I'm going to ring to see a chiropractor/osteopath tomorrow, see if they can help me.

Any tips? How much does it usually cost?

I think I saw one with dc2 and it was about £40 per session.

Or was that the acupuncturist ? can't remember....

Morning - I think.

Kay, dog is cute, but seriously a puppy and a new born, and a toddler? You are very brave! Hate to put a downer on it, but don't rush in, the puppy will be almost the same amount of work as a newborn, (with toilet training and night wakings and walks to be had no matter what is going on with the baby etc., hours and hours and weeks and weeks and months and months of training.....) Very brave indeed!

DS1 woke up as DH came in the door, looking and feeling much better, he ate some cereal (of all things) and perked up even more, still took him to the docs though, which was a good job, he still had a high temp. GP gave us calpol and AB's to get him sorted out. He couldn't say for sure what was wrong without bloods, but by the time the results would have come back DS1 would have been ill for too long, so he just did the AB's, hopefully he is over the worst of it now anyway, and if not at least the AB's should help against him going back to school and picking the very next thing up. Am just glad he ate something TBH.

Speaking of bugs, I'm poorly, again, I don't know what the bloody hell is going on at the moment but I've had enough! I don't think I have ever had such a run of it. I actually don't know if I have a cold coming (no cold symptoms) or if it is the swelling in general, but my throat feels like it is about to just close up, everything in there is so sore and swollen, am sucking on ice cubes and glugging cold drinks but nothing seems to be working.

And I am awake because of the weather, or rather next doors scaffolding, the wind is really really bad and it is whistling, farking whistling, whoooooooo oooooooooo oooooooooo all frigging night.

Am not a happy bunny. At all. Can you tell?

kayzisexpecting · 04/12/2008 08:13

Morning,

I think I might be a little bit ill. I am quite dizzy and finding it a bit hard to walk around without walking into stuff. But it seems to be coming and going.
So I am going to brave all the snow(loads and loads and still falling) and still go to the MW.

Nat, the puppy we want is toilet trained(cheating see) but we might give this one a miss. I really want him but DH has said that we don't know the real reason they are giving him up. It may be that they can't afford him and the baby or he could have problems that they just wont tell us.

For the first time in about 2 weeks I don't want him to be born today. If I have got Vertigo again, I don't know how I would cope with labour too. I'm a little scared its something else but I don't know what.

Nat, Glad DS is on the mend. Sorry you are ill again.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 04/12/2008 08:20

Morning Kay

Sorry for dizzyness, it could be as simple as low BP if he is sat on a major nerve or something, obviously tell your MW when you see her, but try not to worry. I don't really know the ins and outs of vertigo, but didn't you say it made you sick last time you had it? Is it the sort of thing you get again?

kayzisexpecting · 04/12/2008 08:30

It did make me sick but mum had it last week and she wasn't sick once so I think you must be able to get it in varying strength. You can get it again, the GP said that some people reckon they have it all their lives and they are always after tablets.

It is exactly 2 years to the day I had it last time. That is freaky I think.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 04/12/2008 08:35

Ahh, maybe it is just playing on your mind then? Have you eaten/had a drink? Any better?

largeginandtonic · 04/12/2008 08:35

Sorry to hear you are feeling crap NJ and Kay I wake up feeling rough some mornings but it has gone by late morning so i presume it is just pregnancy related yukness.

Nat any more show?

The girl went back to back last night for the first time, it was so horrid. I had backache and felt all wrong. Think she has moved now though. My norks have also gone ballistik, i have that overwhelming urge to feed a baby, you know the let down fizzy feeling?!

Am so busy today, all the children have something going on. Discos and plays this eveneing too. It is raining alot too [grrrrr]

Sorky have been taking note from your list. I think i managed a towel and some ground sheeting for my previous births. I am borrowing a pool from a friend but wondering if it is worth it. I am not sure it would fill in time!

