LBB - of course meeting up is entirely dependent on how you (and everyone else, like Rosie, Swampy etc.) feel tomorrow - would be nice to meet up though as is lovely putting names to faces (as know from the curry evening). Hope little one(s) let(s) you get a good night's sleep and you feel up to it. Perhaps everyone who is going to make the meet up could post tomorrow to say what they're wearing (as may make it slightly easier to identify the correct pregnant women....)

Am in shock - DS actually ate my lovingly prepared home food. Hoping the shock doesnt send me into early labour (fat chance...)

littleboyblue · 18/01/2009 18:07

Good idea dinky. Will be on early morning to say a def if going or not

MarkStretch · 18/01/2009 18:21

I was just browsing the internet and found a picture of Swampy in her nursing bra

dinkystinky · 18/01/2009 18:22

Ps Rosie - get those rings off your fingers asap (dont want the hospital cutting them off) if you're starting to swell. We were all lying with our legs up the wall in pregnancy yoga today - good for reducing feet/leg swelling apparently - so may be worth a go if the lack of ankles begins to irritate you (personally, as I long ago ceased to be able to see my feet under my bump, I'm now ignoring everything below my waist until I can see it again...)

dinkystinky · 18/01/2009 18:23

Markstretch- the picture was obviously too much for my server; it wont let me see it!

littleboyblue · 18/01/2009 18:23

Me either

herbgarden · 18/01/2009 18:25

Sorry rosie you landed up at DAU too....wish I'd taken a book with me but it amazes me how much time you can spend sitting around doing nothing.

Yay Dinky for DS eating your food. Maybe he's decided to turn a corner just when you need it the most eh.

Am looking forward to a lovely home cooked meal and my own bed tonighty !....DS and DH are currently splashing around in the bath above me being very very loud but he's had a lovely time at grannies so hopefully he'll sleep like a log. He's off to nursery tomorrow and Tuesday so I'm going to try to not do too much.

I do have to go and speak to some woman about a bridesmaid dress tomorrow though - my poor sister is on her mission to organise her wedding for July and my head is completely in no 2 baby cloud- apparently I have to take a dress which fitted me pre - DS and they should be able to take it from there - no pressure then to get back to pre-preg size then in 4 months

MarkStretch · 18/01/2009 18:26

Oh there is another!

littleboyblue · 18/01/2009 18:27

Hahaha MS

herbgarden · 18/01/2009 18:27

dinky my notes re my c-section tell me that they'll tape up your rings as I reckon this is probably a problem generally. Rosie - have you checked your notes ??

chilledmama · 18/01/2009 18:33

I think I took my rings off about the week before I had DS as a precaution against any swelling. Its not a case of hospital wanting to cut them off but if you swell up loads you might need them removed...better lose your rings than your fingers!!

PinkTulips · 18/01/2009 18:34

i wanna come to the meet up! [sulk]

cumin tea hasn't done anything yet... unless it's that that's made the bump all hard and uncomfortable but i'd imagine kung fu panda has managed that all by himself.

getting so weird and restless the last few days though, think i'm driving dp mad

need to have this baby in the next 24 hours or i can't until after dd's birthday as if the baby interferes with me baking her her pink cake there'll be ructions!

dinky... must be something in the air... dd actually scraped the scrambled eggs off her plate just now..... usually dinner involves an hour of me sitting there coercing every bite into her until i give up when she's had about a quarter of it.

dinkystinky · 18/01/2009 18:35

Markstretch

Herb - hope you get a brilliant night's sleep in your own bed tonight. We got warned about it when doing the labour ward tour at St Marys so perhaps policies differ from hospital to hospital.

dinkystinky · 18/01/2009 18:37

Hurray for your DD eating her tea too Pinktulips! Must be something in the air - not expecting it to last though

PinkTulips · 18/01/2009 18:45

lol... that would be wishful thinking!

she's having a day of it though... scraped her bowl of porridge clean this morning, flew through loads of apples and flapjacks (as well as some sweets i shared with them ) and now cleared her dinner plate.

might not sound like much but for dd that's about 3/4 days worth of food!

spottyshoes · 18/01/2009 18:49

MS I think she is staying for a few days though otherwise i'd bug her for a lift. Although I do have a car of my own and Norwich is only an hour from my mum's house

LBB - just to make you feels better, can I also ask a stupid question - what does DAU stand for? I get what it is, just not what it stands for (something assessment Unit - Day?)

