Oh Jools I am just so, so sorry to hear your news. Poor you, that must have been utterly heartbreaking and very frightening. I've got a huge lump in my throat and tears in my eyes just thinking about what you've been through today. When you get home give those lovely cats of yours a great big cuddle. I'll be looking out for you on future threads and hoping to hear some good news from you soon. Best of luck in the future and I'll miss you on here (as I'm sure all the ladies will) x

agooboo · 11/11/2008 20:15

dandylioness this is a belly belt, hope that helps, tried to describe it but gave up!

Jools So, so sorry for you and your DH. I hope you are taking good care of yourself. x

Reggiee · 11/11/2008 20:26

Jools sad sad news . Take care and thanks for all your support on this thread.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 11/11/2008 20:31

Sorry not been on for a while - just been v tired.

Jools - really sorry to hear your news. I know from experience the rollercoaster of emotions that mc brings. Take care of yourself.

Febes · 11/11/2008 20:31

Jools- I'm so sorry for you. Please look after yourself.

I have put some new photos on my profile today.

Jennster · 11/11/2008 20:48

Jools, so sorry to hear your news.

Momino, I'm Gap UK12 US10 in stretch flares and the next size up in long and lean non stretch denim, and Top shop 14 if that is help.

Loobylou I'm rhesus negative too. For some reason in my hospital you only get one jab, whereas the norm is 2. I've already got my appointment for it through for the middle of Feb when I will be 28 weeks. I will have to have a glucose tolerance test too because I have diabetes in the family. I'm not diabetic and it makes me feel vile and considerably hypoglycaemic but it's time off work so....

Momino · 11/11/2008 20:59

dandyLioness, the belly belt is an elastic band which can attach to your non-maternity trousers/jeans (button fly mostly) to extend the waistband. it usually comes in set three extenders for the different stages of pregnancy. I only used one of the bands but it did help me wear my regular jeans through pregnancy. I did have to wear long shirts/tops to cover the waistline where the belly belt band would show but that was no problem. make sense?

Momino · 11/11/2008 21:01

I'm rh neg as well and Mw said York only get one jab but they're moving on to two jabs soon, prob after my pregnancy. this is fine with me - pregnancy/labour is enough without having to worry about little Extras like jabs .

CoteDAzur · 11/11/2008 21:02

Jools - I'm so so sorry Take good care of yourself. See you very soon on the pregnancy board.

flippineck · 11/11/2008 21:03

Jools - I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take time to recover, don't rush yourself, or allow others to rush you. And allow your DP to grieve (or allow him to allow himself, if that makes sense).

Loubylou and Jennster - I'm rhesus negative too. With DD I had the two injections, but where I am they've just moved to only doing one. According to my MW it is just as effective as you get a larger dose, and (surprise!) it's cheaper too. Apparently most areas are switching to just one dose.

There's also a quite a lot of diabetes in my family too, so GTT for me again. Had it with DD at 28 weeks, and hated it but as expected all clear. Not looking forward to it this time, not least because you usually end up stuck in the waiting room for hours with some dreadful people!

divedaisy · 11/11/2008 21:47

agooboo and momino thanks for describing the belly belt for dandylioness - i was about to add another ebay photo and description. My belly belt has three fabric panels with 4 belts (2 for buttoned trousers/skirts and another 2 for slide fastenings). It's a great invention. I bought maternity trousers for 1st pregnancy and one specific pair the crotch hung nearly at my knees and the over bump band NEVER stayed up!!! - they were such a horrible pair to wear but I'd paid money for them so had to make do! I think I got them out of Bloomin Marvellous..?

I've just eaten a Tescos Finest Belgian White Chocolate Mousse - My God, but it was so sweet it was sickening - it sounded really lovely when I read the label...

hope you're all tucked up in bed asleep by now. i'm on my way. have so much to do at work but i'm tired and worried one of the little ones will have to stay at home from nursery tomorrow so no work for me. we'll see.

i had three pieces of fully loaded domino's pizza which normally doesn't phase me but with my tummy recovering from whatever bug it had, i feel so bloated and ill. or is this pregnancy?

i think, think i felt the little bean move. it was just once, and a little pop. i'll see if it happens again.

nighty night all.

divedaisy · 11/11/2008 23:13

Dandy - I've bought and have ordered Next maternity wear. Have one pair of their boot cut jeans, which for £20 are great value. THey gape a bit at the back, but with a belt are ok. Have ordered quite a few tops which hopefullly will arrive tomorrow!!

