Tink, I would try offering bracken some slices of soft fresh fruit, like banana, and things like soft bread and butter for a variety of textures for her to start playing with, even if her main food is from the jars. Kind of like a cross between BLW and Puree feeding - it eases the pressure on puree making. Although having said that, I can't remember how old she is - is she past 6 months yet?
Do you make it in big batches? I used to have a steam and puree day on Sundays then freeze it in an icecube tray - though of course, these days, you can get 'special' ice cube trays made by Annabel Karmel too.
Sorky, I assumed that was the case, and knew that I hadn't put on much, and had possibly lost some (legs are looking quite good!) but was still shocked that its as little as it is!
DS has been obsessed by very into Dora the Explorer recently, and has been pestering me for blueberries and bananas, so we've been and bought some this afternoon.
Whilst at the shops, I took the opportunity of buying some rather yummy full fat puds - I've been craving them in the evenings but we don't normally have anything for pudding - I've got thick and creamy rice pudding (scoffed one already), pannacotta and blackcurrant cheesecakes. All individual pots, I hasten to add!
LBOT - would echo the 'rest as much as possible line' - I was in pre-labour for four days with DS and was so exhausted I couldn't think, I thought it was the drugs making me out of it, but a post birth review showed that not to be the case and it was actually exhaustion! I'll be trying to relax more this time around!
With DS I had my show on Tues morning, contractions on and off until very early Fri morning when my waters broke, and didn't start labour properly till about 6.00am.... it was a very long week!
