Had some pink spotting yesterday so went to Doc this morning... was chaos there as their computers were down, but I got a scan for this afternoon. Bit apprehensive.....!

LaDiDaDi · 12/05/2009 11:19

I've told family and friends who I see regularly and my immediate boss but not everyone else. There is going to be a little baby boom going on though as I know of three others at work who are pregnant between 22 and 12 weeks!

Baisey · 12/05/2009 11:21

Has anyone lost their brainpower yet?
Ive dragged my DS and I out of bed to get ready this morning because I had to be in work...
I arrived at work my DS happily playing at my mothers, I wasnt rota'd to be in today.
I cant remember the simplest things.
Lolianja hope all goes well at the hospital, im thinking of you.

Baisey · 12/05/2009 11:23

I had to tell my work as soon as I found out, literally the same day lol, I found out at 3/4 weeks. I couldnt risk them not knowing, my job entails doing heavy lifting and such. But since then my nails are lovely and long because I dont do the lifting now!!

Catz · 12/05/2009 11:36

Schumpf and Lolianja -thinking of you both at the hospital today. Hope that all goes well.

sparklycheerymummy · 12/05/2009 11:37

littlemonkeysmummy - I am an ata in a school for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties. I was working in the 11-19 unit for children on the autistic spectrum. They are very high need and non verbal, essentially non communicative really though obviously thats what we strive for. a lot of their communication was through gesture..... often quite phtsical and aggressive.... tables chairs etc etc Sounds mad but I sooooo miss them. I am in a less vulnerable role now but the challenge for me is just not the same. WHen a student communicates their wants or dislikes through other means than aggression or frustration its amazing. i know the move is for my own good but when you love your job its hard to leave.

I hope lolianja is ok xxxxx

sparklycheerymummy · 12/05/2009 11:39

Sclumpf ... thinking of you too xxx

lollie77 · 12/05/2009 12:23

Schumpf and Lolianja - hope all goes well today. Last time I had severe right sided pain, worried about ectopic but it was just a cyst which disappeared, hopefully pain is nothing to worry about Lolianja.
Baisey - yes, totally lost brain power!! Keep forgetting where I have put things, lost my keys every day in the past week!

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/05/2009 13:21

Thinking of you both Lolianja and Schumpf x

SarahL2 · 12/05/2009 14:44

OK, this is a little gross and probably TMI but is anyone else getting LOTS of discharge?

It's clear and non-smelly but there is just tonnes of it! I've been convinced I must be bleeding more than once cause it's so heavy. It's making me feel wet all the time.

I remember getting a little more discharge with DS but never this bad!

Sould I be worried?

lolianja · 12/05/2009 14:56

Returned from the hospital (some hours ago, but was too far in a state of shock to even call my parents, never mind go near a computer).

Had an internal scan - no ectopic pregnancy. They couldn't find anything to attribute the bleeding to, just "one of those things". Same story with the pain. The elevated hCG though... there was an explanation for that.

The baby is just fine.

So is its twin.

SarahL2 · 12/05/2009 14:58

Wow lolianja!!

Glad your babies are fine

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/05/2009 15:12

OMG Lolianja

How exciting !!!

Moosy · 12/05/2009 15:22

Catz · 12/05/2009 15:24

Wow Lolianja congratulations!
If I remember rightly that makes 3 under 1 doesn't it!
Look after yourself and hope the symptoms ease soon.

EffieGadsby · 12/05/2009 15:46

I haven't posted much on this thread since joining it, but I've been following Lolianja & Schlumpf's situations today, and I'm so pleased about this bit of good news! These must be the first confirmed twins for December? Congratulations Lolianja; wonderful.

Claire236 · 12/05/2009 17:05

Lolianja - Twins. Wow. That must have been a shock. Glad you're ok.

SarahL2 - loads of discharge here too. I've also run to the toilet a few times convinced I'm bleeding. It's nothing to worry about though.

lollie77 · 12/05/2009 17:21

Wow, twins!!! Congratulations Lolianja. Do they run in your family? How are you feeling about it?

Deanna1977 · 12/05/2009 17:39

Congratulations Lolianja!

sparklycheerymummy · 12/05/2009 18:24

Wow thats ace Lolianja. So pleased its good news!!!

Baisey · 12/05/2009 19:41

Yay! congratulations Loli im so pleased for you!

Schlumpf · 12/05/2009 20:06

hey there! - after a disheartening 'I can't really see anything' from the sonographer, she then gave me an internal scan and found Baby (singular in my case - congratulations lolianja ) complete with heartbeat.

So all fine it seems, though its size is smaller than my dates suggest, which is a bit odd....hmm.

docket · 12/05/2009 20:08

wow - lolanja! huge congratulations!

Catz · 12/05/2009 20:44

Schlumpf, relieved to hear that you saw the baby and the heartbeat. Were the dates much out?

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/05/2009 20:46

Good news Schlumpf
