Hi ladies, new thread as we seem to have outgrown the old one!

OP posts:

Dozy - what a lovely gift I bet you are so chuffed with them - but as Merry said, maybe someone ordered them for you?? I guess only Pinky will ever know the truth

Dozymare · 30/09/2008 11:08

actually that is very true indeed!!! I WAS asking Pinky the other day for mussies so yes, someone could have been very clever and observant!! Whoever you are, thank you so very much - they are GORGEOUS (and far to nice for wiping up baby dribble!)

Hanaflower why not get oyur mum to keep the buggy at her house if it is close by? Are you planning on carrying the baby all the time???? If so, for how lo9ng?????

ChocOrange05 · 30/09/2008 11:10

Merry yes - I also lost to Lacks, not friends with her anymore either .

PS - Obs, Monkey, Merry - can I join in the pool too?? I am ok, my DH is very good (grew up in a hotel/pub) but I occasionally beat him!

Dozymare · 30/09/2008 11:12

chocorange you need to do a spreadsheet - let's have a due in Nov scrabble play off (although we all KNOW the final will be between those experts lacks and monkey)

Pinkyminkee · 30/09/2008 11:15

Hi all
sorry to hear people are having bad sleep.

BH- everyone gets them- it's your uterus practising. LOts of people don't feel them at all, unless they touch their bump and realise it's hard.

They do get stronger later in PG. Some people, like me and saurus feel them very strongly.

I asked a lot of questions about this during my pregnancies because I get them very strongly.

DM I couldn't poossibly comment on the secret stork; customer confidentiality and all that

wow hana you shall lose all your baby weight in no time What do you plan to do after 6 months? If you are thinking of using a buggy then, you can't go wrong with something like a maclaren or MB breeze - the silver cross buggies are lovely but very bulky, heavy and cumbersome......especially as you plan to only use it occasionally....

misdee · 30/09/2008 11:28

mb are bringing out a mini-urban. called the mountain buggy swift. i want one!

yes rear facing is good - your mum might be happy with a Mountain buggy that has a carrycot attachment - plus from your point of view, they can be used until about age 4! It seems a bit mad to get a bulky silver cross that will only be used for 6 months!!!

Maclarens are brilliant and take up no room at all.....ideal for occasional users...

Dozymare · 30/09/2008 11:34

missdee how did i miss that one?? when's it coming out then, eh eh eh.........I adore my MB breeze but will be using my double for foreseeable future

Oblomov · 30/09/2008 11:37

I have been given a silver cross by my sil, and so far, can not really recommend it. Very bulky. No car seat base to clip into. Mind you, if you are doing attachement p, that is not so much of a consideration.

dozy you arent a pram nerd like me

i am eying upthe swift as the hallway in the new house is a lot narrower than my current one, so sold my mb a couple of weeks ago, and once i have thought about it some more, i maqy geta swift. but the RRP is £400. [gulps] the swift

ChocOrange05 · 30/09/2008 11:46

Hana I have the Quinny and it is pretty easy to fold once you get the hang of it (although not so easy with a large protruding stomach!) The shopping basket is quite small but I am planning on buying some of those bag clips from mothercare so I can attach extra bags onto it. The Quinny folds quite small but the carrycot does take up quite a bit of space when storing.

DM So you want me to set up a Due in Nov scrabble tournament?? So who's in??

Dozymare · 30/09/2008 11:48

actually maybe yu can help me then missdee where can i get clips for my buggy board? they are fixed firmly onto my other buggy and no way of getting them off - I just need the clips! any ideas?

Dozymare · 30/09/2008 11:49

chocorange knew you couldn't resist the urge for some spreadsheet action

I'm in!!!!

misdee · 30/09/2008 11:49

i have been naughty i have a bugaboo cameleon and a bugaboo bee

after my panic the other week over car seats all fitting in the car and then relaising boot space was minimal, i decided to flog loads of stuff, and then found a bargain bee on ebay, plus had a 20% off voucher as well.

so got an almost new bugaboo bee (rrp £359) for just over £200.

am still feeling guilty. it looks odd, but is very nice. my sister is currently trying it out with her little one.

mind you, i have barely bought anything new this time.

ChocOrange05 · 30/09/2008 11:51

Hana we just bought the Isofix for the Maxi-Cosi car seat, which goes with the Quinny, and its very easy to use - you get green indicators when its in probably and red when its not. Nice and simple!

misdee · 30/09/2008 11:51

dozy ebay. or contact lascal (is that who makes your board?) direct and ask them about spare sets of clips.

how do you get on with the buggyboard? dd3 not the greatest walker, and the way home from nursery is going to be a slightly longer walk than before, and uphill. am considering a board, but i am a shorty.

Dozymare · 30/09/2008 11:51

I had a bee for about a month - HATED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

misdee · 30/09/2008 11:53

lol dozy, its for the car only. as i love the cam as main walking buggy as it has a carrycot.

Oblomov · 30/09/2008 11:56

I'm in, for scrabble.
