BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 15:51

God am so confused between work and MN world - let's hope I dont start signing off work emails with BB or fanjo warriors references!!!

Juwesm · 16/03/2009 15:53

Shop is only 5 minutes away. Think I will just add cocoa. DH will never know! If it's revolting I'll blame it on the home-made marmalade, which is a little dark and biter for my liking!

The trouble with all those wooden toys is that I then get it into my head that with a bit of MDF, a jig saw and some paints, I could make something just as good myself. I think I am drastically overestimating my own artistic skill. Which is why the door has gone from me painting the animals on myself, to decoupage!

LuLuBai · 16/03/2009 15:53

Oh that's lovely.

Ooooooh I can't wait to get back into my house and start sorting out the kids' room. DD didn't have a nursery as we were in a one bed flat when she was born and as we were trying to sell it we didn't get her any baby decorations. I am really excited about getting a mobile for this baby.

Juwesm · 16/03/2009 15:54

Mystery flavour BB.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 16/03/2009 15:56

LuLuBai wldnt dare try to come on mumsnet while ds awake he just insists I put wiggles on and presses buttons to stop me if I don't. Girls from work came round this monrning and bought me a mobile for a leaving present....we broke/overwound the one from ds.

LuLuBai · 16/03/2009 15:58

I'm having a mystery flavour too. But this morning I got quite worked up about not knowing. Throughout pregnancy I have been really happy with the thought of having a baby of any flavour but today I started hoping it is a girl. And then I started wishing I had found out - it would be horrible to feel disappointed by a boy. Because a boy would be lovely too, but irrationaly I started really wanting a girl.

Aaargh.

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 16:04

oooh LuLu snap

DH (well actually more DH's family) really wanted to know and I was adamant that I didn't want to know but it has bothered me so much over the past week or so -

I was 100% convinced I was having a girl but have recently really liked the idea of a boy!

Think now I just want to KNOW, to know what I have and have my baby!!

2 weeks today, 2 weeks today.... Just a questions I have a MW appt at 40+1 week - if I haven't had Lo by then will they give me a sweep or anything to try and bring it along?

LuLuBai · 16/03/2009 16:05

Yup Bumpalump I get that too. It's not good for the keyboard. But I'm trying to entertain her with 'Wind The Bobbin Up', 'The Wheels on the Bus' and 'Sleeping Bunnies' from the comfort of the sofa while I type away.... Occasionally she coerces me into 'Ring a ring of Roses' which is really hard work.

bumpalump · 16/03/2009 16:07

LOL....Sooo glad it aint just me.

LuLuBai · 16/03/2009 16:08

BB - yes a sweep is usually standard practice at a 41 week appointment. I refused it but they insisted I make an appointment for an induction at 42 weeks and attend midwife appointments every single day I was overdue which was a real chore.

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 16:09

Juw I have a complaint!!!

Thanks to you today I have eaten:

fresh bread and butter
tuna jacket potato
almost a whole packet of biscuits

And I now want cake hmmm

Of course this has nothing to do with my lack of restraint - it's all down to you subconsciously forcing me to eat what you have mentioned...

Juwesm · 16/03/2009 16:10

Throughout most of the pregnancy I've been feeling like it's a boy. Ever since announcing the pregnancy and referring to it openly, I've been referring to LO as 'him' for no particular reason. But over the last few weeks I've been starting to think of him as a her. I wonder if it's some kind of maternal instinct, or just my mind playing tricks. I feel like at the moment I would really like a little girl, and may have got my heart somewhat set on that outcome. But one of my work buddies maintained that she would be absolutely mortified if she had a boy, which of course she did, and she absolutely dotes on him!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 16/03/2009 16:10

BB - they should offer you a sweep

Juwesm · 16/03/2009 16:12

Hmmmmmm......bananas and custard.

LuLuBai · 16/03/2009 16:12

BB I've eaten 3 of those ginormous chocolate chip cookies from the bakery section of the supermarket.

No wonder I have fat knees.

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 16:12

See now I am due on the 30th so if I go massively over I am going to try and book in for my induction (standard after 2 weeks) for the thursday 9th (10 days after) so hopefully the LO will be here and will have the long weekend with DH and the baby! Although obviously hoping it wont go that long!!!

Juwesm · 16/03/2009 16:12

I made no mention of potato!

LuLuBai · 16/03/2009 16:13

[drooling emoticon]

bananas & custard - Ju you are evil

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 16:14

oooh now I want both of those things - more the custard to be fair!! STOP IT STOP IT!!!

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 16:15

Pregnancy Logic: If I eat the rest of the packet of chocolate biscuits I wont be tempted to keep eating them all day, or tomorrow!!!
