alibobins · 20/06/2009 15:59

Well I'm 12 weeks now but will be relieved when I've seen my little beanie on thursday
Still feeling sicky but not actually been sick.
Not really showing seem to have lost weight
Just booked Dd Miley Cyrus tickets for christmas they are for 23rd December so Dh will have the joy of taking her just hope beanie doesn't come early.

bethoo · 20/06/2009 19:53

Lottie glad things are ok now, cramping is normal and remember that with twins apparatnly you get twice as much symptoms as single pregnancies so twice as bad ms too!
Star i read your other thread and am horrified that your nurse said that to you in labour, i would have seriously considered complaining as it has more or less traumatised you which could have implications for future pregnancies.
bought a DVD for pilates for pregnancy so convinced myself i will do it everyday and end up with calves of steel by labour day!
my ms is back on an evening! though still have not actually thrown up!

liny · 21/06/2009 12:33

hello girls,

The scan is for tomorrow (12 +2d)and I'm quite nervous now... funny eh,I could not wait for it, and now I'm worried that things might not be all right ...etc...
Anyway, felt quite dizzy this morning so I hope this will pass.
I have also bought a pilate book for pregnancy. I was told to stop any exercise until 12 weeks as I had some spotting initially. But hope to get the all clear tomorrow so that I can start swimming again..
Good luck to the others with a scan next week!

bluespix77 · 21/06/2009 17:48

Hi All
I know I haven't posted much, but thought I'd let you know that we had our 4th scan on Friday and there was no heart beat, so I've had a missed miscarriage. D&C booked in for Monday.
I wish you all, the very best motherhood.

dal21 · 21/06/2009 17:52

sleepingalot · 21/06/2009 18:51

bluespix so sorry to hear your sad news.

nervoussara · 21/06/2009 19:37

Hi all,
I haven't been posting on here for a while, but have reading all yours.
bluespix really sorry to hear about your news. Take care.xxx

I've got another scan tomorow as been having cramps and still have spotting. Will be 8+2.
I have been really struggling with this pregnancy, my depression and anxiety has gone sky high! Will moan now - went to my gp 2 weeks ago for urgent referral, well I've
heard nothing. Rang last week, and someone was meant to call back, never did. Good old mental health team. My gp wasn't particularly helpful either, well you might be like this for whole pregnancy were her words. Great. My dp is being amazing, thank god, poor man. I don't think he thought it would be like this.
I will stop ranting now, promise. It's just all so bloody scarey and daunting.
No ms, but am just incredibly nauseaus from about lunch time onwards until I fall asleep.
It's been really funny to hear about yr food obsessions for chips, crumpets etc.. Carbs is definatley the way forward, and just to keep eating.
Well sorry for being a moany old cow, but jsut had to get it off my chest.

coffeeicecream · 21/06/2009 19:59

Sorry to hear of your loss blues pixx and Esme must be such a horrid thing to have to go through. Thinking of you, and wish yoo all the best.

Dizzyclarebear · 21/06/2009 20:02

Bluespix - so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are ok.

Nervoussara - feel free to moan, I'm sorry to hear you're having a bad time. You need to chase up your GP and make a fuss. And I wouldn't worry about leaning on your DP, that is what they are there for!

Mental hugs from me to all those struggling today...

coffeeicecream · 21/06/2009 20:04

I gave in on Fri as felt so unpregnant and had even less symptoms than before. I went and had a private scan and there was a lovely heartbeat 179mpb and lgs wavingand i am apparently due now jan 21st so bit more pregnant than thought. Tummy is getting v big def in maternity jeans.
The sonographer said that it is fine for symptoms to come and go, she also said in yr 2nd prg your body may have got used to ms so doesnt react so badly. Hope this reassures people. She also said after 8 weeks miscarriage rate drops a lot.

Liskey · 21/06/2009 20:26

Sorry to hear that Bluespix its a horrible thing to go through, I know. Take things as easy as you can afterwards.

