Hi Diege Good luck with physio, and the shopping!

Kayz, just a thought, if you wanted a new one, have you tried here for prices? We bought our washer/dryer from them, saved us £200 on Currys prices. Washer/dryer was crap, but that wasn't their fault, and they did deliver when they said they would etc.

Right, am going to go and hunt down some breakfast, and sort the kitchen out. Is it wrong to be really fancying fried egg and home made chips? At 9.20 in the morning?

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 07/07/2009 09:23

Nat - my friend is a driving instructor for the AA and says she prefers people who are nervous for their first few lessons. Hope it goes really well.

Diege - hope physio goes well. I'd be interested to know what they recommend.

GP says the cauterising can sting. First time he wasn't that fussed but last week he was screaming the place down! (Could have been because she was running 20mins late though!) We'll wait and see what happens this morning...!

Kayzr · 07/07/2009 09:26

Well it's fixed now and it cost us just £100. What he said was wrong actually wasn't the problem It's only 18 months old so don't want to get a new one yet!!

I've decided to book a holiday for next year. Then I will have to be able to drive or we won't be able to go!!

Kayzr · 07/07/2009 10:28

Just paid for that website Nat linked to for practising the Theory test! I might book it soon, I am just a bit worried about the Hazard perception bit of the test.

lastboxoftampons · 07/07/2009 10:47

Hello everyone:

Nat - tough one with your neighbor. I agree with Ses that it sounds as if her life kind of revolves around you and your family or that she's really really bored Think the truth about your friend's argument probably lies somewhere in the middle of what friend says and what neighbor says, but really how much does it really matter to neighbor? It might've been slightly disturbing for the 10 mins, if that, that it went on, but it's not as if she has children that she's worried about hearing the swearing or anything. People argue, it's totally normal. It's really not on for her to be reprimanding you and your children in your own garden! I would probably go around one more time and say something like - I know you told me you weren't upset with us when we last spoke, but you seem to be now. and maybe tell her you don't appreciate her telling your children to shut up, especially when you were doing something harmless that you had done many times before. If she has a problem with you, she needs to tell you. But in the meantime, I'd start the detachment process anyway! After that, just ignore her! Hope it all works out okay.

LOL RE: the syndicate dates - look, guys, I KNOW the 24th is a Friday, I've only been counting down for 8+ months! I had a slight panic yesterday after posting as I had the smallest bit of what looked like some bloody mucus. But think it didn't come from the front IYSWIM - sorry that was way TMI! But then started to think about how I was totally NOT ready!!!! Still have so much to do! It made me realize I totally left going on mat leave too late. I still haven't finished my handover document and need to do some serious clearing out of my desk today! It's not that I can't cope with work physically or mentally, it's just that it could be 'any day now' and I guess I just feel like I need to have nothing pending!

That's good KAY about the washing machine, esp as its not old at all. Oh and don't worry about the hazard perception thing, it's built up to be far worse than it is (and no-where near as bad as real hazards such as roundabouts IMO )
LBOT, know what you mean about clearing the decks for proper leave. I also made the mistake of doing 'bits' and in fact sent a report 3 days before my waters went. Never got those lazy days of watching Sex in the City dvds and going to aqua-natal that I dreamed of! So yes, get it all out of the way/plead illness and get some rest - goodness knows you won't get any after the birth
Off to get bus soon - please let this rain stop! - back later x

Morning all, just had a read back through the thread and it has taken ages so of course I can't remember most of it now.

LBOT - not long to go now, how exciting. I'm sure you are more ready than you think but agree you should get all those little last minute jobs done then lie back and relax. I'm already counting down the days until I finish (8 weeks, 4 days to go), not because I can't cope with work at all just because it is such a lovely summer and I am sick of being in the office.

Nat - sorry your neighbor is being a bit odd. She does sound jealous. No advice sorry - I think you just have to ignore it and try not to let her upset you.

Kayz - glad the christening went well and your cake looked fab. Glad you got the washer sorted.

Sorry - really can't remember anything else but Hi everyone and I hope you all had a nice weekend .

Had a lovely long weekend away on the boat. It was really quiet and relaxing - sometimes we went an hour without seeing another boat - the weather was gorgeous and it was great for DP and I to just chill out together for a few days.

Just a quicky...

OMG! Downsides, it's right next to rail line, not a problem for me (as long as it's all fenced off properly!) grew up right next to train station, soon get used to train noise.

Wow!! That kitchen-come-Grand Canyon

I should really stop looking, it will be long gone before we're ready to move

Kayzr · 07/07/2009 11:54

Nat, that house is gorgeous!! Is there no way you can move sooner?

NatalieJane · 07/07/2009 11:55

Nope, need time to save up for the moving costs/deposits/first month's rent/our moving costs etc. etc.

Did you see The Kitchen?!

Kayzr · 07/07/2009 11:57

Yes it is great!!

NatalieJane · 07/07/2009 12:00

LOL, but did you just glance, or look

Am really trying not to ring DH! LOL Will go and get on with the washing, I need space between me and The Kitchen!

Kayzr · 07/07/2009 12:02

Yes I looked!!

Ring him!!!

NatalieJane · 07/07/2009 12:12

You are very bad.

You are very bad!

It sold for half a mil in 2007 And it's been refurb'ed since then!

How can they make any money renting it for £900 a month?

Another downside, sound's like it only has one bathroom, not even a wc downstairs Am very determined to make sure that I can have a bath with candles and smellies and the boys don't have to disturb me by coming in to use the loo, we must have at least two toilets!

bumpsnowjustplump · 07/07/2009 12:15

afternoon all.

Nat it is not nice when you fall out with neighbours but at the same time you can not let anyone try to live your life for you. I think i would write them a letter and letting them know how upset you are that they told ds to shut up and that you are disapointed that she is letting her argument with friend to influence the way she is treating you and your boys... To be honest if anyone told dd to shut up while she is playing in the garden I would not only give them a piece of my mind but also have nothing more to do with them.

Ses hope today goes well and that it isn't as painful for little O.

Diege I havent heard from sorky either is she on Holiday??? J is lovely Diege he really is getting big isn't he!!

If you are lurking Sorky hope you are well!!!

I have been having a crap time. DS still not sleeping both little ones have had a nasty virus and ds had his 3rd lot of jabs yesterday and had an adverse reaction last night so we were up all night again.. He seems ok now but he was ok yesterday after jabs it was only at about 11 that he went downhill...

Moosy how is the barn coming along? I have eagily following progress and pics on FB....

Kay I would get a new machine as well we only paid £150 for ours....

LBOT sorry for my late date on the syndicate but dont worry I have only got one right so he will be a week old by the date I predict comes around I am sure.....

He everyone else I will try to keep up but can not promise i am shattered....

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 07/07/2009 12:16

Back from GP. She was running 20mins late again bu DS was v brave and stared at the lights on the ceiling whilst gurgling away quite happily whilst she applied the silver nitrate!

LBOT - I think you've done the right thing in cutting down gradually at work. It probably feels as if you could have started ML by now but (heaven forbid) if he's nearly 2 weeks late, you'd be getting frustrated. Hopefully work are being understanding anyway.

IDOB - glad you had a good wkend. Sounds v relaxing!

Diege - know exactly what you mean about not getting chance to watch the planned dvds before LO arrived!

bumpsnowjustplump · 07/07/2009 12:17

How many spelling mistakes can I make in one post

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 07/07/2009 12:22

Sorry x-posted with loads of you as my mum phoned whilst I was typing.

Bumpy - how is DS doing? What about DD - has she calmed down at all?

Nat - definitely an OMG house!!! Reaaly well refurbished!
