My dh would be on formal consultation procedures by now eekayjay if we're talking performance appraisals with dismissal by no later than christmas and a very non-committal reference on departure...........

KT1983 · 05/12/2008 13:29

eejaykay - We are moving on the 2nd Jan. Not long now really. Im really looking forward to living in a house with a garden - Never was able to afford anything big enough in London with a garden or more than one bedroom for that matter

I have just been on the phone to my new docs trying to get registration sorted etc....They can register me until I move as they need to INTERVIEW me???? WTF???

Anyway - I ended up telling them that il be 35weeks pregnant when I move, so I need it sorted as soon as im in. So they transfered me over to the Midwife - Who was a bloke!
There arent many male midwifes in this country I dont think? But he was really helpful and lovely & booked me in two days after I move in, which is a great load off my mind.

KT1983 · 05/12/2008 13:29

Sorry was mant to say cant register me....

nkweto · 05/12/2008 13:48

ooogs, yes snap.. 30th of Jan.. I would say 'race you' but I went two weeks overdue last time, so am pretty sure you will win LOL.

DS1 is 22 months at the moment.. so will be pretty much 2 when LO2 arrives.. do you have a DS and twins ? or did I read that incorrectly ? How old are they ? I had my waters broken 20 hours into labour.. so still have the fear of what to do if your waters break, in the office, on a bus/tube /taxi etc.. it is my main pregnancy fear!

Questionkid · 05/12/2008 13:49

Am also amazed at how quickly time is going. I'm not worrying too much about getting prepared for the baby. I know that sounds silly, but I'm leaving it with fate and have decided to do nothing until after Xmas. Then I'll start washing the clothes, setting things up and getting my bag ready. I'm too focussed on getting work done and dusted (still so excited about how little time there is left!) and Xmas out the way.

I just had a yummy toasted ciabatta with mozarella and fresh tomato for lunch. It was good.

Am I the only saddo who's looking forward to watching the final of I'm a Celebrity tonight?

storkycake · 05/12/2008 14:03

I'm resigned to lurking as well I think.

Saw an Osteopath today who has temporarily sorted my spd to the point where I can walk, see him again next week.

I'm hoping these last few weeks speed up a bit. It feels like I've been 29-30 weeks for bloody ages!

catstar · 05/12/2008 14:12

Hello Ladies - not been on for a while and haven't a hope in catching up with everyone's news, so apologies! I just hope you are all as well as can be expected, under the circumstances .

Eejaykay - very good timing regarding your DH comments. I'm having a bit of a nightmare at the moment so feeling very sorry for myself. Nothing serious and baby's fine so shouldn't moan. We are having our kitchen done at the moment so have absolutely no cooking or laundry facilities. I have got the worst cold I've ever had and Little O was sent home from nursery not well too so I have been looking after her confined to two rooms upstairs (washing up in bathroom sink). Got so fed up I have dosed her up with Nurofen and sent her back to nursery today and I am in work because things are stupidly busy and I was being moaned at to do some work from home (which I can't do because the builders keep having to turn off the power).

DH is planning to go to Wales mountain biking tomorrrow, but I just don't think I can spend the day on my own with O in this state (me and house!). He can't see this and is acting like I am asking him the world to cancel his trip. He has said that he will help me take all the washing to the laundrette on Sunday, so I suppose I should be grateful . Grrrr - I know the kitchen will be lovely when it's done so am trying to grin and bear it. It feels good to have a moan on here. I know there are a lot more serious things in life so will get over it!!!

Once again I wish I lived near to friends/family who could help me out every once in a while ...

What's worse is that I have suddenly gone off tea - and for me, a cup of tea has always made everything alright again!

Well that post was all me, me, me, so sorry . But it feels good to think about me once in a while!

Hope you all have a better weekend than I'll be having!!!

lardybump · 05/12/2008 14:27

Hello everyone. Sorry you are all feeling crap. I for once am feeling really well today (sorry not rubbing it in)!!! I can make a london meet up, I will have dd with me if that is ok with you all....

MarkStretch · 05/12/2008 14:29

Just back from the midwife and the little monkey has turned himself breech.

So that's what has been sticking in my ribs! He's got 5 weeks to turn himself or it's another CS for me.

lardybump · 05/12/2008 14:36

oh no MS it is on all fours for you tonight then....

MarkStretch · 05/12/2008 14:38

Yup lardy. DH will love that! [hgrin]

And of course, watching the final of I'm a celebrity! QK, I'm actually excited about it!

