Tillyscoutsmum - good news on the scan!! Hopefully my instincts are off too, keep thinking something is wrong, having cramps like before period and had a little bit brown discharge (sorry if TMI), phoned EPU and midwife said not to worry and monitor for 48 hours.
On the plus side though (I think?!) I feel crap, feel nauseous pretty much all the time and boobs feel like someone used them for a punch bag!!
Does anyone else feel like a day feels like a week when your pregnant and waiting for a scan??

sparklycheerymummy · 11/05/2009 17:06

yes lollie... absolutely. i already have dd who is 7 and am sure i wasnt this worried last time. just busy registering for free stuff online!!

Milliemuffin · 11/05/2009 17:08

Hi Lollie, I'm either 4 or 7 weeks but I'm pretty sure it's 7 cos of how i feel, my weight gain and I just feel more pregnant that I think I would at 4 weeks. We had a miscarriage in march and i'm not sure if i then conceived on 1st april and then had implantation bleed on 9th or if that was my 'first period' and that I actually conceived on 23rd april, got a very bold positive line on the hpt on wednesday (day before AF was due) so just have to wait for the scan...

Milliemuffin · 11/05/2009 17:10

...I say day before AF was due but after a miscarriage who knows when it's actually due, i was just going on the average which i read on a website somewhere.

lollie77 · 11/05/2009 17:11

When is your scan Milliemuffin? If you have it before you go, you could decide then based on how far on you are.

lollie77 · 11/05/2009 17:13

ooooh, what free stuff are you getting Sparklycheerymummy??

Milliemuffin · 11/05/2009 18:06

Am absolutely gutted. Just saw my doc to explain to her that I think I'm 7 weeks and she refused to agree saying 9th april would have been a period not an implantation bleed and even though i've had a miscarriage they still wont scan me til 12 weeks which isn't until july! pretty sure the whole world will be able to tell by then! I know I'm 7 weeks, I've been having twinges like stretching twinges and I'm pretty sure you don't get them at 4 weeks. really gutted :-(

sparklycheerymummy · 11/05/2009 18:16

sometimes they are so unsympathetic!! Where are you .... the screening centre in Leeds does a dating and viability scan for £70??!!

Milliemuffin · 11/05/2009 18:19

It means I have to tell people I'm pregnant without even knowing if there's a baby there or not :-(

Milliemuffin · 11/05/2009 18:19

In hertfordshire so nearest is £95.

Milliemuffin · 11/05/2009 18:20

I've also felt sick for 3 weeks which if she's right would mean a week before i conceived! How can she not see that i'm 7 weeks :-(

Claire236 · 11/05/2009 18:48

Millie - I wouldn't rely on the pains to tell you how far along you are as I've had pains with both ds & this time which started both times when I was only about a week gone.

I've got my scan next week which I'm nervous/excited about. Before that I've got to go away for a few days this week for work which I really don't feel like doing. I don't have the energy for anything. I'm 10 weeks today & feel huge. I've grown of all my normal trousers & am getting by with a combination of a bump band & some trousers I've bought which are a size bigger than normal. Not only am I getting bigger quicker than with ds but I'm also a different shape.

sparklycheerymummy · 11/05/2009 18:52

i have lost weight and no evidence of a bump os swelling....???? quite glad as i dont want to tel dd7 just yet!

SarahL2 · 11/05/2009 19:34

Can't face dinner tonight. Going to have more egg mayonnaise sandwiches

sparklycheerymummy · 11/05/2009 19:37

i have just eten a whole lemon........ stopped my mouth tasting foul of sicky stuff though. quite fancied cold new potatoes and salad cream but cant open the pan cupboard as it smells funny and makes me sick. my dp is working as usual x

SarahL2 · 11/05/2009 21:37

The Chinese Gender Predictor chart says I'm having another boy but I feel different to last time.

Certainly never had cravings last time!!

Had Egg Mayo sandwiches and Tropicana Orange juice. Could eat it all over again if I didn't feel so queezy

lolianja · 11/05/2009 21:51

Just found more blood... and my tummy's hurting quite badly now. Mainly on one side.

Not got a good feeling about this. Will have to head to the doctor in the morning.

Catz · 11/05/2009 22:59

Lolianja, really sorry to hear that. Hope that things ease overnight. Good luck for the doctors tomorrow.

SarahL2 - the Chinese Gender Predictor says my DD is a DS...

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/05/2009 08:35

Lolianja - hope everything is ok

Sarah - the chinese gender thing got dd correct and has predicted another dd for me.

SarahL2 · 12/05/2009 08:49

Let us know how you get on at the Doctors lolianja, I hope everything is OK for you. Have fingers crossed x

So far, the chinese gender predictor has been right everytime I've checked it except for my friend who is due in September and is supposed to be having a girl but the scan showed a boy.

It got DS right.

I'll be happy either way. Part of me would love it to be wrong so I could have a girl, even up our household, buy lots of little pink things and shop in the larger part of Mothercare etc but at the same time - I know what I'm doing with boys, I have loads of boys toys and clothes already, another boy would be the best playmate for my DS and my MIL tells me boys are easier...

But I've got to get through the first 3 months before I feel brave enough to start getting too excited.

lolianja · 12/05/2009 09:13

Back from doc appointment, he was concerned by the dizziness, one-sided abdominal pain and blood. Test showed very elevated hCG levels... I have a hospital appointment in a few mins to confirm / rule out ectopic pregnancy.

sparklycheerymummy · 12/05/2009 09:17

oh lovey keep calm... . . . waiting to hear how you are! xxxxx

LaDiDaDi · 12/05/2009 10:48

Hope everything is ok for you lolianja.

I've got my booking apt with the midwife sorted for a week on Sat. I'm desperate to tell everyone at work but just feel like it will feel like the longest pregnancy in the world if everyone knows from now. The weeks are already dragging by and I'm desperate to see a scan.

Keep getting lots of cramping pains and I've got very sore boobs and I'm getting very tired.

sparklycheerymummy · 12/05/2009 11:04

i had to tell work at 7 weeks due to the nature of my job and the unpreditability of the kids. they have been great and it felt good to have people excited for me. the way i see it is that if something sad happens then the peole around you are able to support you. depends on what your like..... i need lots of support. just want to celerate that i have just eaten a whole ham and salad cream sandwich and not bee sick!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEEE

LittleMonkeysMummy · 12/05/2009 11:13

Oh Sparkly, I was the same with DD (I'm a teacher in a residential school for severely autistic and SEN kids) Haven't mentioned anyhting yet to my boss but I'm sure she's guessed (running off to the loo every 5 minutes and being selective avoiding about with kids I'm hands on with! ) Am trying to keep quiet til I've had my scan

Lolianja - Hope you are ok.

As for cravings...am now officially off of chocolate and desperate for dill pickles, capers and rhubarb (not necessarily all at the same time ) Oh and I've actually lost 3kg in the fortnight since I found out I was pregnant!!