Thats wonderful news coffeeicecream - you must be feeling so reassured now. Where did you have the scan done? I've my scan date for the 8 July but I wish I'd pushed for an early scan - I'm convinced I've had another mmc. Last time I bled early on and I haven't now but like last time I don't have any ms and my only real symtom is tender breasts (oh and no periods of course) - I don't feel very pregnant and I'm worried about that - I've not had a successful pregnancy to compare it to.

coffeeicecream · 21/06/2009 21:28

Liskey i went to The fetal medicine centre in London.I called in am and got a 2pm appointment

Liskey · 21/06/2009 21:33

Cheers for that - I'll google it and see if they have any locations out of London - I'm in Yorkshire so not possible to make a trip down there

AmyLou32 · 21/06/2009 22:16

Hi all,

I haven't posted much either, but thought it best to ask to be removed from the Jan 10 list as I too, found out on Friday that my pregnancy was not to be (would have been 11 weeks today) had some bleeding and stomach cramps, and although my first pregnancy kind of knew something was not right. It was recommended by the doctor at the EPU that I opt for the natural route, but no idea what this is going to involve, not keen on surgery really although I know it is a small op..... Bluespix Esme understand what you are going through, hope all works out for the best, and to all the other mums2be wish you the very best and no doubt over the next few weeks you'll all start to bloom beautifully x

timmette · 22/06/2009 07:25

Oh no Amylou I am so sorry to hear your news.

kittykat765 · 22/06/2009 07:30

oh bluespix77 & AmyLou32, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. It seems to be happening so much but I suppose its because in RL there are not normally so many people in our position so it doesn't seem so common.

sleepingalot · 22/06/2009 08:05

So sorry AmyLou32. Hope you are okay.

MamaLazarou · 22/06/2009 10:17

Hello everyone, I would like to join your group. I am due 24th January, this is our first, long-awaited baby and we are very excited.

Can I ask if anyone's planning on going to ante-natal classes? I don't see much point, but my husband is keen.

(My sincere sympathies to those ladies who have sufferred loss. I wish you all the best with your next pregnancy.)

somewhathorrified · 22/06/2009 10:35

liskey I'm the same, very few symptoms, mainly sore boobs and cramping (both of which have now pretty much stopped). I'm not worried about it, what will be will be.

mamalaz welcome to the group. I'm leaning towards doing some kind of class...someone on here mentioned hypnobirthing which looks like my kind of thing. I think it's important for me to find some class or other, mostly because I don't really know many people in my immediate vicinity and it'll help with my own socialisation.

MamaLazarou · 22/06/2009 10:54

Thank you very much for your welcome. I am definitely up for hypnobirthing (not least because I am planning a home birth with minimal drugs). But classes nearby are extortionate, so I was planning on doing a cd at home (I did the 'preparing to conceive' one, to help me get pregnant).

It would be nice to meet other new parents locally, though. My husband would run a mile from this - he is painfully shy!

sazlocks · 22/06/2009 11:15

morning all
esme, amylou and bluespix so sorry to hear of all your losses and wish you happy and healthy pregnancies when/if the time is right for you.

welcome mamlazarou and congrats. We were relatively new to the area when we had our much awaited first pregnancy. We joined NCT which while expensive was a total lifesaver as from it we now have 8 good, local friends and its been lovely getting to know all their babies. It was my DH idea of hell really but the class was so small and the teacher so welcoming that she put him at ease. As well as NCT we worked with a hypnobirthing tutor as we planned a home birth as well. Birth didn't quite go according to plan but Hypnobirthing fantastic preparation and we will def be doing it again if all works out well with this pregnancy.

All ok with me - went to a fab party at the weekend with a salsa band which were cool. Still feeling rough as *&^% and very, very sore boobs and can't believe I am not quite 9 weeks - time going soooooooooo slowly.

bethoo · 22/06/2009 11:27

so sorry Amy and bluespix thoughts are with you. take care

ampster · 22/06/2009 11:41

sazlocks maybe you can help with something i've been wondering about? i had my first baby (he's 1 now) in sweden so obviously couldn't join NCT type things over there. now i'm back in london and desperately need local mum friends. i've joined the NCT and been sent a list of local coffee mornings in my area but i guess i'm slightly worried i'd be intruding on a group of people who formed friendships way back in 2007/2008 when all pregnant with their first babies. am i being stupid / shy / oversensitive? would i be like the extra uninvited guest at a wedding? should i just get over myself and go anyway? i should, shouldn't i...

amylou32 and esme so sorry to hear your news. wishing you all the best over the next few weeks.
