morning kaz - great to hear from you and that your babies are doing well. Can't wait for more pics!

Juwesm · 16/03/2009 09:35

Morning Kaz! Pics go on your profile (go to MyMumsnet).

That list wasn't all you, you know! And I forgot PIH!

AuldAlliance · 16/03/2009 09:43

Morning everyone,
Wishing you all a good week.
Boffin, my sympathies... You won't be in the wheelchair for long now. Soon you'll be pushing your baby around, rather than being pushed.
Kaz, glad to hear all is well, I hope you can get home as soon as possible and I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures.
Not much time to post, I need to get a bit of work done before heading off to DS's school to get him for lunch in half an hour. I walk there and back 4 times a day, must try and work out how far it is, to see if I walk a kilometre or more doing it.
Have MW appointment this afternoon and thought maybe it was time to visit the hospital, so am joining the guided tour an hour before my appt. Maybe that will bring home the reality a bit more: with everything else going on, I am finding it hard to realise that in a month our family will have another member!!
Happy Monday, ladies.

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 16/03/2009 09:48

Morning ladies!

What a lovely weekend we've had - nesting all day Sat, with DH installing shelves and hanging pictures and generally being Bob the BUilder...

Then yesterday we went out for a HUGE lunch with Dad - such lovely weather! - and sat in the sun watching the daffodills grow! It was deeeeeevine! I now have a bit of sunburn on my boobs... a much better look than white and veiny...

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 09:51

Minush - mat leave starts in 2 weeks (yay!!!) Enjoy the shopping!!

Kaz - so glad your LOs are doing well

Puzzle yay for DD sleeping through!

Trista - wow that is fantastic - look at you being all creative!!

Auld, I very rarely get up during the day so walking to and from school seems like great exercise!!

Kitty, why did you have your boobs out yesterday - getting a bit of bf practicing in??

BoffinMum · 16/03/2009 10:04

Hello all.

Drama at this end. Was up most of the night with niggling period-type pain and the odd contraction. Called midwife at breakfast time, and she came and checked me over - the head is now 4/5 engaged, or even more if I am standing up, I am 1cm dilated (normal for multigravidae apparently, but partly because of the head pressing down so much) and some of the infamous mucous plug came away on the mw's gloves. Cervix is still posterior and hasn't started moving down yet, but it's getting pretty soft. I think this baby might actually arrive sooner than his brothers did. That would be nice. I might even be able to beat BB. This filly is in the race!!

Extensive liaison with the boiler people required today - they are going to try to get all the work done on Wednesday and turn the hot water off as little as possible, just in case he comes this week ...

OddEyes · 16/03/2009 10:11

morning everyone!
just marking the thread! ds in nursey today so trying to finish up a few last things for school and marking more A2 coursework - can't get my brain round it at all so looks like an all day job rather than a few hours!
still here, no more contractions, but huge amounts of mucus plug coming away.
Scan on Sat was all very brisk and report is in the post so haven't been able to see what is happening. only know that she is 3.37Kg ~ 7lbs 4oz at 36wks.
I start eating curry etc from wednesday me thinks although still got lots of nesting to be done. wondering whether to employ someone to do a spring clean.
anyways - must get on...

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 16/03/2009 10:11

Ooooh Boff that's exciting!! Here's to babies coming when called...

BB - nothing as exciting as that, I'm afraid... although the mental image of me whipping out my norks for a practice BF at the posh golf club we were at IS rather appealing...

Will try to post pics on my profile so you can all see the bump... I keep getting strangers telling me how SMALL it is, but the MW says she's measuring big so I'm confused!! dodgy grannies and their dodgy comments...

Bleuravin · 16/03/2009 10:12

Morning all, I'll need to catch up later, but I'm just doing my Monday check-in before I run off and try to get things done before I lose all energy. Hope everyone had a decent weekend and enjoyed what sunshine they may have gotten.
Had my antenatal crash course on Saturday and feel pretty good about the labor thing (nothing I didn't really know except to expect regular contractions to be 3-5 per 10 minutes during estanblished labor) Saw the MW led unit and pleased to see it was very intimate (only 5 rooms and the birthing pool room).
Sprite has been acting a little differently lately. He hates it when I sit down and kicks my ribs and pushes against my cervix when I do...very uncomfortable... Also, and this I find a little strange...I feel him/her in my butt quite often. (Rather than pushing against my bladder where most ladies complain about being pushed- I get pushed on my backend which means that I have to have a poo (TMI?) at after each time s/he's very active.) Anyone else experience anything like this before? I find it a little disconcerting to say the least.
Also has anyone heard the idea that one needs to be walking at least a mile a day? I heard this and balked (needless to say) at the idea. I need a nap after walking up and down the stairs a couple of times...a mile and I'd have to curl up on the verge somewhere every 20 minutes or so... (because heaven knows there's no way I'm still walking a mile in 10 minutes...
Any way, I've really got to go though I'd love to chat and catch up with you all. (hopefully this evening) Have the best day you can and eat a piece of chocolate for me! hugs

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 16/03/2009 10:28

ok i think it's worked... let me know if you can see me!

surprisenumber3 · 16/03/2009 10:32

can't see yet Kitty....Will put a pic of my bump on, just for a short while!!!

