Hello!

I'm starting a Due in Nov thread! A bit early maybe, but hey! By my calcs(!) I'm due Nov 3rd, are there any other ladies out there around the same time? I'm sure loads for Nov haven't even missed their period yet!

Anyway, I'm 27
pg no 4, dd1 born ar 26 weeks, sadly didn't make it, but now happily have dd2 age 5 and ds age 3 next week. And 1 lovely dp of 7 years!

Sorry if you've read this for a 2nd time but was advised by sallie to post on here!! x x x

Those of you who have some baby names in mind...are you going to tell us? Or are you worried we will steal your lovely name? Or even worse, tell you its awful or that our neighbour's dog is called that??????

cp3 · 30/03/2005 21:19

Dennis cos it sound cheeky. My ds looks like a Dennis.

I love Madeliene, Saffron & Ruby

twinkle1 · 30/03/2005 21:20

in terms of names we are thinking of amy grace or joshua william but im keeping an open mind as the baby might not look like a amy or joshua!!!

KristinaM · 30/03/2005 21:33

with our last baby we couldn't decide on a boys name, so hoped he would look like one of the ones on our list. and when he was born....he just looked like a baby. no help at all!!!!

I was a bit out of it on gas& air and shock and i remember telling DH that we should call him Kelloggs as i survived the pregnancy on cereal. You should have seen the midwife's face

cp3 · 30/03/2005 21:34

Exactly Twinkle. We were adamant that my Ds was going to be called Corbyn. Unfortunaley when he was born he lookked more like a Stanley. A few weeks later we decieded on Toby and it suits him although im sure Dennis would suit him better as hes a little menace

KristinaM · 30/03/2005 21:57

We should have called him Conan the Destroyer.

cp3 · 30/03/2005 21:58

How about Taz as in tazmanian Devil

KristinaM · 30/03/2005 22:02

now that is CCCOOOOEEEEELLLLLLLLLL

chocolatequeen · 30/03/2005 22:39

Obviously a bit slow off the mark here - should have joined weeks ago, but only just found out how to find the Due in threads....duh! Pregnancy brain kicking in again.

Age - 26
DH - 30
DS - 2.5 yrs

Think that I'm about 6 weeks - 1st day last period 11th Feb, which makes due date around 18th November?

Anyway, really wanted to know if anyone is starting to show yet? Have been eating like you wouldn't believe, 2 dinners every night, one with DS, one with DH so looking a bit thick on waist, but purely food, not baby. Anyone got a proper (not chocolate induced) bump?

Hope everyone is doing well, really looking forward to keeping in touch over next few months.

xxx

Hiya - yes Diddle I am still here - Just(mentally that is)

Finding all of this rather hard, worst bit is still the I can't be ar*ed attitude, really not used to that and is getting me down a little. Did try and continue decorating the bathroom yesterday, house is looking neater, but still no school work done!!!!

Sickness has worn off abit which is great, but my stomach is constantly moving. And soooooo much wind (blush)

Have my first midwife aptmt tmrw and dh has taken his day off to come which I though was sweet. Can't wait to talk to midwife, make it seem more real as feel more ill than pg.

We have also thought about names for years. (DH and I have been together since teenagers, it is amazing what strange names we have gone through in that time, although DH still has an obesession with Jack Daniels as a name (wink) well I suppose it is better than John Smiths, even our cat is alcohol related, Guinnie - yes youv'e guessed it after Guiness - God help our child!!! )

At the moment we have settled on Eilidh for a girl(pronounced aylee - Scottish name - after my best friend) however am worried this will really mess up phonic ability when spelling though. And Zak for a boy, was going to be Jack or Jake, but I have two of them in my class this year, and that really puts you off choosing the names!!!!

Anyway I will stop rambling now. Welcome all new people and have a great day everyone!!!!

Diddle · 31/03/2005 07:50

Enthusia - Glad to hear you're not as bad as you were. stay positive it will all be worth it in the end. I keep going from not wanting to do anything and getting upset when hubbie wants me to do anything to feeling like the house is a tip and wanting it clean and tidy all the time. Very weird.
Hopefully we will all feel better when the first tri is out the way.

The names we have are Holly or Emma for a girl and Joshua for a boy.
I've been measuring my belly which seems to be expanding all the time - it has increased by an inch in a week. Very curious as to whether it will be twins, they don't run in the family, but the midwife said that it is possible.

Hope all goes well with the midwife tomorrow and it makes you feel a little more at ease with what you're going through Enthusia.

Hope everyone has a great day.

cp3 · 31/03/2005 09:02

Chocolate queen, firstly many congrats, secondly have you any sickness yet. I woke up this morning and still feel so great that i promptly burst into tears. I feel so upset which id daft but i was so ill with the last 3 and i thought it was a sign that all is well. So now im thinking all is not well. Am i being an over emotional hormanal pregnant silly cow do you think.

And then my midwife phoned to say Frimley are not accepting any new mums to be from my area which made me cry worse. I said im not going anywhere else and thats that!!! Think ill start a thread about it for some advice. Back soon

BEKsmum · 31/03/2005 09:17

Congratulations & welcome aboard Chocolatequeen. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better Enthusia.

