oh dear just realise I sound like a total perve!! Thats not how it was meant...I just meant...oh Im not going to dig a bigger hole for myself

babyinbelly · 15/10/2008 16:10

Ellieorollie- I only did one class before finding out I was pg so instructor was a bit concerned that it was a new form of exercise which you shouldn't start when pg rather than continuing after doing it previoously. She also said that after 16weeks some of the moves were a bit hard as you can't lay on your front very easily.

I agree that in 2nd trimester sex drive has increased. However DP is not keen so I have to go without! Dont mind too much tho.

babyinbelly · 15/10/2008 16:14

lol Emma Don't worry I think the same. Some of the conversations me and my girly friends used to have would make mumsnet look tame sometimes!

EllieorOllie · 15/10/2008 16:19

oh, fair enough babyinbelly, i see that that would be more of an issue. i guess some instructors maybe have more experience than others in teaching pregnant women as well.

emma, you do NOT sounds like a perve! i do see what you mean!! it's not good though when you can't drag your mind away from sex for more than 20 seconds. i seem to have developed an alarming crush on andy from cbeebies (i have a very limited pool of totty to choose from!)... he's very very tall and has hands like a gorilla. oh dear, must stop thinking about it!! la la la la la...

emma2617 · 15/10/2008 16:19

BIB Glad Im not the only one!! I am more frank with prople at work than poeple are here!! But then again I have no shame!!

I have 40 more mins left...then I have to sit and wait for DP for 45 mins...fortunately I bring a duvet and pillow for this time and will curl up on the back seat of my car!!

EllieorOllie · 15/10/2008 16:20

The bedtime hour will never be the same again...

emma2617 · 15/10/2008 16:22

ellie haha...how funny! You just have to work with what you've got!

babyinbelly · 15/10/2008 16:32

I've just had a sneaky peak on the 1st thread, which I missed.

Can't believe AUNTYSPAN got BFP on 27th june. Seems like ages ago! I found out begining of july. Couldn't bear to test too early!
Emma on the old list it says you are 21 but I thought you were 22? Did you have a birthday or am I wrong?

Ellie which one is Andy? I saw one of the managers at work with his top of the other day and got a bit flustered! Sure I went bright red!

emma2617 · 15/10/2008 16:39

BIB I was 21 when I got pregnant...but then turned 22 on 1st August!!! It does seem like an age ago now!! I first went to see my doctor at the end of june...with all the test and ectopic worries I didnt get BFP until start of July though!

Boobz · 15/10/2008 16:55

Fruity - did you get your homebirth stuff sorted with St George's in the end?

Evenin' All! (Bendy knees)

Well, I have finally booked my 21 week scan at a lovely cost of 150pounds (sorry my pound sign is not working) So that's on Monday eve, which is quite nice as we are all off next week and mum will babysit the kids. Wonder if we could go see a movie after....?? Maybe that's pushing it! So I'm looking forward to it, but just hoping obviously that everything is ok.

Congrats to babbintot on the news! We might be the same - 3 girls, but I have sneaky suspicion that this one is blue.

MKG - You poor thing! I hope you're wee boy is better and that you get a good sleep!

twocutedarlings · 15/10/2008 19:01

babbintot

Congrats!! another girl !!

Im in S yorks too! Daisy is a lovely name, both my girls have flower names .

MKG · 15/10/2008 19:20

I'm very about all the girls, maybe I'll come with my own news on Tuesday.

ds1 has taken to calling my bump Zoe Jone after a baby at church, so I've decided it's best to find out so we can name the baby and prepare the boys for it.

I'm feeling better today. We haven't done a thing, and we are all in better spirits. Ds2 is feeling better, he just wants his cast off so he can resume causing trouble all the time. He's been sleeping a lot though, but luckily hasn't required any tylenol or motrin since the hospital, so I conclude that he's on the mend.

It's so nice and warm here. I can't believe it. Must go outside at some point today.

TitaMenina · 15/10/2008 22:05

So interesting to hear how everyone will be coping with child care. I haven't even done the calculations on what will be left of my salary after paying childcare -- that's me playing ostrich!

We went to see another nursery last night this one would have been super convenient, as it's just a 5-minute walk from home but I have to say I didn?t have a great feeling about it. The woman seemed kind of dismissive, didn?t give us any documentation, and seemed less than enthusiastic when I asked her if I could come back another day when the crèche was actually in session (when we got there all but two kids had been picked up) to get a better sense of the interaction between children and caretakers. Finally she said, well, if you really want to, I guess you can come next Thursday (!). So we may have to pass on that one, as convenient as it is.

