morning hellkat, how many weeks pg are you now??

cp3 · 20/03/2005 09:30

Morning all. Unfortuantley we dont have a pound land here and im too impatient to wait to order one off the net. Im gonna pop out today and just do one more to rest my mind. I know they say you cant have false posotives but my sister did! She was sure she was 7 weeks pregant but the docs said she definatley wasnt. How wierd is that. It was highly un likeley anyway she had her tubes tied five years ago. The doc thinks she is going through early menapause, poor thing.

cp3 · 20/03/2005 09:31

Hellkat my boobs are doing that too id i press on them which i do often to check they are still tender . I think it is alot to do with the previous breastfeeding and being pregnant again

HellKat · 20/03/2005 09:54

Twinkle- Turned 7 weeks yesterday.
Cp3- Aww that's a shame about Poundland. What about a Wilkinsons? They're pretty cheap there to.
Really p*ed off atm. Mum's being a cow about the possibilty of babysitting when this little one's born. Long story cut short, she doe'nt like Dp, Has'nt had much to do with ds2 since he was born (never babysat once) and is bang against this pg. Told her we're trying for a homebirth again but if anything were to happen, would she look after ds1 and 2. She flatly refused so at present I'm at the point of saying to her where to go (in no uncertain terms!). Funny thing is, her and ds1 are on holiday for a week (from tomorrow) and I have to go aound twice a day to feed her cat etc. She never asked, just assumed. Dp reckons I should've said "No, you won't look after your grandchild, I won't look after your cat!".
Ok rant over. Sorry girls, just had to have a moan.

Feel better now.

cp3 · 20/03/2005 10:11

If she doesnt want to i wouldnt even try and make her. She is the one thats missing out on her granchildren growing up, and she will regret it later when she has no one. She should respect the decision you have made to have another child and the man youve chose. Bloody parents!!! Use a friend that wants too instead.

What due date do you have Hellkat??

HellKat · 20/03/2005 10:19

Yep I agree Cp3. She is the one missing out.
I'm due 5th. What about you?
If you're still looking at more tests, try a little independant chemist (if you have one nearby). They're cheaper than mainstream ones.

HellKat · 20/03/2005 10:25

Oh wow!!!
Just tried the most yummy cake!!!!!!! Sainsburys, Taste the difference "sao tome" chocolate tart! Girls you have to try it!! (it's in the freezer section). It is heavenly!!

cp3 · 20/03/2005 10:37

The 6th we think, but i have to have it via c section so will more likely be the 1st. Will drfinatley know at the scan whch seemslike ages away to the 12 week scan. I know we shouldnt wish our lives away but i just want to see him to check all is well. At least im sure im not having twins cos if i was id be puking for england right now

HellKat · 20/03/2005 11:06

Lol. my dp is convinced that we're having more than (he'd better be wrong). He had a dream that I was pg before we tested and in that dream we were having triplets. Needless to say he's looking forward to the scan tomorrow.
We were lucky to get the next scan through so quickly (18th April).

cp3 · 20/03/2005 12:13

I was good, i didnt buy another test. Got a pregnancy book instead and a nice piece of beef. Money alot better spent i think.

HellKat · 20/03/2005 12:34

Yep sounds good.
Just try to relax and enjoy the pg!
Enjoy the roast dinner too!

peepee · 20/03/2005 19:48

Still all flued up. Good news been clear of any discharge for a couple of days Boobs still aching and felt a bit sick tonite

Got my scan at 0830 on the 21st April. Fingers crossed all goes well this time. Apparently it takes hours (1st appointment). I have never got this far before.

Had a mad craving for burger and chips last nite. Got it, sat down to eat it and just couldn't do it! What a waste of food. Same thing tonite. Fancied apple pie. Got it. Ate it. Then felt sick!!!!! Bizarre but if it's the pregnancy doing it, I DON'T CARE....... I WANT MORE OF IT! You guys are probably thinking i am not all there......Well don't worry, DH thinks it too.

Off to work in the morning.....GREAT !.....

Gonna snuggle down now to watch the wedding planner then bed........

Actually, none of that, we're not allowed. Doctors orders!

Diddle · 20/03/2005 20:24

Hellkat,
i'm in Stourbridge West Midlands,We have had visitors this weekend who aren't far from you, in Wellingborough. She had her DD at kettering hosp last year. Will you have yours there?