MarkStretch · 05/12/2008 14:38

Oh bugger I meant

lardybump · 05/12/2008 14:43

Just make sure you stay away from those brussel sprouts... poo wee

mumoverseas · 05/12/2008 15:37

hi all, back from my second (different!) hospital visit today. Only there 3 bloody hours! I'm sure its a scan to make you pay more car parking fees! Its official, I have to stick a sodding needle in my belly every day until LO emerges, so around 8/9 weeks of self-harming. The midwife watched me do it myself and I was pathetic, kept whimpering!

QK and MS, I'm with you, will be watching the final tonight. Never really had a chance to watch these sort of programs in Saudi so its nice to be able to catch up here. One thing I don't understand is why that arse of a has been singer was still in it until last night? What is that about?
MS, hope your little one turns soon.
to all you ladies with lazy DH's, maybe mention that someone on hear is a divorce lawyer and had mentioned some examples of grounds for divorce on unreasonable behaviour? Worth a go.

Questionkid · 05/12/2008 15:59

Oh good, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who watches rubbish tv programmes. And yes, I too am a bit excited about it. DH is working nights tonight so my plan is to get into my PJs soon as I get home, cook something yummy but quick and easy for dinner, sprawl on the entire sofa and watch rubbish tv, and then sleep in the middle of my king size bed (with memory foam) all by myself until 7.30 tomorrow when he returns and starts snoring. I've been telling him all day how much I'm going to miss him (he's on nights tonight, tomorrow and Sunday) but actually I'm secretly loving all the space I'm going to have to sprawl!!

Questionkid · 05/12/2008 16:03

Meant to say, MOS, for having to inject yourself in the tummy. The only thing I can say is, perhaps after a few times of doing it you'll get used to it?

MarkStretch · 05/12/2008 16:24

Ha QK, that was exactly what I did last night, I didn't have to fight for the remote, I ate what I liked and had the whole bed to myself!

MarkStretch · 05/12/2008 16:25

Sorry to hear that your fears were confirmed MOS, injecting yourself must be tough

Questionkid · 05/12/2008 17:08

I do find there are definite benefits to having a DH who does shift work. Not quite so sure I'll be saying that when the baby comes and I've got to deal with him all by myself all night!

Anyone else got a wonky bump? This baby is most definitely lying much more to my left as my bump leans over that way. I had noticed but didn't think anyone else would, and then someone at work pointed it out today!

onwardandoutward · 05/12/2008 17:27

What is all this about breech babies and head down babies? Mine is still doing somersaults on a regular basis - I don't think I'd even bother to ask my midwife which way around he/she is, since the answer would only be valid for an hour or two maximum. [not which way round the midwife is, which way round the baby is, sillies]

Will TBM still be with us tomorrow? Because if so, she's got to 32 weeks. How bloody cool is that?

I just got a big pat on the back at work - one of those honour and glory award things where everyone says "gosh well done you". Am basking in the glory and not getting on with any work, which kind of negates the purpose somewhat

chilledmama · 05/12/2008 17:33

bloomin' heck...I miss a day and you all run off to a new thread without me!!
Thankyou for pointing out my blondness of not noticing the month and year or the next meet up...what a numpty!!

littleboyblue · 05/12/2008 17:38

I have been on strike today! Went back to bed at about 11am and didn't get up til 4!! It's been the best day I've had in years.
I'd love a nice big glass of wine. Might send dp back to shop or wait for tomorrow and have one while X-Factor's on.

oooggs Sorry you're feeling so shit. Hope you're better soon. X

ekj very good idea about job descriptions for the men, but I tell mine to pull his bloody finger out at least once a week! I'm sure he mumbles something about hormones under his breath!
Why is it so hard to get anyone to take you seriously when you're pg?

KT A 'applied' to become a patient with my last doctors and had to be interviewed. Must have something to do with the fact they have to pay each time they reffer you to hospital so they want to make sure you're never gonna get sick?

catstar Does not sound good. On the positive side, at least you have a good excuse to have kfc for dinner everynight.

MoS How awful. You'll be alright though.

QK My dp's working nights from tomorrow as weel, and I can't wait
The thing that's the worst about the shift work (dp does 2 wks days, 1 wk nights) is that when they're trying to sleep in the day, you're in the next room with a baby that is not quiet. Dp seems to think I should be able to keep our 16mo quiet The fool.

Just have to say, I will not be watching I'm a Celebrity. Not sure what we will watch, but we haven't seen any of the jungle.

littleboyblue · 05/12/2008 18:27
