OP posts:
glaskham · 20/06/2009 09:40

Kayzr · 20/06/2009 09:41

You'll be fine!!! You are a fabulous mum and you'll cope. But think positive. Repeat after me "I am not pg, I am not pg"

glaskham · 20/06/2009 09:42

been doing that kayz... will just have to wear some dark sunglasses and a baseball cap to run into chemists... may buy a basket full and just hide it in the middle of what she's scanning- she may not notice then!!

glaskham · 20/06/2009 09:45

OP posts:
Kayzr · 20/06/2009 09:45

Yeah buy some other random stuff. I did that when my period was late when DS1 was 6 months old. I got some shampoo, hairdye, toothpaste and calpol.

glaskham · 20/06/2009 09:49

Kayzr · 20/06/2009 10:20

Do it when you get home. You are a week late so you don't need to use FMU.

glaskham · 20/06/2009 10:25

ok... DD2 is sorted... time to dress the rat-bags... will post later when i've tested...

OP posts:
Kayzr · 20/06/2009 10:27

Ok then.

Must keep out of baby name topic. Someone just said Freddie sounds like a public school twit name.

glaskham · 20/06/2009 10:43

right i'm just about to set off... need the loo but gonna hold it till i get home... be back in about 30mins or so with the results... fingers crossed... (and arms and legs and anything else you can possibly keep crossed for me!!)

OP posts:
sorky · 20/06/2009 11:04

A week late, crikey!

Mine hasn't returned at all yet!

glaskham · 20/06/2009 11:30

just done the test...............................

negative!! hu-bloody-rah!!

Sorky- it returned at 6mths (but fell pg on first cycle so didn't actually have a period) with DS and at 8mths with DD1... it returned at week 7 this time after giving formula... wondering if now i'm exlusivley BFing again if its just stopped?? can that happen?

OP posts:
sorky · 20/06/2009 11:47

mine doesn't come back until the last night feed is dropped, I don't know whether exclusive BF from now will delay it tbh Glask, would think so really, maybe that's why you're late and it's negative

Diege · 20/06/2009 13:12

Afternoon . Thanks again for all the wise words from the wagon. I had no idea that these feelings were so common after a traumatuc birth, or that so many of us on the wagon had been through similar. Have been ok today until I found the t-shirt I laboured in in the washing pile, and the tears started again. I have to say though that SORKY's comment about (I can hardly write it) 'monkey brain' got me chuckling, and has no doubt put strain on my scar . Will be ringing SOM at hospital next week anyway, plus doula coming over on Tues or Thurs, so will be good to talk. I wish I was able to cry in front of hv etc though - I am very much 'fine' in front of health care profs and feel mortified at the thought of crying in front of people!
Great news on bfn GLASK! Thought there might have been a wagon honk coming there for a minute!
Jacob was actually perfect gf baby last night , going down at 7 in his basket upstairs, waking 10.30ish for dream feed, then again at 3ish, then 7, so relatively refreshed. I have been sneaking the odd snuggly nap in bed with him though - really lovely and can see how co-sleeping is so appealing.
Onto Wimbledon - well what can I say, other than this knee rouse is simply a cover for the fact that he's on paternity leave of course . A bit of a blow, but I suppose Murray may have a chance now..
Right, better get on - weekends with 4 are a different matter to weekdays!
