OK, it's way too early to test yet, and I'm probably tempting fate here, but I've got classic morning sickness, the dates are just about right, and I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant. And I've always wanted to start one of these due in threads .

And if the blue line winks at me in 10 days time, then I'll come clean and post under my real nickname.

Any one else?

Also how easy should i be taking it,ie exercise etc..I play football but last week I was really knackard,do you think it is best to wait until im 3 months gone?
How many weeks pregnant am i

dramaqueen72 · 21/04/2005 16:56

Thankyou kate! thats nice of you.

Melanie75 · 21/04/2005 17:03

Hi everyone,

well tomorrow is the day I feel ive been waiting a lifetime for!!! After, 16 days of brown discharge/occasional red blood spotting, I have the early scan tomorrow. All this stress already, and Im only just 6 weeks!

Really worried about tomorrow, not sure what the outcome will be. In my last pgncy I never had much spotting or discharge. The weird thing is, with this one I still feel sick in the evenings, and have the achy boobs so I really feel im pg. But what is going on with my body!!!

I really hope I get some conclusive answers tomorrow either way. Pregnancy should be such a happy time, but arent the first 12 weeks just so worrying!!!

Think I just had to get his off my chest.......

ChaCha · 21/04/2005 17:36

Hi Drama, just read your post, am not sure how much the private scan is, he send me a bill after so many consultations so am yet unsure. I hope i don't faint when i open the letter this time. Will let you know
After my booking appt a week today, i have one more scan with him scheduled which should be at 10+weeks. I might not see him again after that.

dramaqueen72 · 21/04/2005 17:58

melanie (great name btw...mine too ) I'm really sorry to hear of all your worry. awful, its no consolation i'm sure but i have had two missed m/c with absolutely no spotting or discharge, and know many people who have had spotting etc and gone on to be fine, so there is no 'rules' with it, iyswim. i hope alls well tomorrow for you. make sure you come back and tell us how you get on.
chacha, well if you faint i still want to know the cost! dhs scan of his stomach wasnt too expenisve so maybe its affordable? fingers crossed!
ebbie, i have been feeling dizzy too, did they do your bp at the drs? mine was fine so i think its the extra blood your body makes making me hot and then dizzy.... go back if youre worried. as for exercise/football etc..... i guess if you are fit and usually do ti it should be okay. i think i personally would avoid contact sports, but then i am alittle OTT in the what not to do when pg . another thing to check with your dr maybe?

george32 · 21/04/2005 18:24

Hi everyone, thanks for all the welcomes and DQ & Mishi, it's so nice to be following you across here.
I'm back from an afternoon of shopping. I'm back at work next week after some extended time off (Ooops, just in time to tell them I'm p/g again!!) & realised that I don't think I can fit in any of my suits at the moment let alone when I get bigger. Have bought a skirt suit that will "grow" with me for the rare occasion that I go visit a customer. Fortunately its casual in the office so I'm sure I can cram myself in my jeans a bit longer esp with your handy tip DQ. Never would have though of that one!

We are telling everyone next week. Not going to keep it secret because if anything were to go wrong again we would want them to know. Everyone knows we are trying again and they would just know if I tried to keep it from them (I've not got much of a poker face!! )

It sounds like it is scan city on this thread. Guess I only have a couple of weeks to wait too.
Good luck with your scan tomorrow Melanie, I do hope all goes well.

dramaqueen72 · 21/04/2005 23:10

know what i did this eveing? tsted again?! i was just feeling so UN pg this afternoon, well you do around now dont you? its a funny limbo time. and i was moping about because i had sent all my leftover test on to george.when i found one at the back of the drawer! the line appeared quickly and was darker than the tes line! i've never had such a great dark line! it cheered me up such alot! however silly it sounds to you guys!

george32 · 22/04/2005 08:35

Hi all, well another test this morning for me too (feel terrible because DP is thinking I'm waiting til Monday!!). My line is darker too so still good news. Love the fact that you managed to find a test at the back of the drawer DQ!

How is everyone else today?

Nemo1977 · 22/04/2005 08:41

DQ u were not alone in retesting yesterday i did it too. I also got a darker than control line so was delighted and it came up in about 5 seconds after dipping...lol

sweetheart · 22/04/2005 08:49

Morning everyone - So is Thur gonna be the chatty day then??? It's the one day I'm out of the office - I've missed loads.

First of all congrats to George - and welcome to our bean club!!

Scully - your not far from me - I'm in north-east Hampshire. Does that mean you'll be at Frimley?? Thats where I'll be.

So far the symptoms I've had are - extreame tirdness, but also really restless sleeps, feeling really hungry and then nautious (but only very mildly which is quite worrying), really big, sore boobs, and being irregular (IYKWIM!!!!)

We have told our closest family and friends already. Most of them had already guessed and it was becomming impossible to lie to all their sly questions!!!
Beside's it's nice to be able to share my worry's with people and after our last pregnancy everyone was hoping for some good news.

