Hi all. Can I join? Found out I was pregnant last week & was debating whether to join or not. I should wait until 12 weeks really...

I think I am about 5 weeks & this is my second pregnancy. Have a DS who is 7 months. Wasn't expecting to get pregnant so quick! I know there are a few Mums on the thread who are in a similar boat.

Hello everyone!

I've just been looking through, and I see that a lot of people are going to have 2 fairly close in age. My first two are 14 months apart and will be 18 months and 32 months when this baby is born!

Is there anyone else breastfeeding during pregnancy? I did the last time too. I didn't expect to be doing it again, though!

I am still breastfeeding my toddler. I also did it last time, DD1 weaned when I was about 7 months gone (to soe relief - I was prepared in principle to try tandem nursing but not actually all that keen - and with some strong encouragement, to be honest). I'm rather hoping we will have a replay, but DD2 is more attached than DD1 was at this age, so we'll see.

i am still breast feeding...intend to it till about a month before

god i am knackered today...my legs don't want to move and i have been grumpy at work with my children

Ooh, how similar! DS weaned at a year old, so I was also 7 months pregnant!

I'm also not too sure about tandem nursing in practice, to tell the truth. It sounds all very well, but I can't help thinking that I'd get nothing else done all day!

me too, cazzybabs. Actually, I woke up feeling knackered. It was like that in my first pregnancy, I spent the first 5 months yawning!

obhh and whilst i am moaning i have horrendous evening sickness and am craving fruit and acvitly am off puddings and chocolate except at about 10 in the morning when i need a sugar high....I am living in hope that it means this one is a boy....we need some sausage in our house

off chocolate??? [sends waves of sympathy] I thought you needed chocolate to make a healthy baby! Can't you crave apple crumble as part of your fruit quota??

room for one more? I'm not quite sure exactly when I'm due but am going with 26th/27th Dec till my dating scan.

I have DD who will be just over 2 when the baby arrives.

No pregnancy symptoms so far although Dh says I should start telling ppl in real life as he can see a little bulge already
I'm feeling a little down at the moment as was planning on losing some weight before getting pregnant but hey ho guess the diet can wait 9 months.

alexpolismum I am still breastfeeding DD and am just going with the flow really. Hopefully it doesn't become to painful

Thank you so much Claire236 and Deanna1977, last time I gave bloods it took 3 members of staff an hour to find a vein that would bleed, and left me covered in bruises from shoving needles in so many times. I guess I'll just have to get it over and done with.

Cazzybabs - I can't stand sweet things at the mooent either, and am finding it hard to eat things that i feel i want to, iyswim. Yesterday i made cottage pie and ate loads, today i have a big fruit salad; just what ever i fancy day-to-day!

Whoever was worried about GP, you can insist on MW visits all done at home. You actually dont have to have blood done if you dont want to either; but it is recommmended as they check for iron levels, HIV, blood group etc. You could also put in for a home birth - i had one last time (3rd baby) and would recommend.

Feeling quite rough today.

feeling really exited today as i have my first appointment with the midwife. Only people who know at the moment are dh (obviously ) and 1 rl friend. I plan on telling just our parents at some point this weekend.

I hope it goes well for you, damnitdamnit. Where I live we see a gynaecologist all the way through pregnancy and only meet the midwife for the antenatal classes and the actual birth.

I haven't told anyone yet, either!

Statistically it was going to happen to at least one of us and unfortunately it was me. My early scan (7 weeks) showed I'd miscarried so I'll go quietly and will not be reading this thread again. Good luck with your pregnancies and I hope to join another ante natal club in the future...
