Hello everyone...

Had a positive test this morning, suspect due on 3rd June. Gulp! Very surprised as DD is only 9 months and it took me 2 years to conceive the first time around.

Anyone here to join teh long wait?

Blue n Ladyemmalou83 with you on the weird stretching feeling, back in the mists of time I used to be able to do a back bend and the feeling is not disimilar. Or a bit like if I'd done a massive amount of sit up, though I've done nothing of the sort for years. Dunno if it's still implantation or general uterus growing. I've read implantation can take up to a week. Though I'm 5 weeks today so I should have thought it would be done by now - but who knows.

Horton · 17/10/2009 19:41

Yep, weird stretching definitely normal. Cramps are also completely normal (though I seem to remember they had me panicking last time).

bluesnowfalcon · 17/10/2009 19:41

That;s exactly it! Glad I'm not the only one as it means i'm not imaginin it! Hope it is all good! ladyem have you been to dr yet? perfectbaguette sounds like you are similar as us bit a week or so ahead - up to you to keep us informed of your symptoms so we know what's coming

MrsRigby · 17/10/2009 20:07

Evening

love2dance I'm so sorry .

Hello fellow newbies .

DH and I both have a feeling I'm going to miscarry, we finally admitted it to each other today.

I don't want to miscarry.

Why do we both have this feeling? We never felt like this with DS. The sooner I get that scan the better.

I'm trying to be positive, I don't have any of the symptoms - I'm still checking the 3 BFPs (it's really stinking out the downstairs toilet).

We went to Mothercare today and brought a teddy and some 'baby boy' and 'baby girl' clothes for the new baby. Something physical until the scan.

Then visited my in-laws and ended up going out for lunch with them - they paid, which was really nice of them. Must txt them and thank them again.

I do wish they'd back of a little though. Before we've even got through the door they want to hold the baby (he's 11 months and heavy and just wants to crawl and cruise), today the camera was out pretty much all the time, the mother-in-law put cusions over the fireplace, got teddys etc for DS to play with (even though he doesn't want to play with them and we bring his toys anyway) and basically she takes over. In the restaurant we sat down and she asked if I wanted the table moved a little so DS could go on the end. Twice I said no, there was room, DH also said it was okay, but she went ahead anyway and moved the table. She just completly takes over.

Anyway, sitting here waiting for The X Factor to start, how is everyone?

Yeh I forgot to mention, I'm munching on some Thorntons chocolate - DH made me buy some .

bluesnowfalcon · 17/10/2009 20:13

mrsr i really hope all stays ok with you

thinking of u x

mumandlovingit · 18/10/2009 09:21

mrsr wishing you the best.

if i go by the conception indicator pregnancy tests i think im 6weeks 5 days today.feel sicky on and off but no actual vomiting.shattered beyond belief, very sore boobs and bloated belly that makes me look 4 months already.

we're tryin to keep i quiet until ive had a scan around the end of the month to find out how far i am due to irregulr periods but we've already had some people commenting.i dont want to deny it incase i brings me bad luck but dont want to confirm it either.

went and looked a prmas yesterday, couldnt resist it.i definitely want a silvercross linear freeway. the colour i want is relatively new thougha and no store stock it, it has to be ordered in so i cant actually look at one in the colour i want to decide if its definitely the one. it will probably be in the shops early next year maybe when it becomes the normal colour for that season.

no idea how we will fit the silver cross carseat in the car as its quite wide, alongside two britax seats for older children with the head protection bits on the top.i dont want to take one of the children out of a seat and put them in the middle with just the seatbelt so we will have to have some fitting sessions i think.strap dp to the roof maybe lol...

trying to keep positive but really looking forward to getting past the 12 week mark and my scan.they said it will be booked in as an urgen scan as i could be 12 weeks by my last period (i know im not that far) but i havent heard yet, i dont know if im waiting for a letter or phone call.

im rabbitting on now. wishing you all the best and hope our little beans hold on and produce healthy babies.

theperfectbaguette · 18/10/2009 10:36

morning all - am I the only one waking up unable to get back to sleep at sparrow fart? Night before last I got out of bed at 3:30 to pack my suitcase....this morning I was out of bed at 7. I work from home and this is my first pregnancy so not like me at all.

MrsR I'm sory to hear that your feeling so pessimistic. I hope that your fears turn out to be unjustified, if you dont mind me asking what feels different about this one to your last?

mumandlovingit know what you mean about not wanting to deny it, I'm only 5 weeks and it feels way too early to tell anyone. I went to my MIL's b'day last week and BIL commented about my not drinking, my pre-planned lie went right out the window and I just looked at him like a rabbit in headlights and shot off, basically just pretty rude. Not helped by the fact that last time I saw them I had a huge moan to SIL about wanting to have kids and DP stalling, to the point that BIL in law had a word - n now I'm up the duff.

One friend just came out and asked straight out (she knew we were trying) so I told her, but I've not even told my parents yet and I'm actually staying with them at the moment. Having said that I've got no morning sickness at all - which I'm a tad concerned about - so keeping the secret isn't that tricky. Planning on telling them at 7 weeks.

