Must agree with the all the way over the bumps jeans being the best. they are just so comfy and wonderful. I have them on right now, and I barely have a bump. The jeans are stretchy and feel so nice. Oh lovely.

My sister called last night to say congratulations and that was it. I told her she was jealous that I was going to have 3 under 4 and she laughed and said she'd shoot herself.

emma2617 · 03/10/2008 17:12

aunty 8 CANS OF COKE?! Woohoo...Iwould be happy with coke everyday, just the 1 can...I'm happy now!!

With regards movements ( sorry that's a bit formal, only just got out of work!) I am feeling proper prodding sensations...only every other day or so, is that baby or am I just imagining it?!

Also...I may now have to invest in some over the bump jeans as they just sound too good to be true!!

Slickbird · 03/10/2008 21:50

I can concur that I have 'bump jeans' on and they truely rock!

I have just spent two and a half hours at the hospital with my ill bambino as on top of the sickness she has an infected scratch on her leg and it seemed to be getting worse and I was slightly worried that it would lead to septicemia - I don't normally panic over things like that but I did actually know a grown man who got it from a scratch on his leg that he didn't clean at the time and nearly died! so with a baby, I didn't want to take any chances. She was really good and patient while she was waiting as it was way past her bedtime bless her, but they checked her over, gave her the all clear and some cream to take home. Phew. Better safe than sorry with babies I always think.

Anyway, my kicks from bambino junior are getting really strong and it's great as I am enjoying that more this time round. With the other two, to start with I was a little freaked out, but as I went through all this last year, I'm well used to it!!

Aunty - You're still tapdancing?? I'm impressed! tapfarting

emma2617 · 03/10/2008 22:25

slickbird glad baby is okay...I'm a well known panicker so I would have been there in a shot!!

Well I am regressing, I thought I was over the whole fretting baby wasn't well, but tonight its all back!! I got back from work to find a letter with my appointment for 20 week scan and again I'm thinking that we are gonna get there and baby will have stopped growing or that they find something wrong with it I feel such a twit!!

On the upside, scan is on 17th so less than 2 weeks to wait!!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Slickbird · 03/10/2008 22:31

Emma - I'm sure your baby will be fine. It's normal to think these things when you've read and heard about other people's experiences, but mostly babies grow fine - really quite a miracle when you look around and see how many people there are with no disabilities! I'm always amazed at how clever we humans are. (If only we weren't so stupid the rest of the time....) At least you are getting another scan. I'll have to pay for one if we want one.

Littlemisskiwi · 04/10/2008 01:40

Hey everyone

I've just got up to speed with where you are all at. Great news on the scan results...

Is anyone else feeling really exhausted and just a bit overwhelmed and c**p? I can't stop crying today and feel useless for being so ill with one thing after another...

Sorry for bringing the thread down

lolianja · 04/10/2008 09:32

1 week and 2 days until I'm exactly halfway through, and my 20 week scan is 4 days after that. I remain permanently stunned at how quickly this pregnancy is going. It feels like a week or two since I was faffing around in the pee-stick aisle at the chemist's.

Still not showing. Just looks like a tiny bit of bloating, my tummy's still flat, I'm still in my size 8 clothes (promise I'm not boasting ladies) and I'm so of everybody that's in bump jeans and getting comments in the street. At this rate I won't be getting sacrificed seats on the bus until I'm eight-and-a-half months gone!

@Littlemisskiwi - I was feeling like that around the 8/9 week mark. I was feeling asleep upright eating my dinner and moping about the place like a wet weekend. You're not bringing the thread down at all, I'm positive that it's absolutely normal. Hug to you.

lolianja · 04/10/2008 09:33

Sorry, "feeling asleep" should read "falling asleep"!

Slickbird · 04/10/2008 11:11

God yeah, I've had plenty of teary moments of being sick and tired of being sick and tired and one constant cold for three months. And that's on top of the constant illness I had from the start of the year thanks to DD2! I feel like I've been ill all year!!

I, however, look six months pregnant as this is my third - I guess the muscles aren't what they used to be!!

Mandy73 · 04/10/2008 18:35

Littlemisskiwi go easy on yourself. Ups and downs, eh? Sending you hugs.

Right, yesterday I was in my size 10 clothes looking perhaps a bit bloated at worst.
Today I look (and feel) 7 months pregnant. Massive bump. DH is in shock but not as much as me. Yippee! Read somewhere the thick round ligaments around the womb have a helluva growth spurt about now and so it seems.

Hope everyone has a good w/e.

PS: Anyone else feeling a bit woozy & tempted to hit the iron supplements? Our blood volume has doubled by now y'know.

emma2617 · 04/10/2008 19:07

Mandy when is this growth spurt meant to happen? I really want to wake up with a big bump!!

