I love all the pros and cons! So far I seem to be ok health wise. Not as sore with SPD as I was last time, but MW confirmed for me yesterday that Baby Bump is lying transverse (IE side ways) which explains the low kicks/thumps and the ache under my ribs. It is uncomfortable mostly. But getting up and down, especially off the sofa or other soft seat, gets too much after a few goes! ANd I do get tired and ready for bed around 8pm!!! But the evenings DH is working late I feel obliged to stay up to see him even for a few mins!
Oh I can think of one perk that applies to me!!
17) DH calling me 'Slim'!!!!!
Is anyone else making grunting nosies when you go to bend over and pick something up!!!? And says a lot of 'Oh Dear'!!
I went to M&P shop yesterday and have put deposit on the Skate. There is an offer coming in March for the Skate system with car seat and stand, and I was able to avail of it because I won't be picking it up until April - so if anyone else is thinking of this pram system, ask about the MArch offer! I had a look and demo of the Ziko Herbie - very nice compact pram. But the only thing I didn't like about it was I was told that every time you fold the chassis down you need to take off the seat!
Momino - re your hip-ache. It does sound like your ligaments are stretching, and the giving way is probably not helped by your baby getting bigger. Sciatica is inflammation of the sciatic nerve that runs from your back, through your buttocks and down the legs, and in sever cases the pain terminates in the feet. It is like having toothache - it is hot and extrememly painful. Sometimes relief is not easily found as lying, sitting, standing all cause variations of the pain. You would be best to limit lifting if at all possible, and investing in a support belt for SPD may help by lifting the weight of the baby off your pelvis, and thus off the nerves. If the pain persists speak to your GP or MW. Paracetamol may not be enough to help with the pain, and I have been told by my GP that Co-Codamol (codeine & Paracteamol) can be taken in pregnancy - however you may want to seek your own advice about this and get it on prescription. Finally - plenty of rest!
