Still pregnant!!!

Went to bed about 1030 last night still with some contractions and feeling really tight but overnight the cxs pretty much stopped leaving that really pleasant period crampy sensation. Had to get up about 6 times for toilet too and not for wee!![lovely tmi emoticon]
Still, regardless of last nights outcome it does mean she will probably come of her own volition rather than me needing a c-section in a couple of weeks time.

Im getting all excited! My name keeps moving up the list well my due date is Sun but as of yet head not engaged? not sure whether that means she aint ready either way only got maximum of 2 weeks left of being preggers. I have loved every minute and can't wait to be a mum. Keep going in the nursery and smelling all the baby stuff

Can we have the birth stories on facebook, I want them all together so I can read them again (very lazy, I could just look through the threads!) and how bossy am I! Come on here now and again and demand people to post on face book.

dinky CONGRATULATIONS love your little ones comments about you needing a potty, actually need a wee myself now after reading that!

idbi Happy birthday. Hope you have a great day

I've just been on the phone to the labour ward, they've told me to go back this morning and I will be seen straight away. Yeah, right!! So going back there......fun!

littlesez I would post my birth story but I don't really remember it very clearly or in order of events and times etc, plus as we all know I have a tendency to concentrate on the negatives! but the important bit is my baby arrived safely and I am still in 1 piece apart from my latest bloody infection.
someone melt me down and re-build me !*

Morning all.

Congratulations to MrsY on the birth of your little girl

LLB sorry to hear you are going through that - sounds really rubbish and i hope you get it sorted today.

Milo put on some weight yesterday - onward thanks for the advice, i think i will ask for some advice in the feeding threads as i panicked a bit and have been giving him formula only in a bid to get him to put on as much weight as poss and am expressing here every three hours or so to keep it up. Will be glad to get him drinking my milk again and tbh it made me really sad to think that it was BM that made him lose weight in the first place.

Hope everyone is still hanging in there today and not losing the will to live! I know what its like when you are right at the end and the birth cant come quickly enough - you have my sympathies.

Made appt to register Milo's birth today but they couldnt do it till next Wednesday but thats another thing crossed off the list.

Am actually going to try and make the effort to get out today with DH and Milo - feel a bit stir crazy and need a good walk!

Morning all

Rosie I feel the same. I am feeling the need to get out and about so DH and I are going to walk into the city today. We woke up to loads of snow this morning though. And we can't decide on who gets to push the pram!

LBB- sorry you might have to go back in, you must be sick of the sight of that place, lets hope they sort you out!

And congrats to MrsY!

I'm probably being really over sensitive but someone I know has posted on one of my baby pic on FB saying 'Wow he's HUGE- good job you didn't have to push him out!'

He's not fucking huge and so what if I didn't have to push him out?!?! FUCK off.

Sorry, rant over

MS i know what you mean. When the surgeon pulled Milo out everyone remarked on his size and the usual its a whopper comments but were all really surprised that he was only 8lb 12 ozs (ha ha they were guessing 10lb and above) - he just looks bigger because hes chubby and i love chubby babies!Frankie doesnt look big at all just perfect and fgs he was only just under 8lbs anyway! Tell em to feck off, hes gorgeous!

LBB - hope you get sorted quickly today - sounds awful!

IDBI - birthday greetings!

MS - some people say the oddest things don't they....I'm loving looking at all the newborn pics - they look all cuddly and velvety < goes off to stroke babygros once again >

MS I remember people saying about how big ds1 was. Convo with one woman
Her "How old is your baby?"
Me "3 weeks"
"Wow, he's a big boy. How big was he at birth?"
"9lbs 10"
"C-sec?"
"no"
"fuckin' 'ell! And you're still walking?"

It can be annoying can't it, but they don't mean any harm.
Frankie does look big in that pic though, but better big than small.....

MS-Person probably thought they were being witty and amusing Arsehole, like the people who keep asking if it might be twins because my bump is sssooo big!!

OMG, I heard my downstairs neighbours having sex last night. They were really going for it! If I can hear them, they can hear us can't they

MS Just noticed, I'm the only one saying he does look big. Hope I'm not offending you or coming across as an arsehole ...

No LBB don't worry! It wasn't you! It was more the 'Good job you didn't have to push him out' comment that annoyed me more.

chilledmama · 12/02/2009 10:31

MS-Its the assumption that they know all about it that really pisses me off. I have to contend daily with really helpful comments about being breech...like I hadn't done any research when I was making my decision about section, delivery or birth.

