Online in bed very sad but great to catch up with you all.Found a new (to me) wedsite which has some maternity clothes. It is quite expensive but ther are clothes in the sale section. It's called the pyjama room.Might be good for someone.

My girls went for a sleepover last night so enjoyed an evening with DH and a curry.Sadly the girls had so little sleep that they were pretty gastly today.Sent them to bed at 7pm as they were naughty and exhausted so enjoyed another peaceful evening.

treats is it you with hyperemmisis?I can't quite remember.with DD1 I was 7 and a half stone at 5 months!!!DD1 was9lb 3oz so she got what she needed.Needles to say I was very big at term!Don't worry about weight gain it will happen.

I am sadly still feeling sick tonight. It should stop soon.I will be 16 weeks on Tuesday.

Enjoy the sun tomorrow.night night.

fidelma · 18/04/2009 22:24

HC hard one.If you tell the girls everyone will know.My DH didn,'t want to tell anyone that I was pregnant until 12 weeks but I am A very sick and B very open.It was very hard.I stupidly told a womam in the curtain shop that I was pregnant (before anyone knew)my DH buisness partner and wife came in the next day and she said you will never guess who's pregnant!!!Nightmare then followed. So my advice is to try and make him agree with you.Otherwise you may end up with a curtain shop nightmare !!! Good luck xx

Evening all,

sammysam so sorry that you are still so worried I really hope these three weeks go quickly for. Sorry to hear that you are still suffering with sickness, hopefully it will ease soon, but its a strong sign of pregnancy hormones so hopefully all is well.

littlepea I wonder how they got there!? lol
I put the cereal box in the fridge the other day and left the milk out so can't really talk!

Great news on the results sparkly!

Off to bed too, i am so tired.

MeHimCatBlob - I have lost so much weight with the sickness, I am well under what I started with. It will be fine

lol @ the notes reappearing, tis the kind of thing that happens round here.

HC - with the telling, in the end I won the arguments down to hormonal tears. Not an honourable victory, but still a win

LMB - I regularly do that with the cereal (and the kettle in the fridge) regardless of pregnancy

MeHimCatBlob · 19/04/2009 20:39

Hi

thanks for the comments about weight - i havent really had sickness but am pleased to know its not just me.

Hattie05 - am almost 40 so my mw tells me I am high risk - I know that if I have the triple test and its shows a high probability, I don't think I could not have the amnio but DP feels that we will love the baby whatever so isn't keen to do the test - he's not pressuring me but I'm not sure i can be so positive about not knowing - am also worried about the miscarriage potential

on a different note, can anyone tell me where to buy maternity work wear? Spent hours this pm trying to buy a suit but M&S, Next and Mothercare (most of my large shops here) don't have anything other than really casual clothes which arent appropriate for my work? Ended up having a good cry in the changing rooms at Mothercare I was that fed up and tired. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Flamesparrow · 19/04/2009 20:40

I have been given some nice skirts n things that seem to be from H&M or red herring

MeHimCatBlob · 19/04/2009 20:57

thanks Flamesparrow - am not big on shopping at the best of times so will check those out

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2009 08:25

Ooh I like that

sammysam · 20/04/2009 08:32

Morning

MHCB-are you ok now? How long do you have the cast on for? That must have been very worrying and also must have upset your plans for your trip

Had quite a bad day of sickness yesterday-it seems now that if I don't have enough sleep and eat teh right things at the right times then it make sme so so much worse. Today won't be good either since we have NO food in the house so have already failed to do that plus started off in a bad way fro yesterday I may have to try and brave tesco feeling very rough to do a huge shop with a potty training dd........ does not sound like a good idea to me

This week'll be the test for dd-everything is back on now so have Tumble Tots this morning-if anything is going to make her have an accident that will......

Feeling much brighter today for some reason....think it must be the weather!

I've shocked myself by (kind of deciding) I think I do want to find out the sex......previously I really didn't but I think I'd like to since i'm worrying so much......not quite sure how we'll manage not telling anyone or everyone-will talk to dp tonight and try and work out a plan...

theboob · 20/04/2009 08:43

morning everyone

i had a lovely break and ds2 is almost back to normal, the fresh air worked a treat

weather is lovely here today but have so much to do this week for ds1 first holy communion this sunday,i got together with 3 other mums to have a party for them and family and friends.....lots of planing but will be worth it

feeling he stress at college,1 more essay to go then revising for my exams on the 5th and 8th of june, i feel like giving up and just oing the nursing diploma

sammysam hope you feel better today and survive tesco

littlepea72 · 20/04/2009 09:17

Sammysam....if you go to tesco's & wake up with a mars bar being put in your mouth, you know it wasnt a good idea & you fainted! lol....I think you know at the scan if you want to know the sex, i couldnt go that long not knowing. Im also feeling really sick if i dont eat or sleep, but i keep telling myself its a healthy sign....but fingers crossed that we all start feeling better soon!

