Hiya, am 7 weeks with dc no. 2 so due 17th Oct. Had MMC Oct 08 so fingers crossed all well this time

MrsPuddleduck · 26/02/2009 15:42

Feeling less sick now but cannot face a cup of tea . Can't wait for DH to come home and he can take over the potty training!

Treats · 26/02/2009 16:25

Crikey! 2nd thread!

Welcome TheBestMum - hope all goes well thi time.....

ballio · 26/02/2009 16:43

Hi, just found this oct thread! im 8 weeks, got scan booked for the 17th March cause dates say im 10 weeks but i have a 42 day cycle so know they will re-date me at the scan. I have DS who was 2 in Dec so its bit harder being pregnant this time round (tiredness and sickness with a toddler to chase around) but alls good!!

smallone · 26/02/2009 17:14

Welcome to newbies! Congratulations.

Yey, my mw just phoned, I've got my booking in on the 19th and my scan on the 24th, I'll be 10+3. Finally there is a benefit to living in a tiny town, they have a mobile scanning unit so have to fit everyone in between 10 and 12 wks on one day!

Don't think they try to listen for a heartbeat that early coz if they don't hear one it could stress you out that there is something wrong, when really its just that its too early, and they've got no way to prove otherwise. Most wait til after the scan.

MustGetSleep · 26/02/2009 17:38

I feel like hell!

I seem to recall the symptoms stopping thing is all about when the placenta takes over.

They don't normally listen before 12 weeks, and even then it is with a big warning of "don't panic if we can't find it".

I think I am going to have to tell my school friend soon despite DH not wanting too - she is starting to look at my denials seeing as she knew we were trying, and I am looking like I am struggling to stay upright at the morning school run

HumphreysCorner · 26/02/2009 17:51

Made my school mum friend's day when I told her being as though she knew how long we had been trying. She can support me if anything goes wrong.

The placenta takes over at 12 weeks so that is when the sickness stops-yeah right!

Still feeling blue this evening but have been out to buy a lovely dinner and a couple of trashy mags to read in the bath. I'm in by myself tonight which is a shame but saves poor DP having to put up with my hormones. Hopefully after a relaxing evening I'll feel better in the morning. On the plus side the nausea is back - irritating but reassuring .

theboob · 26/02/2009 19:01

just marking the thread, will be back on later when the troops are in bed x x x

littlepea72 · 26/02/2009 19:03

Hey...will have to add myself into the list, i keep meaning to but forget, im due on the 12 oct. Does anyone else get small stabbing pains low down, almost on the public bone? Been getting them off & on all day, not sure if i got them 1st time round as it was so long ago!

Idream i can go from being sad to being really grumpy, dont think my DH knows which one he is going to open the door to! He saids the hormones is just an excuse....men!

RubyBuckleberry · 26/02/2009 19:34

Hi all

loving the new thread name - i can't believe time is going so slowly... but i figure if it is all ok, it will all be ok without a scan so i will just have to wait.

i woke up this morning feeling surprisingly not sick and tired which lasted all of three minutes. it was amazing to feel normal again - i am beginning to forget what it feels like !!!

i feel sick on and off all day - or i feel hungry... i also am feeling a little more energetic although sometimes i really need to sit down!

i also sleep 10 hours a night.

great news all those with scans and heartbeats - your chances of it going wrong have plummeted!

idreamofbeanie sometimes i feel very blue for no apparent reason, and then i just cheer up for no apparent reason too!

xx

added you to the list littlepea but was not sure what number pregnancy it is for you

DevilsAdvocaat · 26/02/2009 19:55

hello, thanks for the new thread hc.
i have started feeling better in the mornings, as long as i have my two breakfasts i'm fine.

cazza, i have been eating lots of little bits like you

i'm fine until i get to the afternoon when i feel pooped, that seems to trigger my sick feeling. had to have two lie downs before dinner. however, as soon as i have dinner i feel fine again until i need to go to bed.

welcome newbies!

all you lot with our scans, great news! very jealous too. i can't wait to see my little one.

i am feeling so fat i'm tryng not to but my stomach is so bloated. i really can't do the buttons up on my skirt anymore, can't get into my trousers. i can wear them but the pressure around my tummy brings on the nausea. i need some maternity stuff.

does anyone else feel totally embarrassed by how pg they look? i can't believe it.

doggus · 26/02/2009 19:59

devilsadvocaat - I look enormous too and am only eight weeks. With my first I didn't show until at least 15 weeks. Just goes to show how slack my tummy muscles are (to be fair since the arrival of ds I have done little to no exercise).

DevilsAdvocaat · 26/02/2009 20:04

thanks doggus. my maternity clothes are too big from my last pg. am quite looking forward to getting some new clothes but am dreading anyone asking how far i am!

MustGetSleep · 26/02/2009 20:25

Far tmi, but I can't tell if I am starting to get a bump, or it is just from needing a decent poo since starting on iron

I get a head/neck ache thing that makes me feel really sick which tends to mean "sleep now".

@ being capable of one breakfast, let alone two! I have eaten more today than I have for the rest of the week (still not a lot though), and only been sick once first thing.

oops

HumphreysCorner · 26/02/2009 20:28

This is my 4th pregnancy but 3rd baby so my muscles must be shot. Will be taking another side profile pic for my album tonight. Saddo that I am I've taken pics of the PG test as well.

My fan oven has packed up again in the middle of cooking tea so got cross with DH as he promised to fix it properly when it broke just before Christmas. He thought the temporary repair would last and shouted at me so feel quite down now especially after potty training hell, DD1's dance class refusal hell and now the oven and feeling tired and nauseous.

OK, rant over.

evening ladies

great thread title HC

littlemissbliss i potty trained ds1 and dd at 2 1/2 with no problems, only reason i have started early this time is help from nursery and i will be bigger and more tired in the summer, i really wanted it done before october as i dont want him to resent the changes that are coming his way,a move to a big bed is on the cards soon too

this thread has moved fast today
welcome all newbies and of you all with scan dates,i bet you cant wait

i have had a bad day today re sickness,i really cant eat onions anymore , i have felt ill all day, i also fell asleep in a lesson today we were watching a video on homeopathic medicine and i nodded off and woke up with a jump, thank god my lecture understood going to have an early night tonight and hope i can keep up with this thread tomorrow

theboob · 26/02/2009 20:37

X- post HC,rant away

it is annoying when something breaks

i have kept my pg test with all my dc , not taken a pic since week 5 so will have to start again soon

hope you have a relaxing evening now HC x x

LittleMissBliss · 26/02/2009 20:39

Just bookmarking,

KKKaty- I had the midwife listen to the babies heart beat in my last pregnancy at 10 weeks with my booking in appointment but i was a size 8/10 then and not much meat on my tummy so easy for her to find it. I think they can only hear the heart beat earlier if there is very little fat between the dopla (sp) and whomb. Im a size 10/12 now with all my extra weight being in the middle so not sure if they'll be able to listen to it this time....fingers crossed.

MrsPuddleduck · 26/02/2009 20:50