Trying hard not to brows in baby sections of shops although I REALLY WANT TO.

Ladyemmalou83 · 18/10/2009 12:27

MrsR I really hope you have a lovely little sticky bean. Im keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you x

ClaireDeLoon · 18/10/2009 13:42

theperfectbaguette I did some lingering in the baby section of boots earlier!

Hi all, sorry haven't been on this thread for awhile. Had a bit of rough weekend - brown spotting I had since thursday turned to red on Saturday is getting slightly heavier with mild cramping. Not feeling so good at the moment - going to ring early pg unit in the morning and hopefully get seen asap but worried though - I had brown spotting in both previous pgs but nothing like this....

God, scrappy sorry to hear your having a shit time of it. I'll be keeping fingers crossed for you.

Hi all, sorry to hear those of you who are having a difficult time.

MrsRigby I felt really pessimistic about my pregnancy with DD, was absolutely convinced I would either miscarry or something was very wrong with her. Although I didn't have a particularly straight-forward pregnancy she is a very healthy little girl now. Hope things work out ok for you too, and you get some reassurance from your scan.

I've felt really rough today, feeling really sick which isn't nice. Am going to stay with my parents tomorrow so will tell them, which for some reason i'm a bit nervous about - very silly!

Cadmum · 18/10/2009 21:25

Good evening all. First day of feeling ill and hungry from dawn until dusk here.

I suppose that I will summon the courage to add my name and info to the list. My track record is not good and even the 12 week mark will bring little reassurance as the losses I have experienced are mostly beyond that point. (With 4 happy, healthy dcs I will not dare complain though.)

We are currently living in Switzerland and I have no idea how the health care system works here with respect to pg so the research should keep me busy for the next little while.

Roll on the first scans.

Mrsr any news? Been thinking about you and hoping all is ok.

Morning Ladyem still having the funny stretching feelings?

Perfectbaguette how are you doing? Any new syptoms that I need to be on the look out for?

I seem to be fine at the mo apart from the fact that I now prefer my cup of tea black and food seems to repeat on me all the time! What about you guys?

imkeepingmum · 19/10/2009 10:05

Food repeating on me too bluesnowfalcon, glad it's not just me! Apart from sore and huge boobs (which appeared way before BFP) am also now feeling slightly queasy and bloated. Otherwise OK and still doesn't feel real!

tafftaff · 19/10/2009 10:13

Hi all,

Please can I join the thread? I'm due on 3rd June and I already have a rather fabulous DS (15months). I haven't had a chance to catch up with the whole thread but it looks like there's plenty of us already. I've added myself to the list (plus my age, arghhh!).

Theperfectbaguette...I didn't have any morning sickness with my first so I shouldn't worry about that. Count it as a blessing as I am certainly feeling different with this one...very very queezy and super tired. Oh by the way...what is the perfect baguette...am starving all the time?

Soooo tired, and coming down with a cold, and DD had me up 4 times in the night?and too much work to do?uggh?

Welcome to all the new mini-bumps

Loves2Dance ? so sorry to hear your news. Hope you?re recovering and wish you more luck next time

Woofie ? ouch!!!

Ladyemma ? don?t get too excited about the bounty pack!! Although the wet wipes holder is very useful

Scrappy ? fingers crossed for you

MrsRigby ? sounds like your MIL is just overexcited; it will be good to have her on hand to help once you have the next lo, even if she does drive you mad! At least it doesn?t sound too sinister?I guess its sweet that she wants to provide her ?own? toys and get things nice for you ds. But I do know how irritating even well-meaning MILs can be when they just don?t listen?!!!! Try to stay positive, and enjoy the chocolate!

I?m 6 weeks today. Feels like time is passing very slowly this time?.the only people I?ve told in RL are my dh, my mum and (yes, this is ridiculous) the head of HR at a major telecoms company, because they offered me a fantastic job on the day I got the positive result?.! Sods law, eh? Had to turn it down (yes, I know they were obliged to keep the offer open anyway, but I would have forfeited all my paid mat leave?) and am a bit gutted. Even more so because the last time I got offered a brilliant job (at a different telco!), I got pg with DD so had to turn that down, 2 years ago?.!! What?s all that about?!!

So I?ve not been telling friends, who all know we?ve been trying, but am avoiding denying it too. I'm happy to drink the odd glass of wine, and dp and I are pretty good and swapping glasses when no-one is looking, so no-one has noticed so far, despite lots of big dinner parties and social meals over the past few weekends.

OK, had better go and do some work....fillybustering again....

Blue Im still cramping on and off, and to add to it Im getting lots of lower back ache. DH is in Spain till wednesday and I could really do with his emotional support through these pains. I know its sound silly, if I can make it to Sunday then it will be the furthest I've got. Trying to not think about it, but each ache/cramp reminds me. As im off for 2days Im just going to veg out with the sky plus box and my 2lt bottle of water!

Love2dance so sorry to hear your news. Hello to all the newbies!

Haven't been on in a while because all of our family came down with the sickness and diahhrea (sp?) bug that is going around. Uggghh - What a horrible experience.

Just left with normal morning sickness now - is it too early to hit the gaviscon do you think?
