should have added...all the stretchy wraps have similar qualities...its just that the moby seems to be one of the cheapest with the biggest range of colours.
Woven wraps also fab but don't stretch as much therefore learning curve can be a bit bigger but because they don't really stretch they can be used for much longer e.g. feels more secure back carrying.

Hope you've had a lovely time at the meet up ladies.

KT - I can hardly walk to the local shop let alone a fitness DVD - are you crazy woman ????......pop your feet up and watch some crap telly. My weekend in the hospital has slowed me down so much I've managed to catch up on all my sky +'d rubbish and have turned a blind eye to the chaos around me...

oooggs · 19/01/2009 14:23

laidback - big field and vodka sounds ideal & 8 children sounds loads

mumoverseas · 19/01/2009 14:31

change of plan. Think I'll move to Devon for a vodka meet-up (and I have/will have 4 kids too) as opposed to cake in Norfolk! sorry MS!

KT1983 · 19/01/2009 14:37

Herb Yeah, I think your right, I do need to try the chilling out option. Its a bit weir for me though, as im such a on the go type person. I get all restless when im not doing something.
I really should make the most of the free time to relax while I can...Soon!!

KT1983 · 19/01/2009 14:39

Sorry Swampy about the Facebook thing - Im not even sure how to find he facebook group to be honest??
Whats it called?

KazzaL · 19/01/2009 14:52

Haven't been on for about a week, so please update me if anymore babies have arrived - I;ve also reached "full-term" today

laidback - say hello to your mum for me - my MIL who is coming to help man the fort flew to Thailand on friday for 10 days, so No2 better not arrive early.

I WANT to be sitting at home doing nothing - I have 13 more days in the office finishing friday 6th feb, and then due date is tues 10th. Work have said I can sit on a gym ball on my physio's rec to help with my SPD/PGP if I get a letter from my GP to cover their insurance, but it just seems like too much effort for 13 days.

We picked up our new boring zafira family wagon on saturday morning and then spent yesterday morning at the indep. baby shop near us trying to find an isofix car seat to go in it and also with seat belt in our astra which is slighlty too old for isofix. Not only was I frustrated to find out that there is no Group 123 isofix seats, but that there wasn't a 12 one that would fit in the astra with a seat belt as well. so it looks like even though the new zafira has isofix we're going to have to buy a non-isofix seat as there will be times when we need to use it in our astra - AAAARGH - I don't think I'm asking much, am I?

hope all the london ladies have had a super lunch, I've just had a bowl of frosties for lunch as it hurts too much to walk accross the road and buy somehting from waitrose and i dind't make any sandwiches

MamaGoose · 19/01/2009 15:02

Oh dear KazzaL - it sounds like a right pain in the arse.

dinkystinky · 19/01/2009 15:14

Hello all. Was nice seeing some of the ladies on the thread at lunch time today (Swampy, LBB, Catstar and THOM all have beautiful kids already who were surprisingly well behaved considering it was lunch/naptime!) but the cake selection really wasnt all that (some of Markstretch's sound nicer!)...

KazzaL - sorry to hear about your carseat dilemmas. I hope you manage to find a solution - maybe try larger store to see if they can help with a wider range to select from?

america · 19/01/2009 15:20

Oh non, seems like you London ladies are all on maternity leave already? Hope that you are having lovely time.

I would have loved to join you but am manning the office today. At least physically I'm here, my eyelids are closed though and I am positively sleeping... Four more days to go and I'm off too... I've been absolutely knackered for a few weeks already and it's not getting any better. KazzaL, I have no idea how you are copying! Are you really just taking off one week before your EDD? You are brave!

All nags are gone for the time being (touches wood) and baby is kicking away...

spottyshoes · 19/01/2009 15:31

I'm still waiting for character assasinations Dinky - you let me down last time after the curry meet-up by saying everyone was "very nice"

Did anyone fart at the dinner table? Buy 6 cakes? slap their DC's and buy them frooot shooots? Did they did they did they?

