I assume its nature's way of making us over achievers rest!!

cp3 · 28/03/2005 13:34

Totally drained and no enthusiam and im 7 weeks i think, so try not to worry

KristinaM · 28/03/2005 13:35

only wanting junk food seems to be quite common too, although i never had it. you just have to be creative about finding soemthing that you fancy but is also healthy.so if you only want sweet things, try canned fruit ( in juice), fruit smoothies, non sweetened cereal, cottage cheese and pineapple etc etc. Its just a matter of findin g it. You dont HAVE to eat spinach!

KristinaM · 28/03/2005 13:39

Enthusia - your house being in a state "for the first time ever" is DEFINITELY nature's way of getting you used to the mess after the baby is born and for the next 20 years. It is also Gods way of training men to do housework. And who are you to fly in the face of nature / God???

mawbroon · 28/03/2005 13:48

Hi ladies. Sorry to gatecrash your thread. I am officially due on October 26th but the MW told me that average for first babies is 41 and half weeks. I don't want to be left all alone on the October thread!!! Would you consider adpopting me if I go over........

Thank you in anticipation

xx

Enthusia · 28/03/2005 14:02

Thanks for the support - just feel so unlike me!!! Am trying to clean kitchen at mo but had to stop as had crying fit - damn emotions. It is really, really comforting to know someone else is going through the same things. Felt quite alone before.

Thank you again

Oh and Mawbroon - the more the merrier - more people to offer advice etc.

Diddle · 28/03/2005 14:47

enthusia - feeling much the same today, have had what felt like a busy easter weekend. hubbie has suggested going out or getting on with things but at the moment all we are doing is vegging on the sofa. we are wtaching father of the bride 2, think it might start the emotions going again though, might not be a good idea. back at work tomorrow and i just don't have the energy to sort out the house or do the 3 baskets of ironing that have been sitting on the floor for 4 days. glad i'm not the only one with no energy.

Plus i am also hungry all the time, but also feel sick so i don't know what to eat, i've run out of ginger nuts

I feel huge, very bloated nobody can believe i am only 8 weeks. i'm going to have to tell everyone soon before they guess.

Hope you all had a good easter and thanks for letting me waffle on.

cp3 · 28/03/2005 15:50

My craving is spinach, that what made me think i might be pregnant

Enthusia · 28/03/2005 15:59

urghh - spinach - that's green isn't it???!!!!

Happysecret2 · 28/03/2005 16:19

I still can't belive that no4 is on the way. I did my food shopping today and thought how much more expensive it will get having to buy 2 lots of nappies. I really felt the increase in wash loads I do after no3 so heaven knows what it will be like. A couple of sets of twins in my family mean that I will be nervously waiting my 12wk scan.
I never had a miscarriage b4 but am scared that this time it will happen.
DS really wants a brother but I don't know many people with 2boys and 2girls so when we tell them I will try to convince them that its almost definatly a girl.
Anyway enough waffling hope everyone has a good easter

cp3 · 28/03/2005 16:23

Yes Enthusia, very green and strangley enough tastes good. Ive never had it in my life before, just started craving it about 4 weeks ago. Sad arnt i, i stll want the bad stuff too though.

Happy secret how old are the 3 you have. I have 3 aswell and im trying not to think about the extra work load this next one will bring. Im more thinking if we could afford an au pair and wether she would sleep in the shed or bunk up with the kids.

BEKsmum · 28/03/2005 19:08

Hi all, sorry to take this back down the thread but Rodeo there is absolutely no chance of no. 3 for me. One of us will definitely be being tied in a knot!!!

Speak to you all soon.

