princessmel-welcome back and sorry to hear you have a funeral to go to. Results due by 3pm and the time is dragging.

There is another lady on here who had a CVS and knows she is having a girl-can't remember who though. So 1 girl so far.

Icantbelieveitsnotbitter-things are sounding better.

sammysam-potty training sounds like it is going like a dream.

theboob-only DD2 has had the pox and she was quite young so it never bothered her. I was hoping DD1 would catch it as I got it at 14 and was very poorly with it.

Still another 4 hours to go.......

Love to all.

HC - not long to go now! I'm going to be away from the pc for the rest of the afternoon so will catch up with you later - hope all is well.

BellaC - I sent that email and wrote that I'd deleted all my personal info, but was watching tv over the top of my laptop and completely forgot to delete it. I think you now have full address, phone number and email address!! Please can you make sure these are deleted etc once you've ripped off the bits you need? Ta x

My nose is feeling permanently blocked but the nausea is loads and loads better, its such a shame I didn't get to feel this good last time around! Hey ho. I've even eaten fruit and vegetables these past few days, which after a diet of mainly pasta, cheese and white bread is quite something!

Best scoot, got a fair bit of driving to do this afternoon.

Treats · 16/04/2009 13:16

Hi Tangerine - glad you're feeling better today. That must be so hard for you. Hillsborough is still one of the most horrendous tragedies I think I ever heard of - I remember being very affected by it at the time, although I have no personal connection to it as you do.

Can't offer much advice on maternity clothing as have only really dipped a toe in. Am loving my Red Herring maternity jeans at the moment, but have been a bit disappointed with the quality of a lot of what I've seen. Hope you find something nice.

theboob - shame about the MWs asking you about the father! you'd think they try to be more tactful. And why does it matter anyway? Surely the only thing they need to worry about is who the father is of this baby?

IBINB - glad you're feeling positive. I know when I got the potential gastroschisis diagnosis that I did just feel calm and optimistic and - sure enough - it turned out to be nothing. Maybe your instincts are telling you that everything will be OK. Fingers crossed.

HC looking forward to hearing your amnio results.......

HumphreysCorner · 16/04/2009 13:54

Results are in and I'm having a boy and he is fine. They will phone with any more findings in 2 weeks ish. My 2 DD's will be thrilled when we eventually tell them.

Marvellous news HC! How exciting, a boy after two girls!

sammysam · 16/04/2009 14:13

HC-fantastic news nothing to worry about now! You must be so happy! I can't stop grinning!!!!

Icantbelieveitsnotbitter · 16/04/2009 14:23

HC - great news!! I'm hoping I'll find out the sex in 2 weeks time - all these extra scans and worries it would be nice to know if I'm worrying about a him or a her (or as my brother would say whether I'm going to be a mum or a dad !!

BellaCullen · 16/04/2009 14:29

HC congratulations on your results and that its a boy.Your so lucky to already know the sex, cant wait to find out am convinced mine`s a boy too.

Sparklytwinkletoes thanks so much for e-mail,don`t worry deleted your details of it.

theboob hope your ds wil be getting better soon with chickenpox.

Flamesparrow hope your sickness goes soon.I still feel sick too but not as bad as you.Hoping it gets better after 16 weeks although it seems worse rather than better today.Bought some coca cola which seems to help and crisps help too.Not best things I know.

You definitely get less appointments and attention from midwife when its not your first.Every pregnancy is different so should be treated as such.

*HC SO happy for you. Wonderful news.

I think I'll find out the sex when I have the scan. I'm absolutely sure it's a little girl though!

I got my nuchal/blood results back this morning and I'm very low risk for downs - 1:1500. So perhaps I'll finally just relax and enjoy the next few months .

rubyslippers · 16/04/2009 14:50

woo hoo! great news HC - and let me tell you boys rock

aw - what a relief and so pleased everything is ok

LittleMissBliss · 16/04/2009 14:53

HC- Congratulations on your results! So happy for you that it is a boy, it must be the cherry on the cake after two gorgeous girls!

I am so hoping for my girl now 4+ weeks to wait. Still think it's a boy even though i've now purchased two lovely dresses Haven't told dp he'd think i was a loon!

Off to see this house in a minute.

hi everyone else!

Treats · 16/04/2009 16:08

Hi HC - just checking in to see how you are. Great news about the scan and congrats on having a boy! You'll have the same kind of family that I'm from - two girls and a boy - and I've always had just the best time with both my siblings.

DH and I are still in a dilemma about finding out about the sex. Feel like I want to know even more now.....

hackneybird · 16/04/2009 17:25

HC massively delighted for you.

I also just got a blood test result letter from the hosp telling me I'm very low risk too (1:6407), so am feeling happy about that.

I plan to find out the sex if I can. I can't not know, although the grannies want it to be a surprise.

nyone else planning on finding out the sex?

HumphreysCorner · 16/04/2009 18:09

That is great results hackney. I really admire anyone that waits until the birth to find out. After finding out that we were having DD1 we said No2 would be a surprise but then with high risk results I really needed to know what a precious baby I was carrying after the all clear. Also, was so angry and annoyed at the PIL's insistance of not knowing that I was determined they would be knowing. This time they haven't mentioned about not telling them after last times argument discussion in the middle of a restaurant (first time I ever answered back and said my piece) Of course when we tell the girls they will happily share the news I'm sure.

Had a text from my SIL (the one who was nasty about TTCing No3) and she said 'that'll please the PIL and no need to go for No4 now'. a) we didn't have No3 for the PIL, infact they thought we were mad to have another and b) we were always going to have 3 regardless of gender.

Hope all OK.