We have a hospital appointment next week for our sons post mortum results - I'm hoping that they will give me a scan there and then. Although even waiting until 12 weeks is still no better for us. Our ds was fine at the 12 week scan - they think his heart stopped beating a couple of days after the scan but we didn't find out until 16/17 weeks. I won't be happy till I'm past that point.

Ebbie, I think you should be about 6weeks 4 days today but I might be out by a day or two.

Marina · 22/04/2005 08:51

george32 · 22/04/2005 10:54

Ooooh, being on the list makes it seem very real!!
I have the OK to tell my BF today. I know I won't be able to talk to her without cracking so DP has agreed to me telling.

Thanks for your welcome Sweetheart. This waiting for the time to pass is going to be awful isn't it. I'm actually being very positive about things as I now know what the worst is that can happen. Warped???

Right going to sit by the phone & wait for my BF to return my message. I'm so excited, just can't wait to tell her.

Kitstar · 22/04/2005 10:58

Hello all- and hello to the new joiner! Sorry I?ve been off for awhile? feeling like rubbish- if I?m not physically doing something I?m fast asleep! And being a bit ?special? (what my mother has always called me in my defence ?She?s not late/ messy/ totally unorganised, she?s special!?) I?m not getting morning sickness its evening sickness- like the worst hangover ever- but with random throwing up incidents at the most inopportune moments!

Anyway- went for my early early scan on Tues? the scan-lady (I don?t know what their proper title is) couldn?t see anything on the external scan, so asked if she could do an internal NB: I?m the silly kind of girl who really hates internals- even smear tests (not too sure how I?m going to manage this giving birth malarkey!!!) So she?d just persuaded me to do it, got the probe thing in place (sorry!) and I was promptly sick- narrowly missing all the v expensive equipment! Not sure if she was just trying to get me out of there quickly- but she said she said 5 wks + 2d. But I?m abit confused- is that 5wk from conception? Which would make sense, but I thought prg were measured from the date of 1st day of last period, which would be 6wk + 5days (ish).

I?m now v confused- can anyone can help?

Kit x

Golds- I? sorry things are still so up in the air honey- I?ve still got my fingers crossed for you x x

Kitstar · 22/04/2005 11:03

George- I?m just about to tell my bf too- she?s a bit mad with me as I have been calling her, as I just knew she?d guess, there was something big going on? not sure how she?ll take it- prob lots and lots of screaming!!!! We always ?planed? to have babies together? but these little surprises don?t seem to adhere to even the best laded plans! x

george32 · 22/04/2005 11:32

Hi Kitstar, poor you being sick in the scan room . I'm going to have to face the tube every morning so I'm just praying that I don't get bad m/s.
Can you call the scan people up to confirm on the dates?

Told my BF and she is so pleased. She is just over 20 wks at the moment. We found out in 48 hrs that both of us were p/g last time and she has been with me through the m/c and was there for me after the op to look after me when DP was at work. Think she is stunned how quickly we have conceived again, 10 wks from op, and probably more terrified than me about something going wrong again.

Just wanted to check something on dates. If I go from my last period I'm 6 weeks on Sat but knowing I only O'd 2 weeks ago I'm basing it on 2 weeks before that, making me 4 weeks. Doctor didn't seem to "get" what I was saying about having a long cycle last time so I'm going to tell a little fib about my last period date. Do you think that is OK to do?

NotTellingYet · 22/04/2005 11:36

Good luck for your tests today Golds.

NotTellingYet · 22/04/2005 11:38

george they'll usuall adjust your EDD based on the scan if it's significantly out from the dates you'd got, so no it won't really make a lot of difference at this stage. Might mean you have to wait longer to get a scan though!

george32 · 22/04/2005 11:59

I'm more worried I'll get one too early as I think they said I can go at 6 weeks. Don't want to go too early & them see nothing!!
I think I would prefer to wait until there is a heartbeat - how many weeks is that?

dramaqueen72 · 22/04/2005 12:38

george, the scan people will listen to your 'real' o date, and so will your midwife, its just drs who have a little wheel and need only your LMP and dont care about finer details, ask for you early scan to be 'eight wks' which could mean 6wks in altered dates, iyswim. by 6wks plus, most people can see a heartbeat. on every pg thats been successful i have anyhow, so it means alot to me..i really wouldnt fib about you LMP because it can come back to haunt you at a later date....glad youre bf was happy and supportive.
kit all babies are different shapes and sizes, i wouldnt worry too much but calll them up and say how concerned you at being a week or so out and see what they say, maybe they will rescan, maybe they will say not to worry this early on.
internal scans arent the most comfy, but they are the best for detail. i always ask for one in preference.
sweetheart thankyou for updated list. I hope this is a lucky thread for us all!

MINNIE1 · 22/04/2005 12:40

Can i join the due in dec?

Found out i was pg yesterday... on CD28 and i have been ttc for over a year and a half also had a m/c last year.. But i have the BFP now so can i join all you pg ladys?

george32 · 22/04/2005 14:10

Hi Minnie, congrats on you BFP.
Your due date must be pretty close to mine.
Are you another 1st timer like me?
I'll apologise now as I'm going to be asking so many daft questions for the next 8 months!!
