Thought we'd go with twinklytoes suggestion since she's gone and got herself admitted to hospital in a desperate bid for attention .

Have left everyone on the stats for now, but will do another cull of deserters soon....

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
4andnotout · 21/09/2008 20:31

Argh! I ate cod and chips from my favorite chippy and thought the fish wasn't up to standard but it has really TMI now i have the runs and stomach cramps!

hedgepig · 21/09/2008 20:58

4andnotout - poor you hope it is just a quick episode.
AJM - maybe you MIL fancies delivering the baby her self . Some people just don't have the good sense they were born with.
My scan on thurs confirmed I have a haed down baby and I still have amniotic fluid so that was fantastic news (I'm so paranoid after last time). I have even packed a hosp bag this morning, i thought it was about time at 38 weeks. I'm getting bored of waiting now.

Ekka · 21/09/2008 22:00

Just a quick post to say congratulations to all the 'new' mums! Can't believe October babies are being born already - it does make it seem so much more real!

Got to go to bed as dd has been waking up for 3+ hrs every night for the last few nights and I'm absolutely shattered. How on earth are we going to cope with two of them waking up in the night?!?!

4andnotout · 21/09/2008 22:04

EKKA i know exatcly how you feel, dd3 was 1 yesterday and still wakes every 2 hours through the night, im hoping that the fact that im up and down all night now will mean it's not such a shock with the new arrival!

emkay · 21/09/2008 23:21

Thank you Ekka and 4andnotout for sharing... DD was up three times last night and then had a massive tantrum over getting out of the bath this evening - it just feels better knowing that I'm not the only one wondering how this is all going to pan out with a newborn baby added to the equation!

sorry ladies for the repeated posts but I have been having real trouble getting this thing to change pages or follow any of my requests very frustrating. I have only cought up with one page so far as the system would not let me look at others it is like watching a soap in the wrong order and trying to find out what the hell has happened.

be back again soon I hope.

star6 · 22/09/2008 05:55

Ha ha Rosebury!! You're just trying to get us closer to a shiny new thread before too many more babies are born .

I hope everyone slept well. As well as you can at this stage! I keep having dreams that I wake up and my bump is gone!

I woke up to DH's popcorn snack dishes on the coffee table still... I REALLY want to leave it here so that he can see that these things don't just pick themselves up... but having to physically restrain myself. Considering... is it worth the stress all day, knowing that it will probably sit out all day while I'm at school? it's silly, but if things aren't clean and perfect before I leave in the morning, it causes a load of stress for me throughout the day... oh goodness, I know, I'm in for it when baby gets here!!!

rosebury · 22/09/2008 06:10

I am back having cought up on everything how fantastic to have all these babies arriving congratulations to you all and big cuddles to your babies.

It is some consolation to hear that we are feeling the same things eg bhs and pressure with a wow to those who have actually had a show or broken waters i am very excited about my new baby and although it is number six I still have some fears of what will he be like and how will I cope with a newborn etc. We will all be fine and I am sure we will all make good mums good luck everyone I am off back to bed now.

WheresTheAuPair · 22/09/2008 07:50

Morning all! early starts here too. DS has rotten cold and i'm fighting it tho have really sore throat. Discovered that drinking aloe very slowly completely fixes it tho! Could barely speak this morning and feel fine now (til it wears off I guess!)Still, better to have cold now rather than a few weeks time!

Had wierd dream that I was helping take Canary Wharf down. Waitrose and all the shops were all closed and we then had to take the metal beams down from the outside of the tower- DH kept yelling at me to hold the rope steady but i could only hold it with my teeth as I had no hands(?!)

random.

ajm200 · 22/09/2008 08:03

Morning All. I hope Ronshar is back from the hospital and ok.. I wonder if she's had her baby?