My friend gave me a name book the other day and I think I've chosen Samuel Ethan (known forever as Sam) for a boy which dh doesn't seem to mind but we haven't got a clue for a girl. When I was carrying ds I was going to call him Rhiannon as I was sure he was a girl but I've gone off of that now. So any suggestions appreciated - be nice now ladies!!!

BEKsmum · 31/03/2005 09:27

Oh CP3 don't be so hard on yourself, sounds like your being a pregnant woman to me and not what you called yourself. I know I said this before but I feel like you do and find myself feeling negative because I don't feel pregnant. When really I should be counting my blessings as running around after a three year old and feeling like crap would be a nightmare.

Do you think you'll feel more positive when you've seen a scan?

I know this will sound weird but feeling really really ill isn't always a good sign as a very close friend of mine lost a baby late last year and was sick virtually from the moment she conceived so please try to keep positive until you've seen a scan this might just be your body's way of letting you carry on with the other three without completely wiping you out - I should think you've got enough on your hand without feeling rough too. Take care of yourself sending you lots of {smile] & {{{{hugs}}}} to make you feel better.

Can't comment on the Frimley hospital issue though sorry!

hello all
i'm 32, this is my first, edd 8th November, partner is 35, live north london, have done 6 tests, all positive, but haven't had any morning sickness. Am eating like a pig, mainly chocolate, my jeans are now too tight (on the thighs!!!) and boobs are inflated and sensitive, beginning to panic a bit that am not having any serious symptoms as heard that if no ms = low hcg levels = not good. Haven't had any stretchy feelings either (although did get a slight pain on the right hand side a bit like ovulation, is anyone else at my stage - 9 weeks? have you felt the the uterus growing feeling and if so how would you describe it? thanks for any help.

Enthusia · 31/03/2005 11:39

Hiya Jenjam

I start my 9th week on Friday and have had stretchy utereus feelings for a while. They tend to be a tightening kind of pain, like the start of a period pain without the painful climax-like contraction at the end. Hope this helps oh and congratulations by the way, this is also my first. Very new and weird isn't it?

I would feel quite lucky at not having ms, I had it bad for a week and now just get nauseas if I don't eat something for an hour. Thank God for crackers and toast and marmite.

Have you got the tired I can't be ar*ed feeling yet, that I find, is the worst so far?

thanks for replying lisalisa and enthusia, am asking these qs because am looking for signs that baby is still growing. think i spent too long on the miscarriage thread just listening to what had happened to others etc(btw i'm not usually a negative kind of person...must be due to hormones.....

another uncharacteristic side effect....have been flying into a rage and then weeping at the slightest annoyance/frustration. am starting to look like a complete unstable nutter at work.

do you get the stretchy cramp on one side only or both? or in the middle.

Anyway, hope to talk more with you both as we develop...

JenJam · 31/03/2005 12:46

sorry just reread the replies and can see you have said you get it lower right side. pg seems to have given me a fuggy brain

i do feel extra tired. seem to be sleeping 9 hours a night which is 2 hours more than usual (and without the help of 3/4s a bottle of wine) where abouts are you two from? is there an intro list of all the ladies in the november board?

Enthusia · 31/03/2005 12:55

Jenjam

If you scroll down a bit you will see a list of most of us, I think it was Rodeo1 who did it. Very helpful.

I am 26 and live in Reigate in Surrey.

My cramps switch sides, sometimes left, sometimes right, sometimes middle. Have noticed that after going for a pee in the night, get back in bed and have cramp in right side, weird! Goes as quickly as it came though!!

As for emotions, was clearing fridge out other day and burst into tears at sight of out of date food that needed chucking !!! Before Easter hols was also really moody with kids in my class (I am a teacher) hopefully I will be a bit more motivational when I go back after the break.

What do you work as?

Diddle · 31/03/2005 12:58

I'm in my 9th week, have had a few growing pains, like sharp pains in my side didn't last long. Have also had stitch in my side which lasted all day, but all is ok as far as i know.

It just feels like a dull ache sometimes, or like a really weird pain like someone has poked me in the tummy. its really weird, hard to explain. some people notice it more than others, it might depend on your frame and build. who knows.

JenJam · 31/03/2005 13:05

i'm a market researcher..i run focus groups and write reports. i work in a small office (20 people in total) none of my colleagues (apart from one bloke) have kids, and all of the people here live like teenagers. in fact a workmate just aked me if I fancy going to a gig tonight, to drink loads of lager. err. no thanks. am beginning to look like I've has a personality transplant and lifestyle overhaul. am going to have to use the 'i'm detoxing' excuse again, or perhpas drive (~which would look strange as I always get public transport so that I can drink), or perhaps i'll just not go. btw I'm not an alcoholic. anybody else swing wildly from loving their new maternal future to feeling freaked out that you're going to be someone's mum!!!

Diddle · 31/03/2005 13:08

I DO!!!
its very weird to think that after years of looking after other peoples children (i'm a childminder) and being able to send them home and have a break if they're being really naughty. i will have my own that i am responsible for. its rather scary. i'm only 24 and feel like i'm really young. can't believe i;m going to be a mom. but i also can't wait. i've alwasy wanted kids
