Oh Lex so sorry.
I had cramps and spotting with my pg's but never bright red (just brownish).
Ring the E.P.U as soon as poss. They're fab. They scanned me early because of it.
Have you rang your mw yet? Normally you can ring them anytime.

HellKat · 12/04/2005 08:20

Diddle- Had one at 7 weeks because of the bleeding and this next one is normally the first scan (if you see what I mean).
Feeling fab! Still tad tired but managing without my siesta in the avo's now.
How are you? Did you have a good weekend?

Diddle · 12/04/2005 08:21

lexyB - know exactly what you're going through, best to get checked out even if it is nothing.
Fingers crossed for you, keep us informed and stay positive. my thoughts are with you. i'm here if you want a chat.

BEKsmum · 12/04/2005 08:31

LexyB How are you doing? Was the mw any help? Hope can get some rest today with your little one, keeping everything crossed for you.

Hellkat lol at the road atlas analogy!! Hmm not sure about your article, sounds painful to me, but then again you could try to deliver the French way, which is not to push - yes you read that correctly not to push.
My friend lives in France and has just had a her first child and they said that the baby will make it's own way down the birth canal whether you push or not so therefore they tell you not to push as this puts undue pressure on the baby and yourself. They left her like this for two hours in which time little Sasha made his own way down and she only pushed for about the last 10 minutes to get him out. She said it was very hard not to push but needless to say when she needed to push she had lots of energy left and it was all over quickly.

Off to buy ds some new trainers this morning, have a good day all and take it easy LexyB

When she comes over at the end of the month I'll ask her more about it and tell you more.

BEKsmum · 12/04/2005 08:33

Opps, those last two sentences should be round the other way obviously, got confused as ds is bugging me to go on Cbeebies!

Enthusia · 12/04/2005 08:37

Hiya Chacha

God yesterday was knackering, didn't get in until 6, I left at 7am!!!! Then I had to go shopping!!!

I actually feel far more motivated now, and feel quite happy. My parents and Dh say they have noticed a complete change, as if I am getting back to normal, will see how rest of week goes. As for sickness, not too bad, I find TicTacs work, esp during the day when I can't rush to the loo every 5 mins!!!!!

My belly has definitely got bigger, DH said it was huge last night and I can def feel my uterues - Midwife aid she could feel it easily. Oh well scan is only in 2 weeks tmrw, not long to wait.

LexyB - I hope all goes well, midwife said if that happened to me to to go straight to epu, they will fit you in as an emergency - just to check you out!!!

ChaCha - hope you have a good day today - will hopefully post later!!!

HellKat · 12/04/2005 08:37

Beks- The atlas thing is true! Swear if you look closely you can see A roads
Ohh don't know about not being able to push. That's like someone telling you to stop halfway through a pee!

BEKsmum · 12/04/2005 09:21

Hellkat, you mean you can't, what has happened to your pelvic floor muscles my dear, you can't have been doing your exercises, what will your mw say

HellKat · 12/04/2005 09:24

Lol I can but it's that weird feeling you get when stopping. Only time I've ever worried about my pelvic floor was when pg with ds2. Thought I'd suddenly become incontinent (leaked everytime I moved, coughed etc) and it turned out to be waters leaking instead lol.

BEKsmum · 12/04/2005 09:29

lol, you are very funny

HellKat · 12/04/2005 09:52

Thankyou Beks.
all true though

rodeo1 · 12/04/2005 10:02

Ahhh
Thankyou Rodeo

LexyB · 12/04/2005 11:19

Managed to get seen in EPAC this morning ( one of the very few perks of the job as a Midwife ) and have had an internal scan but unfortunately it was inconclusive. There is a small sac but it was too small to see it it is empty or just not as pregnant as my dates suggest. My periods have been irregular since Stanley was born and could be only 5+ weeks not 7. So had a blood test to check for HCG levels and need to have another on Thurs to see if they are going up or down and until then its just wait and see.Pregnancy test this morning was still positive but I know that is not reliable.

Thank you to everyone for messages of support. Nice to know you are thinking of me.

DH has been very sweet too, and I think this scare has made him realise that he wants this baby too. So fingers crossed for the next couple of days.

tex111 · 12/04/2005 12:57

Diddle, I'm in my 11th week now. We've got a nuchal scan on the 27th and I can't wait to see what's going on in there. We had an early scan at 7 weeks but there wasn't much to see at that stage. So glad you're feeling positive about it all.

BEKsmum, I'd love to get together sometime but let's wait a few weeks until my morning sickness calms down a bit. I'm so unreliable at the moment. Just had to cancel a playgroup for this afternoon because I'm having a bad day today. I make big plans and then end up slumped on the sofa all afternoon.

Lexy, I know what you're going through and I'm really glad you can get some information. Fingers crossed you get some good news by the end of the week.

Sorry this is a short one. Feeling quite ill and miserable today. Have discovered that Tango seems to help right now so off to lie on the sofa with my Tango.

BEKsmum · 12/04/2005 13:59

Aaargghhh, does anyone know a good site where you can sell a three year old as mine is driving me crazy?!!!! He will definitely be having a sleep this afternoon, before we fall out.

HELP NEEDED - how do I get ds to use a public toilet, we have a child seat built into our toilet seat so he feels safe, he has only been dry just over a week, but we have complete tantrums everytime we take him to use a public toilet. He can hold it till we get home but obviously that is not the ideal soluteion, so come you multiple mums, give me a clue

Nice to see you back Rodeo, thought you'd deserted us!

Have been a good mummy and been out and bought ds new trainers, had to search the shops for flashing ones as he refused to have anything else, finally found some Bob the Builders in Lillywhites. Treated myself to some cheap trainers too, not Bob's before you ask.

Also had to buy him some black plimsolls as he's starting a drama class at the weekend, not that he's not already enough of a drama queen.

Tex glad Tango helps, have you tried chocoalte, this seems to be working for me, what a bonus

Diddle · 12/04/2005 14:38

Lexy - my thoughts are with you.

Beksmum- how about ebay you can sell anything on there

I seem to be glued to the pc today, kids are racing round the lounge. son be school time, can get some fresh air then.

Hope you are all doing ok

LexyB · 12/04/2005 18:15

just had a call from the hospitl and hormone tests show that progesterone level is low and suggests a failing pregnancy. Have now got to go back for repeat blood test on Sunday but really there can only be one outcome.

Wish I could be more positive and at least join the TTC after MC thread but know that DH will not want another child so its all over for me.

Off to the pub later for a glass ot three of red wine

best of luck to everyone

chocolatequeen · 12/04/2005 18:24

I cannot believe how massive this thread is now - I've only been away a week!!! Firstly, to Diddle, am so so sorry - life's a bi**h sometimes, but know that you will get there in the end. Lots of positive thinking, and love and prayers to you and your family.

Haven't had time to read since I last logged on, so hope the rest of you are all doing well. Wanted to ask about nausea as well - haven't really had too much morning sickness - am now 8 weeks, wondering if maybe i won't get it at all, or maybe i'm just a late starter?

Anyway, main question was this - have booked my 12 week scan for when I'm back in the UK (wanted to see my obs from ds, as really want someone i trust to do this scan), but then suddenly realised, I will only just be 12 weeks by my calculations (i.e. I haven't had a dating scan done). Does that mean that if I'm only 10 or 11 weeks, then they won't be able to see nuchal fold, all the details etc and that I'll have to have another one done anyway?

Anyone had their 12 week scan done earlier?

Thanks guys