So jealous of people who already know what they're having! We have to wait until Nov. 18 for the 22-wk scan, which seems like an eternity.

lollipopz · 16/10/2008 08:44

Hey all thanks for thw well wishes DD1 seems ro be carrying on like the little soldier she is, still amazed by her!
Any way got dd 2's birthday party tomorrow just after the funeral so that will hopefully cheer everyone up! Just hope I can hold it together with all my preggy emotions they are bad enough at the best of times
So today comprises of blowing up balloons and making food! Hence the early start before the dcs are up!
So jealous you are all getting 20 week scans I wont be getting one have to pay for it if I want it did with ds and found out the sex was a lovely feeling helped get used to the idea of a boy after 2 pink infact he's neafly 2 and I am still getting used ro having a boy! This one will remain a surprise as requested by dh but I dont really mind as we have blue and pink already so wont be too much of a shock! FWIW I really have a strong suspision its a wee girl so will be fun to see if I think the same all the way through and if I am right in the end!
Re childcare I work evenings and weekends so am lucky we dont need to shell out a fortune would not be cost effective at all looked into it when dd2 started school but the after school care was shockingly high! So I will just need to fInd another part time job after my redundancy which hopefully wont be until dec 09!
L xx

Morning everyone.

Hugs to your dd1 lollopopz.

I think I am going to have to go back to work fulltime after this bean is born - I'm currently working 4 days a week and this is my day off. With dd I fully intended to but once she was born the thought of her being in nursery all week horrified me - think I was a bit pfb as I definitely don't find it horrifying now and she seems to love it!

I am lucky in that my mum and dad look after her one day a week - but they are not getting any younger so I am not sure how long that will last with 2.

If it hadn't been for the bl**dy recession our ISA's might actually have been worth something and would have paid the mortgage while I'm off (I go from a lawyer's salary to statutory maternity pay which hits us hard on the mortgage front - and there isn't even any point in trying to sell our house and downsize because nobody is buying......aaaagggghhh - rant over)

Dd's nurery is quite small - I went to see about 6 and picked the one that had the best "feel". It hasn't been without problems, but the girls seem to genuinely like dd and she likes them. I provide nappies and tea and the nursery provide wipes, snacks and lunch. But it's £520 for 3 days a week! Yikes!

Jollyjoanne - girls are lovely. We don't mind if we have another dd (though it woudl be lovely if the bean were blue...........maybe we'll find out at the 20 week scan........!)

corgikelly · 16/10/2008 11:33

Errr...has anyone else's brain turned to complete mush?

I just went to the loo, and stood absentmindedly flicking the light switch on and off at least four times while wondering why the toilet wasn't flushing.

This does not bode well.

LaMonsterWeaselwolf · 16/10/2008 11:38

I left my keys in the front door for four hours on monday. Thankfully nobody stole them!!

kat80 · 16/10/2008 12:43

Hi all, glad to hear that everyone is doing well. It has literally taken me days to catch up on everyones news, trying to sneak a peak at work is difficult and by the time i get home after picking up the kiddies and making dinner, i am far too tired to think about going on the PC! I seriously think if our page was a book, it would be a best seller!!!!!
I have eventually told work about me being preggars and they are fine! so no more trying to hide the fact that i am getting fatter by the day!! I dont have my 20 week scan till nov6th (think i'll be around 22wks)and have not yet decided whether or not to find out the sex! i think i'll leave it up to the other half! anyway, hopefully now that i have caught up on everyones news i should be able to post far more often!! Take care everyone x

jollyjoanne · 16/10/2008 12:53

Yep, I managed to poor my fruit juice on my cereal and milk in the glass before realising a week or so back. I am hoping this dozyness isn't going to last until March!

AmyO · 16/10/2008 13:44

LOL at all the pregnancy brains out there! I called my brother the other day, forgot who I was calling as he picked up and introduced myself name and surname before asking who he was. Needless to say he thinks I've gone bonkers.

MKG · 16/10/2008 14:00

At work the other day I was carrying my water bottle, and was walking around asking if anyone knew where my waterbottle was. Not my most brilliant moment.

livismum · 16/10/2008 14:07

I was generally quite ditsy anyway but now its verging on ridiclious (sorry not great at spelling either!) Ive tried using the wrong car keys, twice! but the worst is not being able to engage brain to mouth repeatedly i find myself litterally not being able to get my words out, bit of a pain when trying to tell SIL which way to get somewhere in the car!

As for our page being a bestseller i think it could be a good aid for sex education lessons at schools! Frighten them to death ha ha