MS tell them it would've been easy to push him out as your fanjo can shut like a mousetrap, it's that strong!

Hope you get sorted at the hospital LBB.

Nothing happening here.....

Congrats MrsY on arrival of babY: hope all went well. And Pluto - in case sleep deprived brain makes me forget to say this later - good luck for tomorrow; hope all goes well.

LBB - am so sorry to hear about your afterpains/uterus issues. Really hope the hospital sort you out really quickly and completely this morning - it sounds horrendous.

Chilled - good news that your body is warming up for the little one to come; awful that you're so tired still though. Is your DS better now? Hope so.

MS - ignore the idiots! Frankie is a lovely size and beautiful. Have lots of fun with the pram in the snow. I had millions of comments about how huge Danny would be - and he's not!(Have to admit am kind of disappointed he isnt chubbier as love chubby babies and all DS1's old stuff is swamping him at present - still, he will grow into it...)

Astarte - fingers crossed it all kicks off for you out of the blue.

Rosie - hope your blood pressure is coming down and great that Milo is improving and hope he's back on the breast soon.

IDBI - happy birthday. Sounds like the inlaws leaving is the perfect birthday present

DS2 decided to spend most of last night feeding and is as a consequence spending the whole morning sleeping - as DS1 barely slept at all the first few days am at rather a loss as to what to do with myself! Also suspect Danny is not a swaddlee baby as he spent most of last night in his swaddle complaining about it I think - maybe he'll grow into it. Thanks for all the commiserations on the tear but honestly, its not that bad (only pain relief have had for them is paracetemol so cant be too bad) and as I tore last time so badly, was all prepared to tear this time so have the lavendar oil and comfrey oil on the go to keep them clean and my valley cushion (pure heaven for painful undercarriages) arrives tomorrow... only thing am worried about is that despite loading up on fibre and prunes galore still havent done a poo yet... may need to invest in some of MS's laxatives...

IDBI happy birthday

P&T is here and all set up.... I love it but because of it i have done no housework so best get on now or I will be in trouble.....

Dinky-DS is fine now...he has been all the way through...he just gets coughs really easily so ends up puking a lot...nothing new in the chilled household. He had a great nights sleep which meant he was a pleasure to be around this morning!! I'm still tired but thats more to do with up and down to loo all night and heartburn as someones head and feet keep bouncing off my ribs.
Glad you only need paracetamol for tear, have fun with your valley cushion

Afternoon everyone. Still here. Had MW appointment this monrng & baby has got his hand up by his face which explains the horrid poking & prodding pains I've been getting in my cervix!

lbb poor old you! It's really not fair after everything else, is it?

Chilled and Rachrox I've been having on off contractions for a while now. They're really mild and start late afternoon and go on until I go to bed. With DS they just started and kept going so this is really irritating. I'm so ued to them now that I've just started ignorong them!

Afternoon all....

Hope you're ok lbb and dinky - dd has just started to wake up a bit come week 3. She's very windy so squawks for quite a while after her feeds which is no fun...

Feeling v. sleep deprived again. DD woke then DS woke just as I got off to sleep after her 2am ish feed. DD then tends to wake at about 5am for another feed and as DH goes off to work around 7am, I hardly have any time for a catch up after that...Ha..I took DS to the soft play session in the buggy (30 min walk) so it was my first attempt to get two of them out of the house for 8.45am after showering, breakfast dressing both of them....I'm sure I'll get used to it but it feels like an army drill !

Had a very lovely friend come and visit me for lunch - she brought lunch and then had to dash off but DD then decided to yell the place down (she can't stay awake too long) - so she's now back in bed for a while.

Nothing exciting happening here today otherwise - may go for another walk later - at least we get all get some fresh air.

I'm off to bed at 7pm with the children tonight...and I can't wait !

posted this on wrong thread............

aaron was born at 11.57 on 9/2/09, 8lbs 2 oz. he flew out and all went great (although mw pretty much missed the birth as she was out of the room when he decided to make a break for it and i was pushing out his shoulders when she came running in)

2 hours later he was admitted to the scbu for breathing difficulties, he got a face full of blood on the way out and aspirated on it so his lungs were full of fluid and he was puking blood.

i've just gotton home but he's still in scbu

have to get back to feed him and will be staying at my parents til he can come home as it's a bit closer to the hospital.

shattered and too tired (physically and emotionally) to give the full saga right now but hoping he'll be home at the weekend.

hope everyone else is having a better week
