I'll be 12 weeks when I get married in 2 weeks time. I was supposed to get married in August but moved it forward, last tried the dress on 6 weeks ago, I just hope I can still do it up. I can't get down to my mum's to try it on before the wedding either. Eeeekk. Am already 6 pounds above what I usually am (too tired to burn much energy).

Penny - Monsoon has some lovely empire line dresses that will float over your bump, I should think. The ones with gathering or bows at front should do a good disguise job to.

Oh..I've got a wedding on the 8th and I've decided on wearing black trousers and a tunic type top (if I can still fit into them by then

Am having a wonderful relaxing day as my mum and dad have taken DD away for the day and a sleepover tonight. Was planning to get a scooton with my cleaning but can't move from the sofa without the huge need to throw up

McD's sounds wonderful (especially pickles and mustard- yum) expect that would mean moving and going out in the pouring rain [lazy arse emoticon]

PennyBenjamin · 15/05/2009 18:01

Ooo, thanks for the fab link!

SarahL2 · 15/05/2009 18:41

My dress is empire line and has a tie round the waist which should hide the bump a little. Will put on my best push up bra I think to draw attention elsewhere

Might go for either the tights or one of my looser pairs of magic knickers (I've been wearing them daily for over a year so they're not as tight as they were) as they should smooth things out without squishing baby too much.

Thanks for your help guys

Someone mentioned earlier about having excess saliva and a horrid taste in their mouth. I am enjoying sucking lemons..... sniffing them helps ease the nausea too. have managed a ham and salad cream sandwich tonight just cant cook anything. could be sick at any time but am determined to keep this sandwich down.... my dp says my tummy rumbling is keeping im awake at night...... no love thats your pig like snoring waking yourself up!!

sparklycheerymummy · 15/05/2009 19:08

bravissimo do some gorgeous dresses. esp if your boobs have grown to the size of melons like mine!!

SarahL2 · 15/05/2009 19:36

I started with 30G's so i'm going to need parachutes soon!!

I hope at least. I'm having one of those not very sicky sfternoons that make me panic

Felt awful this morning so hoping that I get my usual evening of nausea just to reassure me.

sparklycheerymummy · 15/05/2009 20:17

am in bed already here.... only way i can wave off the sickness xx

Hi is everyone having a quiet weekend or have i missed another thread. Just waiting for dd1 to get back from a weekend with her daddy and stepmum. House is far toooooo quiet!

SarahL2 · 17/05/2009 15:47

Just a quiet weekend I think. Hope everyone is OK.

Has anyone told people yet? We told our families over the weekend - the negative reactions to a December baby - or more specifically a christmas day baby - have been quite disappointing...

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/05/2009 16:47

Sarah - we have told my parents, and my best friend knows, thats it. All fine. Though i am looking forward to my Xmas baby - my MW dates me at 25 Dec EDD - i cannot think of a more familyish, wonderful special feeling time of year for a new baby to come in to my house!

My MS has gone and tiredness going, thank god!

LittleMonkeysMummy · 17/05/2009 16:53

Sarah - Don't let their reactions get you down. My mum said something similar when I told her. TBH Her reaction was only that way as my cousin was born on Christmas Eve and generally only got 1 bigger pressie rather than 2 seperate ones! But other than the present aspect she was delighted.

Scorpio - am so Wish my MS and tiredness was going. Have spent most of the weekend vegged out on the sofa feeling rough. Am anxiously awaiting DH coming home on Thursday so he can entertain DD and I can sleep

SarahL2 · 17/05/2009 17:40

very Scorpio - I had MS with DS until 5 months so I'm not expecting it to go away any time soon

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/05/2009 17:44

oops! I tend to have easy pregnancies after the first 8/9 weeks...coming up to 9 weeks now. Still feels surreal!

Blakey1 · 17/05/2009 18:07

Hello - this is my first day on mumsnet - I am due around 23rd december, my first baby - all quite surreal at the moment, but hoping to get my head around everything quickly !
Is anyone else expecting a Christmas baby?
Lots of advice welcome.

SarahL2 · 17/05/2009 18:08

That would be so lovely.

Unfortuneately, I had MS with DS till 5 months and then Pre-eclampsia at the end!

This is one of the reasons why baby number 2 will be our last!!

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/05/2009 18:09

Hi Blakey My Edd from MW is 25th Dec, LOL, but my period date is 22nd, MW said to wait until dating scan for a date. How have you been feeling? First baby? mine is fourth

SarahL2 · 17/05/2009 18:09

Welcome Blakey1

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/05/2009 18:10

Oh yeah Sarah, winky face, i believe you! I have always said 4 children.

Blakey1 · 17/05/2009 18:13

Hello SarahL2 and Scorpio - I have been feeling O.K - a bit sick but I dont mind too much because I know that means everything is normal, I had a miscarriage last year after catching chicken pox - so am O.K with feeling sick this time around!
I must admit to being really cinfused about what to eat and not eat - but am trying to learn more every day.

SarahL2 · 17/05/2009 18:16

I am one of four and loved it but I seriously can't do this again!!

ScorpiowithabigS · 17/05/2009 18:20

Thats what i feel like now - nope, no more for me!

Blakey - sorry for your loss, i had a mc in Feb, have been nervous this pregnancy until i had my scan on tuesday just gone.

cazzybabs · 17/05/2009 18:22

having a christmas baby is lovely..dd3 is born on dec 14th, although having had 2 lovely normal births before her I was tricked into thinking I would be able to do all my Xmas shopping after she was born. She was then emergency cs and I couldn't do that much shopping - although I didn't trust dh do it so 4 days after I dosed myself up on pain killers and went into town and finish it. I won't be making the same mistake this time - although I am planning on working right up to my due date!

Blakey1 · 17/05/2009 18:34

HI Scorpio - thanks, I was lucky enough to have an early scan last week which showed a tiny little heartbeat - very reassuring, so fingers crossed !
Does anyone know of a little handy guide to what you can and can't eat - I know the basics, but opinion varies so much - especially on dairy things...

Blakey1 · 17/05/2009 18:35

p.s Sarah if you wore a fabulous hat to the wedding then it would be a great distraction from tummy area...!