Great news HC & happy days....a little boy! xx

fidelma · 16/04/2009 20:50

sammysam great potty training what a wee star.I would take her nappy off at night she has got it.My DD2 was like that and didn't wear a nappy ever again aged 2.DD1 wore one at night until she was 4 and Ds1 until 3.

Great scan news and welcome little boy.

I was sick this morning but on the whole getting better.

Off with my husband next tues for a night away. For my birthday.Mum is looking after the children. So will look for some Mat clothes when in the city.Has anyone tried Gap?

boob how are the pox? thinking of you.And nasty MW

I also feel quite achey.Sleep tight.

sammysam · 17/04/2009 08:49

Morning all!
Congrats to everyone with good news/results

fidelma-wow to your dd2! I think we're going to leave the night time nappy for a little bit longer just to make sure it is no fluke Still no accidents so think she will deserve the baby annabell I bought her -think we'll give it to her tomorrow!

Boob-how is the pox? I think there have been some nasty strains around recently-have heard of a few ending up in hospital so hopefully you're allon the mend now. Tis something that in hindsight would have been good for dd to catch before dc2 is born.....

Have the mw this afternoon-hopeing that maybe she has the results or maybe can find out.....just need to know where I stand.
Only just over 3wks til 20wk scan and then a few days later i'm supposed to be going on my sisters hen holiday-would be nice to know that I can still go so I can get excited!
Which reminds me has anyone seen a nice maternity tankini-not too expensive? I need one for hols but also for dd's swimming lessons and aquanatal (if I manage to find a class) Not sure i'll fit into my costume next week for swimming

Dp and I are still to have a big discussion about finding out the sex-he wants to, I didn't don't, but with this scare I could be swayed-trouble is I really don't want everyone knowing-do you think that there is any chance of keeping it to yourselves or a selected few?!

HumphreysCorner · 17/04/2009 09:40

sammysam-I am actually getting annoyed with DH due to his reluctance of not wanting to tell anyone that we are having a boy. As for me, have texted everyone and told the world on Facebook. So, it is possible to keep the news to yourself if you are like my DH but not if you are like me. Good luck with the MW.

How is everyone else? The sickness must be passing soon for everyone as we are all past 12 weeks now.

Have ordered a white denim skirt off LaRedoute last night in 2 sizes so hopefully one will fit then I can return one. I love to wear a skirt and sandals in the summer but never found a decent maternity skirt before-this one looks perfect. I found a £15 off your first order discount code on the net but I see it has taken £7-50 off each skirt so if I return one I am on a loser. If I had bought just one it would have £15 off-oh well.

Have a good day ladies.

lixanismapolium · 17/04/2009 10:03

sammysam - we were going to keep the sex a secret with DD and that lasted about 3 days! We ended up telling everyone and keeping the name a secret instead. We absolutely refused to enter any discussion over names with anyone at all and that worked OK, so at least there was one surprise for everyone else on the day. It also prevented people from trying to turn us against the name we had chosen. I think we'll do the same this time - even with DD. I have already told her that we won't know the baby's name until he/she is born and she seems to have accepted that for now.

littlejay · 17/04/2009 10:32

HC - that's such lovely news!
We're not going to find out at our 20 week scan (unless it's pretty obvious as happened to my friend when she was expecting a boy and the Sonographer looked at the very obvious willy and asked, "Did you want to know the sex?")
fidelma - I've tried some Gap maternity jeans (still no bump but was desperate to try some maternity clothes!) and they seemed pretty good. They also have some nice smarter trousers.

Treats · 17/04/2009 10:41

Morning everyone. HC - sorry that your relationship with your ILs is so . I was hoping that I would get on better with mine when I got pregnant, but it doesn't look like it. I'm trying to just accept that they're fundamentally rather selfish, and that I just have to find a way to accommodate them within my life rather than caring too much about what they say or do. Think it will be difficult once baby comes though. Fully expect that there will be some issue they get upset about because they don't think that it's right for their grandchild, entirely ignoring that it's mine and DH's child and our decision. We shall see.......

On the subject of maternity wear, I've just been trying to find a link on the French Connection website to the dress I'm wearing today (doesn't seem to be on there - I'm out of fashion already and I only bought it two weeks ago!). But it's fab. It's a knee-length grey jersey dress with a pussy bow neck, but it's not in the slightest bit clingy or fitted, so maxo comfy. I've definitely got a bit of a bump now - this dress hides it quite well, but I'll still be able to wear it as I get bigger. Much better than any of the maternity stuff I've seen so far. Sorry for droning on but just had to share . Hope this helps someone......

rubyslippers · 17/04/2009 10:42

morning everyone

hope everyone is doing well - is anyone having any cravings yet and also has anyone felt the baby move?

i may be being silly but am sure i felt it last night - a weird tightening and bubbling.

I made DH have a feel and he was sure too

it may have been indigestion

rubyslippers · 17/04/2009 10:43

treats = your dress sounds lovley

i have just bought 5 tunic tops - none maternity but all nice and stretchy ... I have invested in a good pair of maternity leggings though

hackneybird · 17/04/2009 12:09

HC I'm speaking out of turn, but your PILs sound quite bossy and domineering.

Fidelma Gap are doing a 30% off offer from 23 April onwards, and you can sign up here. www.gapcorporateinvite.com/spring09/en/join.asp?int=1

Treats French Connection have some lovely stuff don't they. I have noticed dome beautiful smocky dresses which aren't maternity, but which would work just as well. I might invest in one to wear with footless leggings so I can hide my hideously pale and stumpy legs.

ruby I swore I could feel movement last night. Like bubbling and twitching. I am only 14 weeks and it is my first, so perhaps it was wind
