Hello everyone...

Had a positive test this morning, suspect due on 3rd June. Gulp! Very surprised as DD is only 9 months and it took me 2 years to conceive the first time around.

Anyone here to join teh long wait?

ladyem hope relaxing in front of the tv is doing the trick for you. I'm keeping everything crossed for you x I feel like my boobs are getting bigger and seem to be on edge and a bit down today for some reason but guess that is hormones

raspberrytart · 19/10/2009 13:10

Hi all,can I join?I'm new to this board so Helloo!
I'm just pregnant with dc2 Reeeealy excited.I am ancient and ds is 4.
Haven't had any symptoms yet apart from sore boobs.
Went to docs this morning and got due date of 25th June.

minimoonumbertwo · 19/10/2009 13:12

love2dance am so so sorry.

Ladyemma i do hope everything is okay, definitely just chill & look after yourself for next 2 days.

MrsRigby - all ok?? Thinking of you. i have to say i am a bit of your PIL - if only my ds got that kind of attention!!

I am a very strange person at the moment, veering wildly from angry hatred of everyone to over-emotional weepiness & love for everyone! Am really hoping this calms down soon...

Still feeling oh so sick, tired & achy, almost fluey, really looking forward to the 12 week mark. oh well, time for a cuppa...

BarakObamasTransitVan · 19/10/2009 14:07

fillybuster aren't you approaching 7 weeks? Acording to the BBC PG calendar thingy and and also counting from my LMP, I?m 6 weeks on Wednesday (due date 16th according to my GP). I am of course splitting hairs, but seeing as this bit is dragging so much thought this might cheer you up

BarakObamasTransitVan · 19/10/2009 14:09

Hi to all the new peeps btw

fillybuster · 19/10/2009 14:42

Minimoomin....I'm feeling achey, fluey, sicky, tired....think I might actually have a touch of flu as well as being pg....anyway, it sucks! At least I'm working from home today so staying warm and dry but not actually getting all that much done....

Barack - I'm pretty certain that my last period started 6 weeks ago today (I know it was a Monday, and my dh is very good at keeping count even if I'm not!)....so sadly, no...! My cycles are pretty short (24 days) which might explain the discrepancy though?

Need more tea...oh and maybe some lunch. Only had 3 jaffa cakes so far today, which might explain some of the 'sicky' feeling....doh!

minimoonumbertwo · 19/10/2009 14:46

oh thanks for the link barak, quite like the bbc website, is so much better than Emma's annoying diary!

soooooooooooooooooo tired, might have to go for a nap in a meeting room...

minimoonumbertwo · 19/10/2009 14:47

yes filly you need more food for sure!!

Icanneverthinkofagoodname · 19/10/2009 15:10

Hi everyone
claire hope all is still going okay with you?
I am feeling strangely well and happy today. Not feeling sick, no crampy feelings, not too tired and not miserable! This is good but also makes me worry slightly. Does the sickness etc come and go with anyone else?

Had agonizing cramps in middle of night on friday and was very worried but have been fine since then.

Got a date for my booking in appointment / scan. Its 3 weeks on Wednesday (11/11) so not too long. V excited about it.

ClaireDeLoon · 19/10/2009 15:29

Yeah I'm still good thanks. Exciting to get your scan date I have no sickness today either was quite bad Friday but has tailed off over the weekend.

Doesn't time drag in these first few weeks?

waves to everyone else, LadyEmmaLou hope the cramps ease off soon.

BarakObamasTransitVan · 19/10/2009 16:01

Emma's Diary, minimoon ? Bleurgh! The hardcopy version made me feel queasy enough nearly ten years ago - online it's even worse. Is it wrong to actively dislike a ficticious smug bint character dreamt up by marketing people quite so much?

sunshineday · 19/10/2009 16:06

love2dance I'm very sorry to hear your news

Ladyemma hope you are felling better today.