Momino - yeah!! I think I can feel plum move too now and then. Youre due 1 may so you must be around 15/16 weeks - a good time to be feeling something I believe. My dates keep changing - originally 19th, then 17th, then 12th and now 7th!! But whatever it is I too think I can feel it - yes a pop. I feel mine on the right side - very exiciting!!!

Anyway nighty night all - bed is calling me!! xx

Jools, I'm so sorry. I don't know what else to say right now. I had a m/c last year at between 10 and a half-11 weeks. I found talking about it helped a lot. I wish I could give you a big hug. You've always been really lovely to me. I look forward to seeing you again on the boards whenever you are ready to post. xxx

magnummum · 12/11/2008 07:00

Hi ladies - can I join you? Was originally on June thread as EDD 6th June. However, after a scary weekend of bleeding had scan at EPU yesterday. Nice nurse said oh there's the baby and it's fine,(big relif) and theres another one, you're having twins! A bit surprised but very pleased, going to be busy as have DD aged 2. Imagine these two will now turn up in May. One surprised mummy.

LoobyLou36 · 12/11/2008 07:45

jools so so sorry

LoobyLou36 · 12/11/2008 07:50

I saw my consultant yesterday and mentioned the headaches I'd been having for last 3 weeks or so. He said to contact if they got worse/had trouble working/sleeping etc. as could be due to my tablets I take for bp.

They have got worse, could hardly sleep last night, thru up this morning too haven't done that for weeks. Kerbed the car driving to work as couldn't concentrate, now at work and having trouble seeing the screen. Head throbbing and neck seems to be siezing up also.

Is this normal? Does anyone else suffer from headaches like these? Should I ring the midwife?

Sorry for all the questions - this is really stressing me out.

FiKelly · 12/11/2008 08:23

I'm so so sorry jools to see your heartbreaking news I'm sure the tears will come at some stage for you and DH & when they do make sure you have a really good sesh. Big hugs xoxox

FiKelly · 12/11/2008 08:26

loobylou I don't get headaches that bad... & phoning the midwife can do no harm the worst that she can say is I can't help... why don't you see the doc for a different prescription

EmmalinaC · 12/11/2008 08:39

Jools I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, hope you're bearing ok and wish you all the very best for the future.

I've got a consultant appointment this morning - have an underactive thyroid so need to to confirm they have finally got my thyroxin does right.

Hope the rest of you ladies are doing ok? Welcome magnummum!

Jools, what a truly terrible experience for you. My thoughts are with you. If it is any help at all I planted a sapling for each of the babies we lost before conceiving this one. I find that they help me to deal with their loss and are a tangible reminder that while they are gone they were real.

Looby I have had bad headaches but not as bad as your sound and not very often during the pregnancy. I also find that they make me more likely to throw up. I have been managing with just temple massage so far but hope they clear up for us both. I support calling your midwife just to check that the level of headache is normal and if she has other suggestions of managing it.

I have to say I am finding this pregnancy much more uncomfortable than when I was carrying ds
Morning sickness worse, headaches worse, backache worse etc, etc. So much for blooming in the second trimester and poor dh is starting to wonder whether this was an immaculate conception and he reckons he can't remember what nooky was like as am too exhausted to entertain him!

LoobyLou36 · 12/11/2008 08:53

yawningmonster the DH comment sounds familiar. Mine keeps asking when I'm gonna turn into horny pregnant woman

I am going to ring the midwife at 9 to see if she has any suggestions. Its starting to affect my work, DH told me to stay at home today but I have alot on at the mo

FiKelly · 12/11/2008 09:01

The DH comment same here too as I've been feeling so horrid since last thursday he hasn't had a look in. I'm now at 13wks and really hoping the blooming phase will start soon