Must dash, back later

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 04/12/2008 08:41

Morning LG&T, well I woke up some time before 1.40 this morning and felt rough since, TBH my throat isn't as bad now with the ice, but as soon as the ice melts I am back to almost gasping for enough room to get air down my throat. Also have a bit of a high temp methinks, am all shivery, but then it is freezing! Had a little bit of gloop this morning, just literally a teeny tiny bit though, bit of pressure in bum so am wondering if he is burrowing down a bit.

Sorry for your back ache/norks, does a bit of hand expressing help? I've one it a few times, just gives that slight relief.

kayzisexpecting · 04/12/2008 08:41

I didn't think about it until I felt dizzy Nat. Then I realised it is a friends birthday tomorrow and we had to cancel because I was ill.

Not had anything to eat yet, DH is making me some toast.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 04/12/2008 08:44

Morning,
Ahh puppy sounds cute but agree with Nat, would be hard work...

I've had that vertigo thing, turned out to be ear infection labrynth something and it truely is AWFUL... hope you arent feeling too bad Kay...

Another day of hobbling for me. Missed my yoga last night and Im strapped up with a belt thing and a bump support. Will be trying to see an osteo tomorrow....

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 04/12/2008 08:45

Hope the toast get's it sorted out

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 04/12/2008 08:56

Morning LGin..

hoppe the weird norks sort themselves out!

Nat- sorry to hear you are poorly now... is DS any better?

Think we need a sick wing for the wagon... and maybe a pre labour suite..

kayzisexpecting · 04/12/2008 08:58

I have had a thought Nat on names!!

Call him Ringo!!! Then have 2 more called Paul and John!! HEHEHE

We have decided on Dylan George Theo or should it be Dylan Theo George?

Cosmogirl · 04/12/2008 09:00

Morning,

We sound like a lot of ill wagoners this morning. I'm nauseous again (but that is all day everyday so nothing new there)....still sucks though. Take it easy - nearly weekend time

Diege · 04/12/2008 09:02

Morning! Sorry for everyone's sickness - sounds truly awful . I am feeling very anxious about next week's scan (have had horrendous dreams) and am just trying to push that fact that I am pregnant to the back of my mind at the moment. I know it sounds mad,but I can't see beyond next week, so if I'm a little quiet these next few days it's just because of the crazy way my mind is working . I'm still here, but just sitting on the sidelines for a few days until I am told that I am still pregnant! Of course I will dash straight back in as soon as any labour news hits! Love to all xxx

largeginandtonic · 04/12/2008 09:22

Diege my sweet all will be well, i feel it inmy bones Do whatever you need to do to get through the week it must be so stressful.

Cosmo the all day sick is yuk, i remember it well. Just keep in your head it will pass, it will pass. Hopefully in time to feel great for Xmas day scoffing

GYO has it sunk in you are realy having a baby yet Tis only just dawning on me! I know i have done it all before (a few times) but as she was such a asurprise i have been a bit most of the way through.

The school run killed me, honestly i move at a ridiculously slow pace. The 3 year old overtakes me and the baby starts looking backwards out his buggy at me as if to say "get a move on mum!" The rest of them just laugh. How the hell i will get ther in 6 weeks time i have no idea! I am thinking i get in the buggy and the other 6 can push me?!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 04/12/2008 09:34

Hoorah for xmas smilies

Diege, perfectly normal and more than understandable, as LG&T says, you do what it takes to get through the next few days, it's all you can do. FWIW, her bones are quite good at this business, so I've heard!

Cosmo, sorry for nausea still, not had an easy time of it have you?

GYo, yes thanks he is almost fighting fit this morning, he's eaten his cereal, still coughing his brains out everytime he moves but other than that almost back to normal, we even had a mouthful of back chat from him (he want's to go to school, even if I'd have let him, it's shut so he had a paddy)

Poor DH left here at 6.30 this morning, managed to slide down the road backwards to get out of our street, has just made it to where he picks up his parts he needs for his jobs today, it normally takes him less than 15 minutes to get there, today, 3 hours!

