So sorry to hear of your loss QueenOfLizards. Sending you big hugs.

I tried to book my first appointment with the midwife yesterday and have got a date for the 22nd of May Am sooo disappointd at having to wait for 3 weeks to see her.

Have been really ill today - had to call my parents to see if they could take DD out for the day. Dad turned up at the door and said 'what's wrong? Are yu pregnant or something?' Took one look at my face and shouted 'f*ing hell - you are!!'

Guess I'll have to tell Dh when he calls next time! Probably just as well cos I'm crap at keeping secrets!

BoredWithWork · 01/05/2009 18:08

Just taking myself off the list. Had MC yesterday, got a scan next week to double check but it's not going to show anything.

Hope that you all go on to have healthy and happy babies.

QueenOfLizards and BoredWithWork, just wanted to say, if you're both still around, so sorry, look after yourselves.

MumOfBaby · 01/05/2009 19:08

Hi all.

Unfortunately I lost the baby at 7 weeks.

Thanks for all your support in the beginning.

I wish you all lots of luck, smooth pregnancies, kind labours and beautiful, healthy babies.

Gosh - more sad news So sorry Boredwithwork and Mumofbaby. Really hope you get BFP's soon and have smooth pregnancies next time

Moosy - thanks for asking. No more bleeding so, as it stands, I am still pregnant. Symptoms are still significantly less than with dd, so can't help thinking something is "not right". Will be booking a private scan once I am 8 weeks just to see what's happening

Baisey · 01/05/2009 21:37

DiDov · 04/05/2009 07:40

Hello,
How is everybody today. Exhaustion still a major issue with me, with its peak hitting in early evening which is unfortunate for my DS's bedtime story reading. God help him if he tries to squeeze more than 3 out of me. Not as drained as I was with my DD though so maybe this means it's a boy. Also, had headaches with DS practically from conception, which I've also had with this pregnancy. Well, we'll see.
alexispolismum I'm in Evia so giving birth in Athens. Had an emergency caesearean the first time and although I pushed my gynaecologist for a VBAC the second time, he wasn't really having any of it. Think it's something to do with insurance. Also, maybe individual reputation.

LittleMonkeysMummy · 04/05/2009 08:36

DiDov - Hope you get over the exhaustion soon. I know I'm hoping I do. Don't remember ever feeling this knackered or sick with DD (then again I wasn't running around after a 14m old all day )

Finally told DH on Saturday - needless to say once the shock wore off he screamed in delight down the phone at me Alos told our parents yesterday. Sooo glad to have done that as I'm crap at keeping secrets. Was actually amazed that my dad hadn't mentioned it to my mum. Most impressed as he's usually worse than me at keeping his mouth shut!

Hope everyone's keeping well.

retrodolly · 04/05/2009 08:50

Oh no, so sad for QueenofLizards, BoredWithWork + MumOfBaby. You're being very strong, I don't know how I would have coped. Hang in there.

retrodolly · 04/05/2009 08:56

LittleMonkeysMummy congratulations on your DH's taking the news so well - what fun.

I've been sooooo knackered is even an effort to sit here and check MN. Don't recall being this tired last time with DD but then, yes, didn't have a full-of-beans 14 month old to run after.

Have first Doc appointment tomorrow, then hope she will refer to me the Antenatal care unit at the hosp immediately. Really nervous about the high BP I developed late last pregnancy - set off alarms on the BP monitor I was hooked up to! Obviously am proud of that fact ... Not.

DiDov · 04/05/2009 09:19

LittleMonkeysMummy, retrodolly isn't early pregnancy fun with a toddler around?? Makes you realise how easy it was the first time round, though it certainly doesn't feel like that at the time

LittleMonkeysMummy · 04/05/2009 11:26

I know!! I thought I felt knackered first time round (working FT with SN kids and SPD from hell). However working PT with a toddler is sooo much more knackering [yawn emoticon] Just dreading in case SPD comes back as I really don't think I'll cope on my own then - may have to let my mum move in (she's already offered ) Actually think that would be more knackering as I'd spend all my time tidying up the house - she's a stickler for a clean house!!

DH has just been on the phone - I think it's taken a couple of days for it to truely sink in - think he was in shock!!

Have decided to go and see the doc this week as I don't think I'll cope waiting til the 22nd to see the midwife! Want to know when my scan is God I'm impatient!!

alexpolismum · 04/05/2009 13:15

Hello everyone!

I can totally relate to all the exhaustion! I spent the whole weekend yawning! And I've spent this morning paying bills, which is exhausting just to think about!!

Didov - I gave birth in Athens the first time, and I have to say it was totally different the second time, when I gave birth in Alexandroupoli. I think it's because Athens is a big city and it's so impersonal, whereas everyone knows everyone in Alexandroupoli, so word would soon get around about an awkward doctor. I don't think the caesarian had to do with insurance. The docs get paid more for a caesarian here in Greece, it's one reason why they have such a high rate. Did you get any breastfeeding support? I got none! Both times.

On another note, I've got all my family coming to stay in a fortnight, and I haven't told anyone yet. I'm not sure whether to say anything or not, but it might be a bit awkward if they guess!
