Its funny. I brought a pair of jeans at the same time as the trousers in exactly the same size and they were too big and too long!Didn't understand that.

thefearlessfreak I have been avoiding Ikea for the fear that I will spend too much money. The weird thing is everything I buy from there is USEFUL! I never end up with a load of junk. The downside of this is that it all slots into the everyday lifestyle and I don't ever feel like I spashed out and treated myself!

I also need a new bed for DS.

I have got some mat jeans from Seraphine but they are still a bit big - still in my most generous-cut usual clotthes...just!

just had a bath and felt lots of squirming round (from the outside!) - am feeling well ropey with this cold though, a friend has picked up dd from school and ds has been SO good, playing Lego and coming in bath with me for a soak!

I am definitely porky looking but not looking pregnant in any way. Can still do all my clothes up.

Can't stop eating all the time. I mean ALL the time. I will have a massive supper at 7:00 (like shepherd's pie with veg and then pudding) and then want to eat cheese on toast at 9:00. And I do, as well. I am going to be huge, eventually.

I can't stop eating either - and I really don't think its just an excuse (). i lost loads of weight before I got pg and fear it is all creeping back on... Aaahh well !!

Dinny - glad the squirming returned. MY movements come and go - some days more than others. Don't they say its not until you get well into the 20's weeks you need ot be concerned about lack of movement ??

Sling people - I did a thread here if anyone wants a look - lots of good advice I think. The closer seems to be coming out as most recommended.

CaptainK - I had a friend who had the premaxx and she didn't really use it much. Just popped to nursery to pick up her other child and that was it I think so don't think it was highly rated there either. On the anaemia front I think they would have to do a blood test but would have thought they would if you are concerned...

I've still not been added to the list I'm 27, live in Surrey and this is baby number one, due on 19th March.
I've still not bought any baby things yet, I don;t think I will until after Christmas, I'm still too worried that things will go wrong. Beginning t collect hand me dwns though-We've been given a pram, but I'm not sure if we'll use it much, as we live in a first floor flat and I think it'll be a bit of a bugger to get out and put away again every day. I like the idea of a sling, and will get ne, but again I don't know how much it'll be used.

Captain - Your midwife will check your iron levels when she takes your bloods, but you can specifically ask her to check when you want so that you don't have to wait weeks til your next appt, incase you do need iron tabs. I have to keep an eye on mine generally and esp while preg but so far this time I'm pretty good through diet. It's low platelettes that are my main prob as I seem to be naturally low.

I'm like the rest of you who are eating tonnes - two breakfasts, two lunches, (between 6.30am - 2pm!) snacks, dinner, a little more later....and then sometimes just as I'm going to bed...

Am so tired today - was up 7 times with DD2 last night. 4 times the night before and 4 times the night before that. Nightmare.

Thanks for adding me to the list, I haven´t been joining in much but have enjoyed reading and catching up with everyone´s news ..
My bump starts off really small when I wake up, I feel super active and hardly pregnant at all in the mornings .. but by evening I feel and look like I´m 7 months gone.
Anyone else feel a lot of pressure down below when standing or walking for a while, i.e. as if the baby or something is about to fall out? Remember feeling like that towards the end in my last pregnancy, but not this early.

Wow! I can't believe there is so many people joining the thread still. Good morning and welcome to you all!

I was laying/lieing??? on my front last night and the baby went mad. Thought it might settle after a few minutes and put up with being squished but 10minutes later I couldn't put up with the squirming and gave up sleeping on my front. I remember sleeping on front at at least 7months pg with DS but doesn't look like I will be allowed this time!

Movements the rest of time are still quite infrequent.

Had a nice supsrise when I looked at calander this morning. Though scan was in 2 and half weeks but actually is next thursday! Can't believe its come round so quick.

I woke up this morning and was all excited about the size of my belly...but it soon deflated!! As I keep turning onto my back once asleep I think everything moves upwards so I look big, but stand up and give gravity 5 mins and it all gone!!

Is anyone else going to one of The Baby Shows? I have just booked my tickets for Manchester in November...we are going to buy everything online as it is usually cheaper...so it seems like a good place to go and try everything out so we know what we are buying!!

How many of you have felt the baby? I am 17 weeks on Thursday and haven't felt a thing yet. First baby though, so maybe I don't know what to "feel" out for? Any other first timers out there who haven't felt anything yet?

I have felt things (at 16wks now) - both rolling and bubbles. The bubbles are very recognisable!!

I get the impression that people feel these things at different times and in different ways though, so I wouldn't worry.

I have eaten a ginormous amount of Quavers today. I am refusing to feel bad.

Is anyone else having trouble keeping their hormones under control?! My friend at work has just got a new job, a promotion, and obviously I am happy for her. But I just want to cry...I am so sad she will be leaving and am selfishly wondering how I will get on without her as my manager who I was close to has also been promoted recently...now ther will be no-one left who I am good friends with is that selfish or just me being a hormonal cow?!

I've felt flutters and gentle pops for about a week (16+3 today), it's my first. But I know my placenta is at the back and when it is apparently you tend to feel movement earlier.

I am SO hormonal, have just watched Lion, Wicth & Wardrobe and have blubbed eyes out (surreptitiously!)

dinny I have given up on trying to be discreet!! Girl at work sent email with what kids in america had said love was...just burst into tears!!! And last night I cried at Traffic cops as there was a crash and people dies...poor DP looked like he had had nipple leakage...the tears rolled down my face and onto his chest!! So funny once I cheered up!

Ooh...I almost forgot!! DP has found a way to bring me out of my foul moods...or cheer me up after a crying session! Does anyone know those adverts for sweets for the natural ompany or something like that anyway!! He just yells "bring on the trumpets" from that advert and I just cant help but laugh!