Now what time do you think Swampy will be back on line - she'll tell it as it was

spottyshoes · 19/01/2009 15:34

sling thread

Ordered my Moby the other day Lardy as it seemed to get the all round thumbs up.

PinkTulips · 19/01/2009 15:58

are they back from gorging on cake yet

haven't read through yet, just wanted to mark my spot in case i can't get to pc later.

been having mild cramps all day... not getting my hopes up too much but that said both my other labours started with this nonsense so might swig a bit more tea and see what happens

have been nesting in bizarre ways.... went on a houseplant maintenance rampage (have tonnes and tbf they badly needed tlc) and now feeling strong urges to tackle the playroom seeing as dp seems to have decided it doen't count as part of tidying downstairs when he 'helps' in the evenings so it looks like a bomb went off in santas workshop in there atm.

now... off to read through, or at least attempt it... jeez, i was about for ages yesterday and hardly anyone posted and as soon as i log off ye all go nuts!

pluto · 19/01/2009 16:01

Thinking of you all who had their cake AND ate it today at London meet up . Have just got in from collecting DS from school - and I wouldn't have made it back in time to do this if I'd journeyed up to South Bank. First day of mat leave and have celebrated by shopping for breast pads and big knickers (seven pairs for a fiver in M&S - bargain!)Can't wait to show DH

dinkystinky · 19/01/2009 16:25

America - not on mat leave yet (not till end of Jan) so skipped out on an early lunch to make the meet up. Sorry to hear you're so tired - not long to go....

Sorry Spotty, everyone was very nice again! Though MrsY and I were the only ones without "here's one I made earlier" little people to entertain there.....

spottyshoes · 19/01/2009 16:29

Gaaaahhh - where's the fun in everyone being so nice. No salacious gossip to be found.

america · 19/01/2009 16:35

Bugger, I could have done that too Dinky! I just didn't think about it.. gosh I'm so slow nowadays... Am having a snickers to make up for all the cakes I missed

america · 19/01/2009 16:38

This is not going well now... I try again.

Wanted to wish you good luck PinkTulips if you think this might be IT! When are you due again? Sit back and have a lovely cup and some cake while you still can!

dinkystinky · 19/01/2009 16:39

As I said earlier, the cakes werent all that (as DS and DH are cake connoisseurs we have very high cake standards in the Dinky household...) but lovely to meet everyone all the same, even though a graduation of very fresh faced students from my old university was going on at the RFH today which made me feel REALLY old.......

Roll on the summer when we can hopefully plan a mass meet up in a park somewhere (perhaps following Laidback's vodka theme...)

dinkystinky · 19/01/2009 16:40

Ooh, Pink missed your message about cramps earlier - best of luck if it is it! About time we had another bubs on the thread...

MarkStretch · 19/01/2009 16:46

Pink's having a baby, Pink's having a baby!

And Spotty- it's your birthday tomorrow! MORE CAKE!

PinkTulips · 19/01/2009 16:54

like i said... refusing to get my hopes up.

the way this preg has gone so far the little bugger will have to be dragged out in a months time!

idontbelieveit · 19/01/2009 16:55

Hello, glad you all had fun at the meet up am very.
I am 38 weeks today!!!!
Also suffering from huge swollen legs, fingers and face but BP ok so must be a late preggers thing.
Went for my ECV today and it failed. The lovely doctor tried for 25 minutes to turn baby but she was having none of it. It didn't cause her any distress though and it was very uncomfortable but not awful so i'm glad i tried.

Am booked in for a section next monday so will have a baby on the outside in 1 week aaaargh!!!! (unless things start by themselves before then of course)

idontbelieveit · 19/01/2009 16:57

am off to catch up with posts now.

PinkTulips · 19/01/2009 16:58

sorry the ecv didn't work IDBI.... but wow... a week until you're a mummy!!!!!!!!!