Diddle · 20/03/2005 20:31

Woke up feeling really really dizzy this morning, had to stay in bed for an extra hour. felt really sick too. Boots have got an offer on pregnancy tests, buy one get one half price on Clear Blue and pregnacare vitamins are 3 for 2, so i've stocked up.
Going to put my feet up, have a good evening.

yingers74 · 20/03/2005 22:10

evening all, just wondering how many are feeling really sick? It comes in waves although I have not thrown up yet, just feel like rubbish and mouth fills up with saliva then it goes. On the food front, seem to need to eat something quite often even if just a sweet else i feel really bad. Quite diff from my first dd where i did not eat for about 5 months as I just threw everything up even water! I am trying not to complain though as I know these are all good signs and hopefully will mean this one sticks. I wonder whose idea it was to give pregnancy such symptoms, I think a higher metabolism so you can eat more chocolate would have been a lot better or perhaps the ability to levitate!!!!!!!

busyalexsmummy · 20/03/2005 22:12

Feeling really cream crackered today, have got flu, so eyes watering, runny nose, feel lousy!!!! am feeling really bloated today, trousers felt tight and feel like im retaining a lot of water, not looking forwrd to early morning bloods tommorrow at gp's, rather be in pj's all day at home but will be waiting on the results which will come tommorrow or tues, then they'll give me anougher scan

nite x

busyalexsmummy · 20/03/2005 22:15

I have to say I was fine with ds up until 12 weeks, i felt sick but wasnt, then at 12 weeks i just started getting instant sickness...like...im feel sick...oppppps! it got so bad, the dr's put me on tablets, but i gave up taking after 6 weeks as they were making like a zombie!!, sickness continued through till about 30 weeks though!

cp3 · 21/03/2005 08:07

Im getting really worried. I feel absolutley fine. With the last three i was so sick as soon as the line turned blue. With one Dd i was even hospitalized for dehydration. I even havnt been eating till later in the day cos this cold bug has left me with no appetite.I have hardly any symptoms. Im constipated, loveley, i knew you would all want to know that and last night i had some shooting pains in my boob.

I know sickness is a sign all is well, so thats why im worried. Has anyone else experienced no sickness apart fron buyalexsmummy.

I will prob be posting next week saying how i cant keep anything down, but i know you all know what its like in the first few weeks and why i would worry so much

cads · 21/03/2005 08:38

Good morning everyone. Glad to see we are all doing well especially peepee.

Busyalexsmummy - hope everything goes well today.

CP3 - I also haven't got any sickness and feel fine, just a little tired and have slighty tender breasts. I was the same with ds too. I'm in week 7 so it might all still come or it might not. I am taking this as a good sign and hope it stays this way. If you are really worried, then I would definitely test, that way you know for sure and can enjoy feeling great without the worry.

Bye for now.

Diddle · 21/03/2005 11:13

I've found an interesting website about pregnancy.

foetal development pictures

its really good, got some very detailed pictures and information on pregnancy too.

HellKat · 21/03/2005 12:09

Diddle- I had ds2 there last year and it's one of the best hospitals I've dealt with. planning on a homebirth for this though.
Cp3- I've had no sickness what-so-ever! I never have done either. Just a very lucky gal!
Had the scan this morning. Everything's perfect! saw our little beany boo on the screen. They've put the due date to to the 8th now instead but will double check at the next scan. They even gave us two piccys.
Have a great day girls.

Diddle · 21/03/2005 12:10

Hellkat
glad your scan went well, i can't wait until i have mine, got another 5 weeks though.
I'll just be pleased to get that far.
Have a good day

cp3 · 21/03/2005 12:35

So pleased for you and your little broad bean Hellkat

HellKat · 21/03/2005 12:39

Thankyou!
Forgot to say, they think the bleeding is down to my endometriosis and very likely that with every pg, I'm going to have a "period". Lovely!

Enthusia · 21/03/2005 13:19

oh dear - feeling really crap! Could not go to work today due to violent sickness this morning. Have felt constantly nauseas since Friday - no let up and have tried EVERYTHING - and have no energy what so ever. I went back to bed at 7.30am and have just woken up. Was eating alot - little and often - and now can't face anything. Have shooting pains in boobs and they have grown 3 cup sizes so now need to wear a support bra in bed. Is all of this normal? I don't even have the energy to get out of bed to go to the toilet! Help!!?? (sorry to moan, still really extd about being pg, just rather down about all symptoms - can't stop crying either!)Any advice please!
