Hmm, DS2 appears to be a feed all night (and I mean ALL night) and sleep most of the day baby... here's hoping that changes in the not too distant future. Still, the future is looking bright as managed to poo this morning with no pain, valley cushion has arrived and my milk is starting to come in (so hopefully the milk monster will finally be sated at some point).

America, THOM - with all the warming up, bet when you do go into labour its quick.

LBB - oh no, not another UTI. Hope the antibiotics clear it up for good for you.

Good point about KT, KazzaL - let's hope it's for all the right reasons!!!

Congratulations to QuestionKid and Pempe on their little ones. The "who's next" list is getting ever shorter!

Swampster - good to hear Jacob is doing well and hope it continues.

Well. it's Friday night curry night for me and DH - I want to try to evict this little man so any recommendations for a hot curry? I'm usually a mild bhiryani kind of girl so don't want to go full-on madras!

Had a weird moment today, walking home from dropping DD at nursery, waiting to cross a road when a couple in a car stopped and told me that a man in the house opposite was taking photos of me. Sure enough, there was a man at the window with a camera pointed toward me, but I'm not sure what to make of it. Made me feel a bit funny .

Had a lovely relaxing day with a sleep after lunch, now awaiting the return of DH and DD like an eager kid .

Take care everyone!

QK congrats on the arrival of Alexander George - sorry you guys had a traumatic time; hope its only onwards and upwards from here on in for you and your little man.

Pempe - congrats on the arrival of your little girl. Hope all went smoothly and things are settling down well at home for all of you.

Catstar - v odd thing that happened to you. Maybe the guy was some kind of model scout and thought you had the perfect pregnant woman model look I'd go for a medium strength curry if I were you and only used to really mild ones - make sure you get some raita to tone it down if it is too hot for you though!

Kaz Thanx re hiccups, interesting. I was thinking maybe I was feeding him too much, maybe?????
Pempe congraulations, hope everything is well
QK Congrats on the arrival of Alexander (love it!), sorry you had a traumatic time, glad you oth ok now though.
catstar How strange.......why would anyone want to take pictures of a perfect stranger? Did you get a good look at him? Recognise him? Are you gonna do anything about it?

I was back on the labour ward this morning. I got up at 7, got ds1 in front of tv with his milk, was feeding baby and that nasty pain came flooding back so was screaming head off again, dp got up, came crashing into living room, called the hospital and held the phone out so they could hear me and told them it just wasn't normal. They told him to get me there asap (he told them how I couldn't move and I told him to tell them how I've been losing more blood especially when having the waves of pains). Got there, went through the whole thing with another mw and dr, they took more urine and bloods. Bloods are showing that there is an infection somewhere in my body but they are unsure where. Feeling my stomach they said things shouldnt be bouncing around like they are after a normal delivery and it's either inflamed bladder irritating uterus or vice versa so now have AB's to treat both areas and anti-inflamitries(sp?) and stronger painkillers, but apart from that I have been told to grin and bear it.
My downstairs neighbour called to see what was going on because the screaming woke her .
Feeling ok at the mo, so hopefully the painkillers are working and all will improve.

Looking at the arrivals/who's next list, it looks like we're halfway there.....

Report
MamaGoose · 13/02/2009 21:20

Swamspster and MOS - the after-pains this time have been horrendous! Maybe it's just multiple pregnancies? They were bad after DS2 but this time they were even worse! They were like real contractions - I mean screeching, teeth nashing pain for about four days after the birth! I'm now on day 9 and having pains that feel like bloody period pains. I guess the uterus is working extra hard to get back to size.

And MOS so pleased your consultant didn't do that dodgy charge on you!

Congrats to Pempe!!

Now on day 9 and completely besotted with my gorgeous baby girl....

Evening all....just waiting for DD to wake up again so I can feed her and go to beeeeeeed - please let it be sooooon ! I'm hanging. DH has chosen to do night feeds tonight although he thinks he might have to get up only once . Last time he opted for the night feeds (after 1 week) he fed her at 1.15am and then when she screamed at about 4.45 he got up and came back after 5 mins - I commented on the quick feed and he said "oh I didn't feed her, I'll just leave her to cry".... ....I just had to remind him that she was under 6lbs in weight and p'raps might need a feed 3 hours after the last ?!?!?

Congrats to Pempe and QK
Weirdo bloke Catstar - that would freak me out.
lbb - sorry you're having a rough post delivery time - hope you get it sorted soon.

My wound seems to be a bit better after 3 days on anti-b's but I was inspecting it tonight (have to lift the overhang up to inspect ) - and there's a funny nobbly bit one end as if the surgeon has forgot to tuck a bit under - I really hope it either falls off or doesn't stick out - it's horrible....we'll see.

Right, have to dash, dd is finally waking from her slumber ! Yay I might make it to bed soon.

Nunight all.

I'm still here! Wow, it has really all been happening. Congratulations, so great to hear about all these wonderful babies and what a fantastic bunch of names as well. Feb babies are definitely the coolest. I will get on FB soon and catch up there too.

Really sorry about silence, last week at work was hectic, followed by insane house-cleaning, followed by a few days away (probably not wise when you're due in two weeks but it was bliss). I've whizzed through and not caught up properly so please excuse lack of personal congrats - but I am so pleased for everyone, and hope LBB, Rosie, QK and Swampster and everyone else who's having a rougher time of it will get through fine.

I don't expect anything to even start happening with me for at least another fortnight so I now have no excuse not to keep up and post more often.

hi all...bit poorly today but feel a bit better now! No sign of bub but I am convinced that I am encountering a 'Warm-up Labour' warm up labour
certainly sounds a lot more positive than false labour.

Hey all, just marking my place so I can keep an eye on things.

Congratulations to everyone who has had their baby, I can't believe how far through the list we are now! We've all gone for rather unique, nice names, no top tens amongst us, I think!

I said this before but thought I'd say again anyway. I've not been posting because I feel a little odd, everyone is either pregnant or has a newborn. Mine is six weeks and it feels like an age, I feel like I'm kind of out of the loop now.