Theboob, think of all the hard work you have already done, it will be so worth it in the end....stick at it! I couldnt do what you are doing, i think you are great for doing it.

We are off today to see another school for DS, the army have been really nasty after telling us we are going home....we are now going to another town half an hour away! DS is 5 next month and this is the 4th school he will be at, thats not counting nursery...to much & its starting to show as he is playing up big time.

Have a great day everyone & enjoy the weather!

Flamesparrow · 20/04/2009 09:56

Sammysam - can you not just buy the minimals today and do an online order for the rest? I know you have to pay delivery, but for the sake of not wandering round feeling rough with the potty training one, it would be worth it.

I know I am always much worse with tiredness - I get this pounding headache and neck ache right before the sickness which tells me when it is tiredness induced.

lal123 · 20/04/2009 11:44

morning all - haven't been in ni over a week - so have tried to get caught up!!!

Still over a week to go til my scan (will be 14+2 by the time I have it) and booking in at the same appointment. Have now told folk at work (told a few folk the day before I went off for a weeks hols, came back and the whole place knows!!)

Its been lovely to have some time off - I don't know how I'll manage a full day at work without a 2 hour nap....

smallone · 20/04/2009 12:40

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is progressing nicely. I've just had the mw here for my booking in/15wk appt so have heard the babies heartbeat for the first time! She was really nice and has refered me to one of the HV's who specialises in diet to try and help me find some protein I can tolerate.

Sickness is still around, it tailed off for a couple of weeks and is now back with a vengence!

Right will try and catch up now!

littlepea72 · 20/04/2009 14:56

Glad everything went well Smallone & you got to hear the heartbeat, that makes all the difference when you havent had a scan.

KleineMaus · 20/04/2009 18:17

Hattie thanks for your post about home births. Can I ask how far from the hospital you live. That's one of the things that's bothering me. I'm about an hour away. But if I gave birth in the birthing centre, which has no medical back-up I'd be further from the hospital than I would be at home, by about 20 minutes. I had a really smooth birth last time round but I can't help thinking about my poor mum would have lost both me and my sister if we hadn't been born in hospital. I don't suppose I should worry about it too much just now though as although ds's birth was fine, there were predicted possible complications which meant we had to be in hospital, and there's still plenty time for something like that to come up this time round.

Am of those debating whether to find out about sex or tell, as they won't tell you here and I'd really love to know (but am cheap and don't want to pay for a private scan!)

KleineMaus · 20/04/2009 18:18

Forgot to say to Hattie, congrats on scan!

rubyslippers · 20/04/2009 19:51

hi all

hope everyone is ok - lovely, sunny day - made going to work bearable

have to take DS to the GP tomorrow to check whether he has "slapped cheek" or not so am a little worried

am trying not to google ... not sure how long that will last

sammysam · 21/04/2009 08:34

Ruby-don't want to worry you but in my experience GP's aren't always capable of diagnosing-if you are in any doubt ask to have your blood tested.

Thanks all. I made it round tesco without feeling tooooooo bad. Weid as it sounds I think the fact that dd wouldn't go in the trolly made me have to really involve her-asking her to pick things up etc and try and keep her near me that my brain was so busy it as least kept my brain off feelig sick iyswim. I wouldn't really reccomend it though as I felt like i'd been hit by a train last night! I did far too much yesterday!!!
What is keeping me going at the moment is i'm 17+2 now and i'm telling myself I must be well over half way through the sickness (hopefully more!) so soon I'll be able to eat and drink like normal and have my first glass of water for months!!!

Having a quieter day today to rest.....the sun is out and that ALWAYS makes me happier

Flame-sending you big hugs. I really hope you feel better soon. Do you think it might be worth trying to see the nice GP again and try some different pills?

Got a little bit excited the other day when I started searching for a new sling-I can't wait!!!! I think the only new things we're going to get this time is a changing bag and new sling and i'm stupidly excited

HumphreysCorner · 21/04/2009 09:45

Sorry to those with sickness still-I sometimes feel a tad nauseous like today and that is bad enough. Had MS for 5 months with DD1 so sympathise. Have a headache and have had a cold for 2 weeks now (well, think it is a cold)

ruby-hope DS is OK. This slapped cheek seems to be coming more common-had never heard of it until recently.

Flame-hope you get to rest today.

Kleine-I would be distraught if I couldn't find out the sex but wouldn't be able to afford a private scan.

Who has the first 20 week scan? Mine isn't until the 13th May.

DH has fallen out with me as the girls now know about their baby brother-he is furious infact as we didn't tell them together. I met my friends yesterday and how were they to know that the girls didn't know . DD1 is so excited whereas DD2 is not really bothered. DD1 was DD2's age when we told her about DD2 and she wasn't bothered then until DD2 was born. So, I should think DD1 will tell everyone including the PIL. She pats my bump all the time, it is lovely.

Nice and sunny here in Lincolnshire.

Take care ladies, must go and eat something to help the acid.

Laters!
