Morning all. Am still up for meet up so for those making it am indian, shoulder length black hair (with more than the odd grey hair in there), huge bump, wearing turquoise jumper, black trousers, brown uggs and a blue duffel coat type item. Will prob get there around 12.30. Nkweto - sorry you wont be able to make it; hope DS, and you, get over that cold as quickly as humanly possible...
LMN and Rosie - you had such terrible night's sleep. Hope you both manage to get some naps in today during the day today.
Questionkid and Pempe- sorry you're suffering so. Do you have a support band (you could try in Mothercare for one or I think a couple of the ladies on the thread have bands they dont get on with/use which they may be willing to lend you) which may help if is mild SPD. Otherwise I think the advise is to avoid any positions where your legs are not in parallel (eg sitting cross legged). Give your midwife a call to see if there is anything that can be done at this stage - though at least the end is well in sight for you.
MoS - your post made me laugh, am most definitely NOT a domestic goddess. Homemade fish fingers are one of the limited repertoire of very simple dishes I can make and sadly the marshmallow tea is not as lovely as it sounds (is basically green sludge made out of the leafs and nowhere near as yummy as actual marshmallows - though does seem to be helping me cough up the crap residing in my chest this morning, so at least it seems to be doing something).
KT - I love that you've got so much energy but it sounds like your body is telling you to take it abit easier with the backache as you'll need to conserve some of your energy for labour. Hot water bottle against my lower back was good for lower back ache when I was pregnant with DS (I was like you and exercised like a loon till around 38 weeks last time round - needless to say am not doing it this time round with a toddler and job to contend with too) as was someone pressing quite hard on my sacrum. Hope it goes away soon. And the shooting pains down below - they're another one of those delightful pregnancy symptoms no one ever tells you about in advance....
Chilled - oh my god, I'd have throttled DH if he did that! Fortunately DH (like me) is about as DIY-inclined as a parrot with a screwdriver so likelihood of a similar event occurring in the Dinky household is pretty slim....
