Thought we'd go with twinklytoes suggestion since she's gone and got herself admitted to hospital in a desperate bid for attention .

Have left everyone on the stats for now, but will do another cull of deserters soon....

Morning again ladies i am now up out of bed again it is so strange to hear everyones comments as we are all feeling the same. It is a massiive struggle to get out of bed and even worse is to get up off the sofa especially from the lying down position.

wtap i think that dreaming is also very common at this stage although mine do tend to be about labour or birth not scafolding or missing body parts have you been watching wire in the bloo?

Ronshar good news that everything is ok and that you shot out of that hospital like a rocket I also am having a homebirth and they will send someone to me shortage or not they can get the manager out of bed because there is no way I am going into hospital, I hope.

Mw visiting me tomorrow for check up really should rest today as hands and feet swelled up at the weekend because of the hot weatherso need to keep bp down.

have a lovely day

sambrads · 22/09/2008 10:54

myjob congrats thats such a lovely name
cant believe thats allthe time it took to have your baby bet you are still in shock

rosebury · 22/09/2008 10:56

wow wow wow myjob that is fantastic news welcome to baby naomi are you sure you where not dreaming that is great news congratulations.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/09/2008 10:59

Huge congratulations .

Myjob, that is fantastic news. Naomi is a beautiful name. A nice weight too, I bet that didnt hurt too much. Glad it all went so well.

Fingers crossed for the rest of us.

Sambrads. I am really feeling for you. It sounds like you are beginning to have a bit of a panic. It will all work itself out, these things do. You might find that you go into labour in the night and it all happens so fast that you wont need to worry about childcare, parking or any of that rubbish. Just get some old towels put by just in case (and your DH on standby).

4andnotout, have you tried calpol and Ibuprofen together or at staggered times. The combination is usually a winner in my house. Also helps them to get some sleep, which is also a winner in my house

blinking heck.....!!! These babies are coming early

Congrats myjob so pleased all went well and you are back home already, must have been a shock and also sounds abit of an 'ouch' with hand by her head! Glad she is well though and you are recovering. Lovely name aswell.

I hope I have congratulated you all but the thread is moving too fast so cant keep up!!! here goes again:
Congrats to loulou iuseantiageing twinkly ksal myjob just in case I had forgotten anyone!!

Can we when having babies have a birth announcement big heading then I can scan back and see them??? Nice big bold headings .

I am suffering with a bad back. I cant even bend down to and lift my mattress to tuck my sheet back in that I somehow managed to comnpletley untuck last night with my wriggling to get comfy! Been polishing DDs bedroom this morn and struggled getting off the floor!!! Great, not what I need!!! Is back ache a symptom or a sign??? DH getting concerned!!!! I had a mass break out in spots round my chin yesterday (which I got when I had dd) so am now panicking but also thinking that it wont be too bad if baby arrives. Just dont want to be waddling about with back pan for next 4 weeks!

jenwa · 22/09/2008 13:00

Am thinking accessorize may be having her little twins now too. She had a stretch and sweep last week and not been back on here!!! Fingers crossed if she is that all going well.

ajm200 · 22/09/2008 14:55

Ronshar Check out the HB thread. Someone on there has managed to get their NHS trust to employ an independant midwife (on the NHS)to cover her homebirth due to a lack of MWs.

ajm200 · 22/09/2008 14:59

Just brought the eggs in from the henhouse. Was struggling to carry them all so rather than make two trips I stuck some in the back pockets of my jeans. Came in, sat down to take my shoes off and crunch..

DS though it was very funny - laughing, running on the spot and saying hegg heggs broked, hegg hegg broked..

YumMum22 · 22/09/2008 15:10

Hi everyone..posted a while back and then stopped as didnt want to depress anyone about my being refused a home birth trauma...anyway now all sorted my trust has decided to pay for an independant midwife to take over care which they have paid for, so i am going to be having my home water birth soon hopefully.

i am 37weeks today due on the 13th. surprised to see october babies already and congratulations to them. hope everyone is doing great..off to catch up on 33pages of post!

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 22/09/2008 16:01

congrats myjob she sounds gorgeous (aside from ripping you up, but hey a short labour at least!)

not been on in ages and taken me aaaaaaaages to scan through all the posts - a new thread before october i reckon!

hae definately agreed to doing a full on workshop week next week, 10am-6pm everyday at sadlers wells (t'other side of london to me) when should be my 1st official week of maternity leave and will be 37 weeks...a bit mental but hey ho, wishes for my baby NOT to be early please!

Congratulations myjob!!!!!!!! yeah!!! What a beautiful name I still want to keep my baby in for 3 more weeks. I thought about giving birth (for real...) for the first time today and cried.

ronshar · 22/09/2008 19:47

Accessorisequeen has induction booked for her due date of 1st Oct. I was lurking about and found her post from this afternoon. I do hope she doesnt mind us keeping an eye on her

star6 · 22/09/2008 19:50

I thought if you have twins you have to give birth early? I guess that is wrong I heard today from a colleague that when she gave birth (15 years ago!) that there was a woman there with twins and they were born at 8lbs and 7lbs!!!! at how heavy that must feel!

hedgepig · 22/09/2008 20:16

Star I think in general twin pregnancy have more complications and so tend to deliver earlier but you can go to term. Blooming heck those were big babies

bethoo · 22/09/2008 20:39

i jsut know i am going to be the one who is 2 weeks late and be suffering for the next month!!! am so impatient now esp as myjob was due day before me!
Congrats myjob

star6 · 22/09/2008 20:45

I'll take those 2 weeks

Alexa808 · 23/09/2008 01:07

Congratulations myjob! What a beautiful name. She was quick wasn't she? So glad it went well for you.

ajm: nice one

Babies seem to be coming early...hope mine stays in till the 2nd. Am booked into CS for Op on cyst, too. Don't want to be cut twice...

sambrads · 23/09/2008 08:18

morning ladies

alexa i would love to last until saturday night that way i get all birthdays and parties over with

so how is everyone today was up all night with a sore back think this little one is on a nerve as the pains are shooting down my legs think it could be my siatica back
(by the way i cant spell it )

ajm200 · 23/09/2008 08:33

Sambrads you shouldn't jinx yourself by planning anything. Babies usually arrive at the perfect time to mess up any plans.. Fingers crossed that baby stays put until next week for you.

I was up all night too.. but for different reasons. Running on empty this am. Sorry you are suffering still. Have you tried curaheat patches for your back. They really helped me a few weeks ago when baby was back to back and driving my SPD mad.

I was just uncomfortable and couldn't settle, plus both DH and DS are noisy sleepers so sat up making a little cardigan for DD when she arrives. Trouble is it's not as small as I thought so will have to be put away until the spring. I'll have to make another one over the next few days for the hospital bag.

07mumstheword · 23/09/2008 08:56

Many congratulations to Ksal and Myjobismum both quick labours and safe arrivals

I have been feeling funny the last few days can't seem to get motivated and so tired yet loads to do! I haven't even been on MN since Saturday and it's not like that takes much effort Mind you at 9pm last night had an energy surge and started cleaning kitchen cupboards am I nesting? I'd like baby to hang on in there a couple more weeks yet.
