Moosy · 05/07/2009 21:16

Kayz your cake looks great, the second coat turned out really well! And yours is way better than your SIL's, she didn't even do her own writing

Diege · 05/07/2009 21:21

Evening! Busy one today with sister over with nieces. Photos look fab KAYZ - I would have been a bit at SIL if I were you with the other cake . It does look like a lovely day though (love your outfit btw )
More shoes for dd1 TINKS ; you are as bad as me...Ordered a few bits from the Boden sale, including some cute trousers for ds - I have to say I am getting into boy's clothes
Hi STAR, good to hear from you . You must be shattered with 2 hourly night feeds . Hopefully it's just a stage?
SES, hope the BBQ went well today - bet you're shattered too!
Pile of ironing for me then bed - putting the bloody ironing board up has been enough for me!
Let's hope we all get some good stretches of sleep tonight - though I can't really complain at one 3am feed a night. Having said that, staying up for 11pm one is what does me in! ...

Diege · 05/07/2009 21:22

x-post MOOSY! Hello!

Starshinetiger · 05/07/2009 21:39

Trying to toss up between need to express (need stores for my day out next Sat) or going to bed - DD been asleep for 1 hour 10 mins and this is normally her longest stretch!
Christening looks lovely Kayz - at your SIL!!

lhello

Just checking in on the nughtshift

Kayz. Pics of today are great. Your outfit looks really nice on you. V annoying about the extra cake. !

SES hope your BBQ went well today andyou got to see someof the tennis final. Thanks for the info on the cream. Its clotrimazole not daktarin.

Diege; waving at fellow 3am feeder. How is lying down feeding going?

Ok here. Tried another dream feed tonight as I was awake at 11.30. Just doesn't work as she just woke up. Might try fully waking her first GF style.

Done here now byeeeeee

Kayzr · 06/07/2009 07:50

Morning,

DH is back at work today after a week off. My Dad is still here at the minute so DS1 isn't being too much of a pain.

Meant to be having my blood tests today but I feel really ill! So going to rearrange it.

Hope you are all well.

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 06/07/2009 08:39

Morning!

Sorry you're feeling ill Kay.
Photos are great. Looks like you had a great day

BBQ went really well. Time went really quickly and the babies were all pretty settled until about 7pm when it was a bit like the domino effect! As soon as one started, they all did!

Today my car is getting a service and MOT. I've found someone that my mum knows who is coming here to do it all. Just hope it's not too expensive...

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 06/07/2009 08:43

Meant to say too, anyone who's email address I have (Sorky, MinM & Glaskham I think), if you got a random email from me about nike shoes, ugg boots and a link to a website, this is a (harmless) virus so just ignore it and delete it. Sorry...

Diege · 06/07/2009 08:56

Morning! Glad BBQ went well SES, and that the babies were well-behaved!
KAYZ, hope you feel better soon and can have your bloods done to try and get to the boittom of why you feel so rotten xx
GYO, re: dream feed I've never had the guts to fully wake up my lot with light on etc, and normnally do it in the (semi) dark though there has been the odd occasion when they've woken up and I've put the light on, and tbh it's not made much of a difference sleep wise (the light thing/being fully awake I mean). Oddly the times I've brought it forward to 10.15 have been when they've slept until 3.30ish - after 11 they seem to wake 2ish - odd! For the 3am feed I use a bottle of formula (too sleepy to bf if that makes sense!)and may start to reduce quantity slowly as J isn;t esp hungry at 7. How does mini GYO take the 7am feed? Must be really hard fully bf on GF - I take my hat off to you! I'm only doing bf for 10.30 and 7pm at the moment - not sure he's getting much but at least it's something.
Nothing really planned today - may give a friend a ring to meet up but other than that just house stuff and an on-line supermarket shop I think. Very dull here (weather and plans)...why did I complain about the heat??!!

tinkisback · 06/07/2009 10:07

morning

i feel happy happy happy

good hopping diege dont u just luv a sale.

dd1 does only have doodle sandals and clarkes white leather sandals, doodle red trainers and pink shoes.
i found staying up till 11pm the hardest bit used to watch endless road wars on virgin1

sorry you are feeling ill kay get well soonx

dd1 is still playing up doesnt listen when you tell her no laughs @ everything is very full on and demands attention all the time

have a naughty cushion inplace, have written up rules, her daily routine and using her reward chart again to make her feel more secure.

dd1 only has 2 weeks of nursery left

have ordered from amazon for her nursery leaving pressies - kippers basket with audio cd has 8 stories and arrggh spider just the book

Diege · 06/07/2009 10:19

Hi TINKS - dd1 sounds very much like my dd3- agree, a structured routine with clear boundaries etc is the way to go, though far easier said than done at times, esp at end of the day I find when only a good shout seems to cut it
Ds screaming, so better get him fed. Sun out again and it's too hot...

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 06/07/2009 10:45

DS was having a really good morning and was sleeping soundly in his moses basket. After just 10mins though, the postman knocked at the door, the dogs barked and DS woke up! Nice to have a parcel though. I think it's a book of somesort for DS from SIL.

tink - sorry for DD1 playing up. Routine and reward chart sound good.

Weather dull and grey here too.

lastboxoftampons · 06/07/2009 11:07

Hello everyone Hope you all had good weekends!

Kay - Christening pics are fab and your cake looked great. at SIL - bit presumptuous of her!!!

Ses - glad your BBQ went well, was perfect weather for it!

Diege - thanks so much for posting the CD! I will look out for it. And J is a doll! Such a cute face he's making in those pics Noticed you liked horror films when looking at your profile - love the first SAW myself, great film! But was totally down hill from there!

Well, made it through DH's Barcelona weekend without any action here, which is very very good! DH said there was another guy on the stag do who's wife was due the 22nd and he got "the call" after he had only been there for an hour! Made us a bit more relaxed though as what are the chances of two guys on the same stag do with the same situation!

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 06/07/2009 11:10

Hi LBOT
Glad you both survived the Barcelona weekend without any major happenings! V dramatic for the other guy that got "the call" though! Did you hear the outcome?

You need to get your syndicate started girl!

lastboxoftampons · 06/07/2009 11:26

No, no news on the other guy - DH didn't know him so probably won't be forwarded the info but he did say he talked to him a little bit about it before he got the call - I think it was his second or third baby, so I guess it can happen quickly!

Okay, so what do I need to do about a syndicate? Do I just do my dates and my own guess? I keep having numbers pop inot my head, which I find v. weird!

It is getting very real. Picked up the moses basket we're borrowing from friends this past weekend and it's set up in the bedroom. Got maternity pads for me, newborn nappies for the baby and various other bits and bobs. Baby's bag is all packed and I started mine this morning. Today is my first day off of mat leave (I've got two weeks where I'm going in 3 days a week)...it's so hard to believe that in a matter of a few weeks, we'll have a baby! DH admitted last night that he's finally nervous!
