss wine already.

minimoonumbertwo · 20/10/2009 12:00

Crap crap crap!!! Just wrote the longest post on here & somehow deleted it! Was just moaning mainly about feeling so awful...

Scrappy good luck today - do let us know how it goes...

perfectbaguette oh how awful! Poor pregnant lady on the floor with trousers hanging open!! what a start to the day...I hope you're right though and it's first class all the way from now on...

RnB i feel the same, just so rubbish. If it's anything like last time though my sickness definitely peaked now & lasted for the next two weeks then started to ease to fingers crossed it's not for much longer. Is so hard as feel guilty for moaning as am obviously thrilled but just so so ill.

Orchid my appts are: mw 11+1 and scan 12+5. tbh i am just impressed that they've managed to send me an appt as they were appalling after my ds was born and we somehow got lost in the system. OH cannot WAIT until we've all got our little black & white fuzzy photos to remind us what it's all about!!

Has anyone taken any time off work with sickness this pg?? am only part time and have only been here for 6 months & already taken a few days off for ds & mc so feel really guilty taking any more off but am honestly not sure i can get through the days at the moment. Ladyem oh how i would love to be soaking in the bath right now!

Gibberingginger am laughing at your post though - poor dd must wonder what's going on!!

orchidgirl · 20/10/2009 12:17

I don't have to worry about taking time off work, as I was made redundant just before I discovered I was pregnant! Oh if they had only waited a couple of week I could of got some more money out of them...

My worry is what do I do now. I am very nervous of getting another job and then having to tell a new employer. What doesn't help is that in my line of work recruitment can take 3 months. I am thinking of just going for some contract work, but haven't even started looking.

ClaireDeLoon · 20/10/2009 12:18

I'm feeling a bit crappy and pessimistic today. Had some more bleeding and although it isn't heavy and is still brown blood it just reminds me of how the miscarriage I had before started. It seems to have tailed off now so will just have to see how things go.

It's just got me down, DP said last night he thinks this will all be OK at next scan and I just wanted to burst into tears because I really don't think it will.

I also had a full on weeping fit on the train this morning after reading an article about post-traumatic stress disorder and the UK military and how they get so little support. 'twas a tad embarassing.

ClaireDeLoon · 20/10/2009 12:20

Sorry to hear about your job orchidgirl that is very bad timing

scrappydappydoo · 20/10/2009 12:25

Hi all, sadly I had an early scan this morning which said that its highly likely I've miscarried - I've got another appointment next week to confirm it but the doctor said its just routine. So I'm going to have to leave this thread and will hopefully join another one in the future..
I hope you all continue to have good pregnancies and I will look forward to reading the the birth threads in June.
Much love to you all
Scrappy