MKG · 04/10/2008 19:21

I remember being 6 months pregnant with ds1 going to sleep fitting in my regular clothes and waking up enormous. It was the weirdest thing ever.

I'm happy I have a shepherd's pie in the refrigerator ready to put in the oven when it's time for dinner and a pie cooling, and it's not quite 3pm here. I am so ahead of the game today I'm cool.

MKG · 04/10/2008 19:27

On a positive note, I was talking with my mom on the phone last night, and she asked me who things were (we talk everyday, so not much changes) I said "you know me. . .boring". She said "what's not be exciting, you have to boys and are expecting another baby, I don't call that boring".

So I think she's on board with having another grand-baby to spoil.

Mandy73 · 04/10/2008 19:30

emma2617 growth spurt is meant to be happening now & in the next few weeks - and belive me it has - check out my profile (pic) - I've been brave .

MKG that's really nice.

MKG · 04/10/2008 19:35

Mandy your profile isn't attached to you.

Is anyone else sleeping like it's their only job? All this week I've been asleep before 9pm, the good thing is when I wake up I'm full of energy. Last night I passed out on the couch as soon as I got home from work.

Mandy73 · 04/10/2008 19:40

Mandy your profile isn't attached to you.
V strange. Will investigate.

Thefearlessfreak

Yes i feel cr*p, but i have manflu a cold. And I'm not sleeping to well falling asleep downstairs but by the time get up to bed i toss and turn for hours.

Thank god for sky+, i am having to record things after 9pm as i keep missing the end. The only night i managed to stay awake was when i was watching 'dana the 8yr annoric'.

laweaselmys · 04/10/2008 21:27

With all the clumsyness etc isn't anybody suddenly analysing their house and getting afraid...

We have really awkward narrow stairs (original feature as is an old house and can't be got rid off) and I keep slipping on them. I haven't properly fallen yet but DP has and got pretty beaten up. Feeling a bit vulnerable for the first time, even though it's only the bloomin' stairs!!

Slickbird · 04/10/2008 21:54

The Fearless My sleep is pretty crap with a restless 1 year old, a snoring husband, ridiculously easy-to-fill bladder, weird dreams, not being able to lie on my front..... Still, always been a rubbish sleeper so I just carry on on auto-pilot! Still, I know what you mean about the dishes! Me and DH are going to get ourselves a dishwasher at xmas instead of presents! We used to have one and know what a difference it can make to our life!!!

Law I know what you mean about feeing bit vulnerable, I keep find myself tripping over random bits of crap being left around the house from having two kids. Well, when I say crap, I don't mean actual crap... but yes, I keep thinking I'll do myself a serious injury at this rate!!

Slickbird · 04/10/2008 21:58

Meep - If your are lurking, how you doing? Still thinking of you. When is your CVS?

emma2617 · 04/10/2008 22:07

laweasel I too am feeling especially vulnerable, I am normally clumsy and am used to falling, but the thought of falling now scars the crap out of me!!

I cracked today...bought some baby clothes! It was half price for a pack of 3 sleepsuits, 3 bodysuits, 2 bins, a hat and a pair of mittens...all this for only £12! So I got a pack for newborn, 0-3 months and 3-6 months!! Hope I havent jinxed myself, just couldn't resist!!
We said we would wait until after 20 week scan, oh well!!

Slickbird · 04/10/2008 23:07

You go for it Emma! Positivity is a good thing! Oh. better go, 1 year old is crying. Again. Bless her.

meep · 05/10/2008 09:53

Morning all - slickbird - I am still lurking

Doing okay - had a big cry on Friday - think it was just pressure of work and realising that amnio day is getting closer (it's on Wednesday - should get results the Monday after). So I spent all day Saturday in work to clear my deask as I am only in the office for one day next week so that I can just relax at home after the amnio.

Apart from that my bump is huge and very wriggly! People at work must have noticed (or they just think I've eaten too many cakes!).

I am also in bed by about 9pm - then awake around 3/4am for a pee - then I toss and turn (and get wriggles from the bean) for a couple of hours until I fall asleep again - just in time for my dd to wake up!

fearless and littlemisskiwi - I get overwhelmed by things all the time. The best thing I did after dd was born was to get a cleaning lady (who also does ironing) - I worship her - it has made my life so much easier. Dishwashers are fab - but I now get overwhelmed at the thought of having to empty it!

mandy - you need to make your profile public - we want to see the bump!

emma - so far I have resisted buying baby clothes - but I have been hanging around the double buggy section of Mothercare!
