katster I so admire you for enduring full-on MS at work. I teach, but thank goodness this time the distraction of lessons really seemed to ease things - I tended only to throw up at home. So long as I had easy access to dried apricots, chocolate and lettuce to nibble on I was fine. Don't feel bad about taking time off - see your GP, you need the break.
helips I asked my MW about a homebirth after a cs and she was pretty clear that whilst I was well within my rights to ask for anything I wanted, I was no longer low-risk and she certainly wouldn't recommend being too far from the hospital. In fact, I may have to kick up a stink to even be allowed in the midwife unit as opposed to dreaded old labour ward. My cs was a failed induction and I still have a few hang-ups about it, and would rather not see labour ward again!
southernbelle how are you doing? I'm now coming to terms with the wait for the scan - I think it's been such a busy week and now Tuesday is within touching distance I'm feeling much better. I had a parents' evening last night so was knackered today, and I don't know if it's coincidence but my bulge has felt like it's really swelling today which has helped me too. I haven't felt it do that for about 10 days. Saying that, it could just be bowel stuff....
Apples have definitely been my saviour this pg, as well as decaf coffee, strangely. I thought that I'd go right off the stuff but it makes me feel much better whenever I have it. Been feeling a bit more dodgy today than of late, but in a weirdly different way. DD had a temperature at the childminder's today, so I hope I'm not in for something. Time to go and lie on the sofa and glare at DH for watching snooker all evening