It is so silly here, we have a school opposite that is shut today because of the road, the bus can't get up here, because of the road, you'd think they'd grit it, or at least plough it, they know everytime it puts more than an inch down we're all pretty much stranded or left risking life and limb to get out!

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 04/12/2008 09:50

sorkycake · 04/12/2008 09:54

LG&T I have seriously looked at my new P&T and wondered if the kids could push if it came to it. I have started to leak colostrum. Feels a bit weird to b'feed again (but a different child) within a year.

Sorry for all those who feel sick, the whole wagon is like an antenatal hospital wing atm. Prolly 'cos we're all at different stages in pg I suppose.

Nat I spat my tea onto my laptop when I read this and my laughing set off fecking BH
"And I am awake because of the weather, or rather next doors scaffolding, the wind is really really bad and it is whistling, farking whistling, whoooooooo oooooooooo oooooooooo all frigging night."

Sorry but that reads p*ss funny!!

Gyo I have managed to get a Chiro/Osteo appt for tomorrow morning. I'm prolly very optimistic, but hoping to come out walking!!
But just in case Dh is going to the Physio to pick up crutches for me.

We have tons of snow here, it's starting to feel all Christmassy .

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 04/12/2008 09:57

but kay....... its the 4th!!!! I HAVE TO BE RIGHT!!!!!! get that boy out today lady!!!!!

largeginandtonic · 04/12/2008 09:57

I hate driving in the snow, i have a bit of a phobia about it When i was at Uni i drove to see my brother and as i turned in to his street i started sliding towards the pavement. The car locked and i could do nothing, it cluncked in to the kerb and buckled my wheel arch

Then i was going to see my ex brother once and had to negotiate winding roads and they were all icy. I found myself drifting back towards the main road down a steep hill i managed to stop the car. I got out and knocked on various peoples doors till i found a symapthetic man to come and move the car for me as i was too afraid!!! He was very nice but was probably lol at me... I turned round and went home!

I avoid it now

Tink i have a wispa in the cupboard downstairs....

Nat poor ds, have you started dosing him up with tonics and multivits? It will perk him up and keep the bugs at bay, tbh you could do with some yourself!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 04/12/2008 09:58

Morning Tink, hoorah for choclate run

Sorry about laptop Sorky Good going for the appt. hope it helps.

sorkycake · 04/12/2008 09:58

ooh I'm slow posting today, have had to oversee advent calendars in between.

Hope ds feels better Nat, and you too obviously.

Diege, perfectly understandable....I had noticed you weren't around, then I did think you'd be getting close to your scan date and well....ya know
Everything is going to be fine. I feel it in Gin's bones

Has anyone heard from LBOT?

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/12/2008 09:59

Morning all,

Sorry everyone seems to be suffering with bugs/colds, I spose its that time of the year again.

Kay - I wouldn't get a puppy right now. Even if its toilet trained moving into your place could make it regress so its not foolproof. Plus they have so much energy and crave attention just when u are going to be feeling at your worst. I have wanted a puppy for years (grew up with dogs) and as I will be at home next year then it seems a perfect time to get one but I know that for now a baby will be hard enough work!

Sorky - Our osteopath costs £32 a session (think initial consultation may be slightly more). My gp thoroughly recommend the osteo last night, so that is what I will be doing. He basically said I could refer you for physio but it will be a waste of your time, all he will do is show you a couple of exercises and send you on your way, its not like the old days where they actually used to treat you! So basically he just confirmed what you and Kay said yesterday. He also said that I would probably find the brace a waste of time. It would have given me support when it started but now he reckons it wouldn't do much good at all as the pain is quite advanced. I must admit he was very thorough and did a good physical exam, ruling out scatica (sp) and confirming pelvic girdle pain/SPD as the cause. So off to the osteopath I think, if he sorts me out a bit then maybe a brace would then help keep me in place.

Cosmo - yay, come to the southern meet up!!

Hi everyone else

Playingthe9monthwait · 04/12/2008 10:00

X - posts with loads of you!! No snow here of course