Boff - how exciting! I posted yesterday about the contractions I had in the shower yesterday. They stopped and then came back again last night and then stopped again. Didn't sleep at all, felt so sick all night and have a pain in my upper back, under shoulderblade on the right side, I don't have any vital organs there do I??!!

Can feel hiccups in my bum today!!

Have got baby clothes blowing on the line and going to have a big sort out and pack my bag now me thinks!!

Brill about the LO's Kaz!

Right will attempt to put pic on...

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 10:35

Kitty it says you are not on a public page!!!

Boffin - I actually would love you to have your LO now as more than anyone you and Nutty need to have these babies out of you!!!

Oddeyes, get on the curry - I am all for everyone getting these things out!!

Bleu - a mile a day - seriously (my car is 10metres from my front door - will that do????) I am getting lots of pushes and prods and needing to go to poo more (sorry if TMI) but not loads! and really sore pains when I walk like the head is falling out (hee hee) but not in the bum area so don't know!!!

frekkles · 16/03/2009 10:40

hello ladies. me still poorly, pukey and sore tummy. not eaten anything substantial since thursday. Maybe this is the beginning of the baby weight removal? boyfriend and i were up arguing and talking till 2am, and have kind of reached a peace where we both realised that we've both been feeling like we're compromising for each other way more than in our past relationships. we're both very stubborn and used to wearing the trousers i think. feeling sad and bruised today. but we're not ignoring each other any more. wish i could go out and have some fun for me though. hate feeling ill.

woooooooooooo go boff, had a feeling that you were the filly to watch! all though odd eyes is warming up at the starting line too with her chilli cheat up her sleeve. I'd say oddeyes has the edge too with her "huge amounts" of mucus plug as opposed to your "some" . Need to up your training I say woman. Time to brake out the vigorous thrusting.

hello everyone else, there's so many of us now.

OOOh oooooh and a big thank you to auld, I got the nappies today! so kind of you, and such a cute little jumper too! I shall be using my sick time to try and research the whole nappy thing. thank you so much, so kind of you to think of me when you've so much worry yourself. Hope you have another lovely day with lillies, sunshine and fresh parmesan! And if you come back to edinburgh, I'll babysit for you!

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 10:43

Boff, How do you know when you start dilating?

frekkles · 16/03/2009 10:44

my belly dweller can make me fart and burp. sometimes simultaneously!

surprisenumber3 · 16/03/2009 10:47

okay, think I've got pics on!

Let's see some more bellies too!

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 10:47

Frekkles that is BEAUTIFUL!!!

AuldAlliance · 16/03/2009 10:52

Frekkles, I'm glad the parcel has arrived, I was starting to wonder. Hope the nappies are some use to you. I'll bear your babysitting offer in mind for my next holiday (takes out diary and starts planning wild times in Auld Reekie...!).

Bleu, I feel kicks in my bum, too, but luckily not with the effects you're having, just odd sensations feeling the baby so far back. It's calmed down a bit recently, he's more active in front now.

Boff, how dramatic....!! Fingers crossed he appears a little early to ease your suffering.

Love to all,
AA

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 16/03/2009 10:58

Ah surprise what a lovely bump!!! and such lovely boys too...

Is mine working now? (you'd never guess that I'm usually quite tech-savvy... brain is porridge today!)

Bleuravin · 16/03/2009 11:01

god I've tired myself out so much that I'm in tears... Pooh I'm never going to get things done at this rate... too many freaking stairs in my house... and typing while standing is no fun either I dare say I'm having a wobbly.
Perhaps I shall try catching up to calm down.

BabyBolat · 16/03/2009 11:01

Kitty OH MY GOD you are so neat and tidy and compact (not small as clearly the baby is fine!!) Why do I get the perfect bump buddy??!!!

surprisenumber3 · 16/03/2009 11:01

It's working Kitty, what a lovely pic, when was that taken - you look so radiant!

I had a dream recently that my MW told me we have to be pregnant for 140 weeks now, not 40....was actually a nightmare!!

Off to put little baby clothes on the line to dry....

Schulte · 16/03/2009 11:06

140 weeks!!! AAAAAAARGH!!!!

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 16/03/2009 11:07

BB - rofl... you're hysterical!! It's NOT a perfect bump at all - as clearly all the old ladies felt obliged to comment... ah well, at least I provided them with some entertainment!

Surprise - that was yesterday, before we had our massive lunch... four courses plus coffee, by the time we left even DH was waddling!!