Laylasmum · 28/03/2005 19:14

Hi all a joining a bit late still not sure if its tempting fate. I'm due 1st or 2nd nov so am heading towards 9 weeks. have dd age 3 next week and m/c last summer so am v anxious and convinced everything will go wrong!!Am feeling vv tired and sick all the time but only thrown up x 3 ( actually less sick than with DD!)anyway guess i'll be speaking to you all again soon, hope everyone's pg goes without a hitch!!

rodeo1 · 28/03/2005 22:02

I'm glad there's quite a few on No 3 or 4 - it makes me feel a bit less guilty! Dp's just excited about getting a bigger car!

As for the 'can't be ar*ed' feeling, I know exactly what you mean Enthusia! Just thinking about doing stuff makes me tired. Been spending a small fortune on takeaways as can't be bothered cooking or washing pots! Roll on 13 weeks - please!

Well done to all the recent arrivals expecting new arrivals! 'm so glad our membership list is getting bigger - it'll be so exciting discussing whether it'll be a boy or girl and babynames and new prams etc!!! I hope someone will have twins! Although not me thanks

Getting a bit ahead of myself - fingers and toes crossed we all graduate to 12 weeks and beyond

laylasmum - i know just how you're feeling, i had a m/c this january and fell pregnant again striaght away after, no period between. I am extremely worried all the time. Every twinge i feel i start to stress about. We just need to stay positive, we have no control over what will happen. don't worry there is no increased risk this time, just enjoy being pregnant.

hollybelle · 29/03/2005 09:36

Hi to you all
Thanks for all the welcomes!!!!
I'm glad to see there are lots of you expecting number 3. Alot of people I know expect you to stop at 2 but we decided we'd have another one now before I got too old (I'm 35). My dd who's nearly 11 months has been a little angel and I'm hoping she'll stay that way, if she had been difficult we probably wouldn't be expecting no 3 now!
Feeling ok at the moment although I can't eat anything with tomatoes or spice, they make me feel really sick!! (no curry for me at the moment then!)

Hi lisa lisa
You'll definately have your hands full! congratulations!!
I'm sure this will be my last, don't think my husband could cope with anymore!!

HellKat · 29/03/2005 12:49

Hi all and a warm welcome to our new-comers.
Had a fab easter here and yep Beks I did stuff my face lol .
Got a chaotic week though. Dp's nephew is staying with us until tomorrow, my friend's coming up from London tomorrow and staying until Thursday with her 2 ds's, ds2's 1st birthday Friday and finally dp's sister and baby coming down at the weekend!! Coping ok so far but what will I do without my afternoon siesta????
Cp3- understand totally about how can you get a "pg belly" when it's so diddy and small. My tum seems to have grown upwards instead of outwards and my poor boobs itch like crazy (sorry tmi) anyone else get that? I did with the last two aswell.
Have a great time all and have fun!

Diddle · 29/03/2005 13:17

hellkat - yes mine are very itchy too, but their too sore to keep scratching, so i keep rubbing them.

Wow Lisalisa - What a lovely big family!!

I've got an appt at the doc's this afternoon to tell them about impending fourth c-section. I'm expecting to get a telling off!! Last time they said 'this will be your last now, won't it?'. 'Yes, yes!' I said. Oh well!

So you've made me feel a bit better now lisalisa - How did your 4th go? My 3rd was fine, just a bit of excess blood loss during surgery (I think 500ml of loss is what they aim for, mine was about 800ml if I remember correctly), but I really don't want to go incontinent!! I suppose everyone's different - gulp!

So,Lisalisa, what hospital are you headed to? Did you just find out. Sorry, everyone, for crashing this thread but I'm dying to get the scoop.

Thought it might safer to chat here, Lisa, rather than via the work server.

And, how's the new job negotiation going?

KoalaBear · 29/03/2005 19:48

lisa lisa you made me smile today when I read "i'm LIsa and I'm 37. i've got 4 children already aged 8,5,3 and 18 months and a dh of 12 years"

which my crazy pregnant brain read the first time to mean that your DH is 12 years old (which sometimes I think of mine too!) Of course, not true, but I had to laugh at my mixed up head!

lola01 · 29/03/2005 20:13