4andnotout Hope you are feeling better soon.

ajm200 · 22/09/2008 08:05

Twinkly - Great news that Sam is coming home at last.

sambrads · 22/09/2008 08:47

morning ladies

have woke up this morning with determination to keep this baby in til sunday that way i will get my ds birthday over on thursday and his party on saturday

i have heard that if you have something to do or make an appointment you never see it but dont think that will be the case for me

ronshar what is happening ????

have been reading the september thread and its amazing all the babies arriving cant believe that all of us on the listwill be having babies its so sureal!!!

4andnotout · 22/09/2008 08:52

Morning bumps and babies!
Had a bad night with dd3, she is cutting her back teeth and was awake till 3 but screaming constant! Calpol isn't helping at all and she is snotty, dribbling and hacking like a 20 a day smoker!
Have my next scan tommorow to see how the fluid level is and what they are going to do about it so i am actually going to sort the baby clothes today just incase...not they are likely to do anything, i think as this is dd4 they are just going to give me rubber gloves and tell me to get on with it myself!

ronshar · 22/09/2008 09:12

Morning ladies.
Rosebury, I think that Tech starts messing about with the site in the middle of the night. Causes all kinds of grief

Well I went in last night. A bloody lovely midwife. I would be quite happy for her to deliver me! I got wired up to the old machine. It brought back loads of bad memories of DD1 birth. 20 hours on one of those things. Anyway, baby decides to do the fandango and make a fool of me. Midwife told me they are short of community midwives this week so I either need to hold on or make sure I am delivering within office hours.
This could be the end of my homebirth.
She did say something was definetly getting going but didnt want to examine me as it could tip me over into labour. I got off that bed faster that I have moved for a long time. It was at that point I realised I could perhaps wait a little while longer.
I could hear a poor lady in the room next door moaning away.

ajm200 · 22/09/2008 09:17

I've had BHs all night varying between 60 and 30 mins apart. I'd forgotten how awkward it is to get off the bed and to the loo with a tummy like rock.

DH is flapping already and has gone to work without his mobile this am... good job I have his bosses number.

Now am able to bring on a BH by simply standing up/walking so I guess baby is dropping some more.. Off to make a big pot of raspberry leaf tea, take some EPO and get -some- lots of exercise just in case.

ttfn

ajm200 · 22/09/2008 09:31

Ronshar, glad to hear you and baby are ok. Bad news about your homebirth though, you'll have to take it easy this week then.

Booking a homebirth seems to work like a catalyst for my body to start acting up.. Last time got PE two days after the birthing kit arrived. This time saw the MW for the booking on Sat and have had non-stop BHs every since.

I remember the noises on the delivery suite, they can be a bit daunting can't they but if you are lucky enough to hear a babies first cry too it's wonderful.

winemakesmummyclever · 22/09/2008 10:33

Ronnnie - oooh, it will be game on soon then? Hope all goes well for you and the lo gets here safe and sound (and preferably within office hours of course ).

Put your feet up and get some rest while you can, or alternatively, go nuts with the nesting .

sambrads · 22/09/2008 10:39

ronshar i hate being put on that machine its uncomfortable as my bum normally goes numb and my back is killing me as you are afraid to move incase you move the silly belts !! i wish thye would get some new belts as anyones i have had dont have much elastic let on them

glad your ok but was excited on hearing an other birth announcement

my baby is definately dropping as can feel her right on my bits think i am a bit scared that she will arrive soon .

my cousin phoned and told me as soon as i get pains go straight over as her second child was born in 15 mins

i have also been feeling a bit nervous about parking at the hospital .
there is 4 car parks . car parks 1 and 2 are always full and 3 and 4 are a good 20 minute walk away so how the hell are you ment to walk that far in labour.
of course i am thinking of the worst case and thats if dh is not home from work and i need to drop ds somewhere and drive over myself

its funny how you start thinking of random things when you get closer to due date .

8 DAYS TIL DUE DATE OH MY GOD ITS SINGLE FIGURES!!!!!!!!!!!!
