Evening All and welcome to the newbies. Much respect to Lisalisa having her 5th. This will be my fourth one and thats bad enough. People dont say congrats to me anymore they just say im mad

Cant wait for my scan, one cos i dont think im that far on as i feel absolutley fine, normally i would be flat out with sickness by now, and two to definatley make sure theres only one in there as getting doubtfull due to the size of my belly in my gym class just now. Even breathing in didnt help much.

Glad everyone one is well and happy. We are on our way to 12 weeks, hooray!!!

busyalexsmummy · 29/03/2005 21:09

UGhh, cant wait for this "cant b arsed" feeling to go, mangaed to do some hoovering today but got to 4pm and felt like i could sleep forever! still eating the junk, sure i wasnt like this with ds, hmmm
last couple of days had real sicky moments, especially today when alexs nana was round, picked him up and he was sick all down her cleavage!! lol! also been having quite alot of crampy feelings, but i think its trapped wind! next scan on thursday so should be able to see a heartbeat providing everything is well, still not sure how many weeks i am, from my dates of lmp should be 8+5, but who knows!
howz everyone?

KristinaM · 29/03/2005 22:12

oh dont say that CP30 as i am feeling really fat and i will die if I'm having twins!!!!! Sorry , no offence to mums of twins...but I couldnt cope with 3 kids under 18 months. My Dh is away with work at teh moment and I'm knackered with just the two of them 24 hours a day.
whinge whinge [moan emoticon]

KristinaM · 29/03/2005 22:14

BAM -in my last preg I had lots of period pains for the first 3 montsh. very disconcerting.
How is your Dp about things now?

KristinaM · 29/03/2005 22:17

Sorry just realised that all this moaning must be a bit annoying to those of you who conceived after a miscarriage and are worried sick ....sorry if i was insensitive

rodeo1 · 29/03/2005 23:49

Well had my nurses appt today she says I could be anywhere between 5-8 weeks - the daft bint!! my date of last period is 27-28 Jan! I don't get to see MW until 3rd May! by which time I'll be 13+ wks - never mind. Now I'm really about you all having scans! I won't get one til 21 wks.

Good morning all and welcome Lola.
Wow Rodeo! You must be furious!!!! If it's any consolation, my lmp started on 29th Jan and I turn 9 weeks Saturday 2nd April. So you must be a few days ahead.
Been a happy bunny here since the clocks went forward. Somehow they've made little ds sleep more . He now wakes around 7am but yesterday did'nt wake until 8am! (Was checking on him every few minutes to make sure he was still ok lol).
Glad the ms is easing a bit for you girls. Can't believe only 3 or so more weeks then we're 12 weeks!! Going soooo quickly!

Diddle · 30/03/2005 08:10

Hellkat - I'm 9 weeks on sunday, and every day is ablessing i'm wishing my life away. Can't wait to get past 12 weeks.

Enthusia - are you still with us? how are you feeling? enjoying your school holidays?

Hope everyone isn't feeling too bad. Got a busy day today, looking after 5 kids, i'm ready for bed already.

Have a good day.

twinkle1 · 30/03/2005 08:49

hi everyone hope you are all having a good easter. just got back from the in laws!! it was great to go up home and see everyone but having to share a bedroom with the 2 kids was torture
I am ready for a rest at home now but not much chance of this with both the kids on holidays, never mind. Hope you are all well welcome to everyone new Twinkle1

BEKsmum · 30/03/2005 10:48

Hi all, congratulations and welcome to the newbies. What a great thread we've got going here. I'm going to have to read it again tonight as it's got so long over Easter, just to familiarise myself with the new names!!!

Rodeo I had to lol at your post about the nurse, if it makes you feel any better I think I start my 9th week today and I get my booking in appointment on the 3rd May!!! I also got a letter from Kings today to tell me my Nuchal scan will be on the 24th April so I'll have had a decent scan before I even get to see a midwife lol.

Same dates as you for last period and bump was convceived 20th Feb as I have a 39 day cycle!!!