Love the bra pics

Just came on to share my fab find. I know alot of you hate nappy talk but I just got 14 packs of flushable liners, 13 patterned wraps and 12 toddler prefolds for £42 from a lady selling them all sealed in packs brand new on ebay! I wonder how long 2800 liners will last me

spottyshoes · 18/01/2009 18:50

And I bought a Moby Wrap yesterday . I feel all babyfied finally!

dinkystinky · 18/01/2009 18:57

Spotty - DAU is Day Assessment Unit (the antenatal bit only open for office-y type hours).

Congrats on your ebay bargain

herbgarden · 18/01/2009 19:18

aha - I must admit despite the notes I have been tempted to take mine off and leave them at home. They are getting a bit tight now and it takes a bit of soap and wriggling to get them off.....maybe sooner rather than later eh.

rosieposey · 18/01/2009 19:27

Right rings off dinky Have noticed this evening how swollen my legs are too, sorry to sound paranoid but thats fairly normal isnt it? i only remember it at the end of my preg with DD1 and they ended up inducing me for late onset GD and PE which happened at about 37ish weeks ... its 16 years ago so cant remember exactly. You can push in on my shin and it goes in and doesnt come out for ages and its like that all the way up my leg, i know odema is really common in pregnancy but feel a bit as was whacked on the bp tabs last week, had trace of protein in wee yesterday ect ect, d'ya think i should give DAU a call again tomorrow about the swelling or do you think im making a whole lot a fuss about nuffin and should come and eat cake in London

swampster · 18/01/2009 19:29

Come eat cake!

My normally long skinny feet look short and fat - very odd.

dinkystinky · 18/01/2009 19:31

To be honest Rosie, I think swelling is a late pregnancy thing most people go through regardless of when baby is due (DS was an April baby and I had the fingers and legs swelling thing from around 35 weeks then - have been religiously checking my fingers for swelling for the past couple of weeks). You can try massaging your ankles (or even better, getting your DH to) and that might help reduce the swelling or elevating legs (either straight up the wall or just higher than your hips while chilling out on the sofa) might help too. You are under very careful observation with the blood pressure and the diabetes, so hopefully you do have a number to call if you're really worried by it - if the swelling does seem rather excessive (.i.e. tonnes worse than you remember from last time, you cant get your shoes on etc) then i agree you should probably call DAU to make sure everything is ok; if not, come eat cake

MrsY · 18/01/2009 19:35

Evening all -

I'm hoping to come to the meet-up tomorrow, but will see how I sleep tonight; if it's anything like last night, I'll stuggle leaving the bedroom let alone the house....

MrsY · 18/01/2009 19:38

Speaking of swellings, has anyone noticed their (facial!) lips swelling? I'm sure mine have as they look quite puffy, and my top lip has split. I think it might be dehydration as I'm trying to limit my liquid intake after 8pm, so I don't pee all night!

thehouseofmirth · 18/01/2009 19:39

Evening all! Busy weekend here so no chance to stay on top of all your chat but thought I'd better look in to see who's coming tomorrow before all you light-weights drift off to bed!

Dinky, Facebook is claiming it is doing routine maintenance on my account. Could you please text me your mobile number as I didn't write it down before and I don't know if I'll have a chance to go back in once it's sorted itself out.

Is it just going to be me, Dinky and Swampy? Come on everyone else, pleeeeeease don't leave me alone with them!
