Still waiting for them to ring. God that was a shock. Just went to the loo and there was loads of blood.

I'm terrified.

dinkystinky · 23/09/2008 15:47

It could be for any number of reasons Markstretch and hopefully is just a mysterious bleed like MissNorty had a week or so back - just hold on out for your midwife to call you back and then am sure she'll tell you to come to the hospital to get it checked out and put your mind at rest. Will keep my fingers crossed that all is ok. Is someone with you?

PinkTulips · 23/09/2008 15:52

markstretch, stupid question but are you positive it's coming from your fanjo and not your bum?

one of the women on my last ante natal thread worried herself sick and it turned out it was an anal fissure bleeding and nothing to do with baby.

hope all is ok either way, at least you know the little man was ok a few hours ago so it's probably nothing serious

{{{{{hugs}}}}}

congrats on it being a boy btw, they're so cuddly and fun. nappy changes are easyier really as there's no panic about poo getting in unfortunate places, you can just wipe away. just be wary of pee fountains

TinkerBellesMum · 23/09/2008 15:52

Oh MS, I hope everything is OK I'm feeling quite sad for you, not cause I think there is something wrong just knowing how you must be feeling. Take some comfort from having had a scan today, if there was something to see they would have and at least you know your son is healthy.

idontbelieveit · 23/09/2008 15:57

Markstretch, hope everything's ok. Lovely to hear you're having a boy. Thinking of you.

onwardandupward · 23/09/2008 16:46

Thinking of you markstretch

MarkStretch · 23/09/2008 16:52

Thanks everyone. Midwife rang and I'm on my way into hospital now so they can check me out and give me the anti-d jabs.

Will try and check in later.

Thanks for all being there.

Hope all is OK Markstretch - I DO know how you feel....was there on Sunday
and its pretty scary.

Thinking of you x

mslucy · 23/09/2008 17:05

oh Markstretch hope you're ok.
keeping absolutely everything crossed.
being pg is so damn scary.

mrsy · 23/09/2008 17:26

Hey MS - just wanted to say i'm thinking of you. i had sporadic bleeds for the first 11 weeks, and i'm still sort of waiting for them to come back... mslucy i agree. it's scary...

herbgarden · 23/09/2008 18:17

MS - hope all is ok - no doubt you'll check in later to tell us all what's happened.....

winemakesmummyclever · 23/09/2008 18:18

MS - I know just how worried you are feeling right now. Ask as many questions and get the answers that you need right as soon as possible. There is nothing worse than wondering what has been going on - your mind goes into overdrive. Before dinner, I saw that you were waiting for the mw to call back and just popped on to shout at you to just go straight to the ED. So very glad you are on your way in to get things checked out. Hopefully it will be just a random thing and it will settle down. Have everything crossed for you x.

lardybump · 23/09/2008 18:20

Hope all is well MS I am thinking of you.

Evening to everyone else hope you are all well.

I went to the dentist today and I have an abscess [sp?} and am on antibiotics. If they don?t clear it all up then I am going to lose the tooth (which will be a pain as it is my main molar on the bottom. Still at least the pain should be gone by tomorrow (cant start antibiotics till tonight as have to be taken on an empty stomach)!!!

I cried when I left the dentist because I thought that there would be a risk to baby with the antibiotics but chemist said no they are safe with no known dangers (still not 100% reassured or relieved...)

TinkerBellesMum · 23/09/2008 18:55

lardy, I've had antibiotics in both my last two pregnancies, I had real trouble with my wisdom teeth when I was pregnant. It sounds horrible but I was glad when Lily-Hope was botn that I could have something done about them! I react to the local (I'm scarred from last time they tried) so they had to wait till I wasn't pregnant to sedate me.

lardybump · 23/09/2008 19:02

That sounds nasty TBM lets hope you dont need any this time around.

TinkerBellesMum · 23/09/2008 19:12

They came out after Lily-Hope was born! I kept them because I couldn't believe how badly damaged they were from being so impacted. I don't think anyone believed how much pain I was in, I felt like I'd been punched in the face at times and people said it looked like it too.

TinkerBellesMum · 23/09/2008 19:13

botn??? born of course!

spottyshoes · 23/09/2008 19:37

MS hope you've been seen by now and everything is ok with you and your son! I had a random bleed at 18 weeks last time with no cause. Hope you get some answers.

Congratulations btw!!! little boys are mayhem cool

oooggs · 23/09/2008 20:02

Markstretch - thinking of you my lovely - my anti d is in a couple of weeks - posh blood little boys are lovely - try not to worry - easier said than done

TinkerBellesMum · 23/09/2008 21:48

Um... oh dear?

Tink's not well and still up. I was trying to settle her on my lap and was getting uncomfortable so told her to go and lie on the sofa. I tried to help her down but couldn't move! I feel like someone has put their hands into my dimples and pulled them apart! I can't move from my waist down, moving other than my arms hurts. Tink is stressing because I can't pick her up and her dad is still at work! I called the first mobile number in my landline's memory cause my mobile is dead. It's Mum's. She's tried calling him but he's not answering, so my dad is on his way over to try and find him.

I'm at an angle to the PC and having to type over my shoulder.

We need a crying emote.

swampster · 23/09/2008 22:19

and are the closest we get. How about [ouch]?

Hope the cavalry arrives soon.

onwardandupward · 23/09/2008 22:45

Ooooh, you are in the wars! You poor love. Hope TBD is there by now

MarkStretch · 23/09/2008 23:08

Hello all.

I am back.

The good news is my baby is ok. We got into the hospital and waited 3 hours to see a Dr. Unfortunately the one we were due to see was called to theatres for an emergency so we had to wait for another.

Dr lady was lovely and very reassuring. They did an internal (wince) and said the bleeding is coming from my cervix but not from the womb. They said my cervix was still firmly shut (phew) and that the bleeding was probably coming from a cervical erosion. (I have had these before when not pg and had them treated several times but it seems my hormones have brought them back to life)

My lovely friend looked after dd for us but when we left the hospital at 10pm she was still up so we picked her up on the way home and I have just shovelled a cheeseburger into my face.

Unfortunately they didn't have the anti-d ready so I have to go back in at 8am tomorrow for my jab. [bleary eyed emoticon}

Thank you all for worrying about me! I've off to bed now, think I will give dd and I a day off work and school tomorrow to recover.

TinkerBellesMum · 24/09/2008 00:55

Glad to hear you're ok MarkStretch.

I've just got back from Triage. TBD didn't get in till 10:30, my dad had to break in I told TBD that I was ok and it wasn't needed, but I'm glad I had the extra help with Tink, she soon had Grandad reading her "Choo-Choo" (Thomas) comic to her. They're happy there's nothing serious going on so have let me home, I'm hoping this gives me some leverage on Friday to go on crutches. Funnily enough it's three years to the day that I had the fall that started this all off.

KazzaL · 24/09/2008 08:55

Glad you're both Ok this morning - went to bed a bit worried.

I had bad SPD last time and now my bump has suddenly appeared over the last 10 days, the pain's really started with this one - managed to get an appt with my physio for friday, so I guess this be the start of weekly appts for me with her.

It does seem strange that with bodies that have developed through millenia of evolution that our backs and joints struggle to cope with being pg - how did women cope even 50 years ago before physios?