Better go as taking ds to see Mrs BacktoFront, first for stories then a magic show with one of his little buddies. Have a good day all.

p.s. How many Easter Eggs did your kids end up with ds got nearly a dozen - no temptation there then

alicemama · 30/03/2005 11:08

Hello ladies,
I would love to join you all here as I'm expecting baby no2.
I better introduce myself:
My name is Philippa, I'm 2 and have to been married to my dear dh for 4yrs. I have a 2yr dd who is currently being entertained by balamory!
Expecting baby no2 on 11/11 and hopefully planning a homebirth.

Can't wait to get to know you all better.

Philippa

Diddle · 30/03/2005 11:23

alicemama, you've put that you're 2 rather than 20 something i presume. congrats on your news and welcome to the group. we've just watched balamory too.

I was wondering if anyone wasn't having a Nuchal scan. I'm not sure whether to have one or not, think i would rather wait and see.
Are they compulsary for some of you?

alicemama · 30/03/2005 11:28

I know I don't like getting any older but I'm not in denial that much I'm 27!

lisalisa - your DH must be related to my DH

tex111 · 30/03/2005 11:49

BEKsmum, I'm having my nuchal scan at Kings on the 27 April! It's the same with me. I won't see a midwife until after that time. We're off to Texas for three weeks on 7 May so I'm hoping to at least get registered before we go.

Has anyone started thinking of names yet? We've started and have a girl's name that we really like but are having trouble with boy's names. It was exactly the same with DS and, of course, he ended up being a boy! We'll definitely find out the sex of the baby as soon as possible. We did that with DS and I enjoyed being able to buy little boy clothes and nursery items before he arrived. Anyone else going to find out the sex?

Hope you're all feeling well. Morning sickness is pretty rough today. I was up being sick at 2am this morning, which was a treat. Hope that doesn't happen again.

Diddle · 30/03/2005 15:28

we've bee thinking of names for years, have got two girls names that we love and one boys name that I ahve always wanted. hope we don't have twin boys or we will need to think of another.

dangirl · 30/03/2005 15:45

Hi girls.
I am having my booking in app with Dr on Friday - will be 8 weeks. I can't quite remember it from 1st time. Do I also see a midwife there on that day? I think I did last time.
Also I had my DD over 8 weeks early. I presume that means I will get extra care this time around. But does anyone know what that means here? Sorry, I am not english allthough have been here for some time.
Hope all are well.
Take care. And I soo agree with the sentiment "bring on twelve weeks".
Love, Dangirl xx

Diddle · 30/03/2005 17:40

Dangirl - I went to the Dr to let them know I was pregnant and they didn't really do much, then I had an appointment with my midwife seperatley, where they went through paperwork. I have since had a midwife visit at home to finish off the paperwork. lots of visits already and i'm only 8 wks, but they did say i wouldn't see them again now until 24 wks, which seems a lifetime away.

KristinaM · 30/03/2005 19:03

Hi everyone. Commisertions to those of you feeling under the weather. Here's hoping all the MS stops at week 13( or sooner!!!!)
I'm amazed at how different maternity care is all round the Uk. I've to get an early scan next week to rule out an ectopic pregnancy but after that i dont knwo when I will get a hosp apt. I'm going to a different mat hosp this time so will wait and see.....
Respect to those of you going for a home birth. Wish I was brave enough but fear i will need the drugs [ wimp emoticon]

lola01 · 30/03/2005 20:43

hello all....roll on 12 weeks for me too(though am only 6 wks now!) already fed up of feeling sick, tired and not wanting to do anything. Also have strange stretching feeling in my stomach.... thought it was a bit early for that...stomach is huge though...bit worried about twins as they are in my family...

BEKsmum · 30/03/2005 20:58

Tex, just reread my earlier message my nuchal is on the 25th - wonder whether we'll bump into each other at Farnborough along the way?! Is your dr's part of the group practice scheme?

Diddle, the tests aren't compulsory in Bromley, they are just offered as part of the service and give you a chance to find out about any chance of abnormalities in a more detailed scan. Personally I think it's one of the better scans as it non invasive and really put my mind at ease last time and I think as I'm lucky enough to get the chance to go to one of the best research hopsitals around it's well worth taking up the offer.

Right I'm off to watch The Apprentice, lets hope Saira gets the sack this week .

Hope everyone gets a good nights sleep especially you tex, I've been there with you a couple of times in the last couple of weeks and funnily enough tonight feels like one of those nights for me too!