Had dr appointment today so now just waiting for my booking in appointment from the hospital to come through. (why does time seems to go so slow at this stage)

Hi to everyone else hope you are all felling ok

LittleRobbo · 19/10/2009 16:07

afternoon ladies, welcome rasberrytart love the name ds2 and i had a lovely 2 hour kip this morning so feeling quite spritely at the mo(till about 7 when i'll be ready for bed again!) Is anyone else thinking our thread title needs updating? anyone creative on here got any ideas? i'm thinking something along the lines of 'june boom' seen as there is so many of us

Horton · 19/10/2009 16:40

Do you know, I just read the words 'sauvignon blanc' somewhere else and actually started drooling slightly. Sad sad woman that I am.

scrappydappydoo · 19/10/2009 16:50

Have had a crappy day today I spent all morning trying to get through to the epu and midwives and all I got was an answering machine message - eventually managed to get through to a lovely lady in the antenatal day unit who actually went down the corridor to ask them to phone me! Upshot is I have a scan tomorrow morning to see whats going on. I'm trying to be positive but its v. difficult!

fillybuster · 19/10/2009 17:00

Scrappy - good luck!

Horton - I have a pregnancy theory which goes along the lines of letting yourself have a little bit of anything you really fancy, even if its on the list of 'things you're not supposed to have if you're pregnant'. Anyway, my gp (last time around) asked whether I was drinking alcohol and said "oh good" when I admitted I was having the occasional glass . So far I've eaten pate, smoked salmon, sushi, unpasteurised cheese and drunk alcohol through 2 pgs....although never all at the same time and only if I really wanted to....

Everything in moderation, I reckon....although this being mumsnet I'm sure someone will shout at me now....

Cadmum · 19/10/2009 17:01

scrappydappydoo I hope that all goes well for you tomorrow. Thank goodness you finally got through to a live person. The worry is dreadful when there is nothing you can do but wait.

Still feeling tired and ill today. I think that I must have fallen asleep mid-sentence last night. Poor dh may have forgotten what this first trimester is like. He was away for dd2's pregnancy and ds2 is already 7.

Cadmum · 19/10/2009 17:03

I have been pg and given birth in 4 different countries and the rules vary by location. How is that possible? Aside from alcohol (which I rarely drink anyhow), I don't worry about what I eat. I find it hard enough to just eat.

RnB · 19/10/2009 17:06

So so sorry love2dance

ladyemma hope you're ok

Feeling terribly sick, can't eat. Am hating this. Had really bad sickness with my other 2, but this time I'm just feeling sick which is worse for me.

Anyone else uncomfortable lying on their back?

fillybuster · 19/10/2009 17:08

Well, that's part of it...I've got friends all over the place and everyone gets such conflicting advice. So I've come to the conclusion that if my body really wants it, then its fine.

Although all I really want right now is a lot more sleep than I got last night. Am going to be having a stern word with DD when I put her to bed tonight

Horton · 19/10/2009 17:15

I am thinking I might allow myself one very little glass today. Oddly I am quite relaxed about food and happily eat runny eggs, rare steak and smoked salmon when pregnant. I get all wound up about alcohol, though. Possibly because I know that what I'd really like is three glasses, not one!

bluesnowfalcon · 19/10/2009 17:55

ladyem how are you?

Love2dance · 19/10/2009 18:20

Dear all,
Thanks so much for the kind messages. I've removed myself from the list. Fingers crossed fror next time

SpudtheScarecrow · 19/10/2009 18:38

Can I say hello and join you ladies? I can't believe there's so many of us! I've tried to have a quick read through but couldn't manage all the posts just yet.

I've just found out I'm PG with DC3! Probably about 4+3 feeling really nervous this time round. Have 2 DSs 4 and 2 Felt somehow like I was in the baby zone when I was having them - was PG, breast-feeding then pregnant again but this time around I feel like a beginner again. Looking forward to chatting with others on here as haven't told anyone in RL yet
