Some lovely people were asking questions and I never had a chance to reply.

This is my first, 8 weeks today, no news of scan date or anything yet but I live in a big city so im not to worried yet. Had 1 MC before but very early so im not to worried. The fact I feel awful all the time is a good sign apparently.

Me an DH are excited, its taken long enough. Just want to tell people now but will have to be patient i think.

mm1509 · 01/09/2008 12:59

Hi everyone,

Like the name for the new thread LMD !!!

Feeling quite queasy today and last night was in bed just after 9 0'clock, sooo tired. I guess these are the symptons kicking in, must be a good sign.

Second early scan booked for next Fri, fingers crossed we can see a hb this time.

Lets hear it for all the sticky beans!!!!

conkertree · 01/09/2008 12:59

well done littlemydancing - was thinking we needed one but couldnt think of a good name.

LittleMyDancing · 01/09/2008 13:53

Yes, we had a friend staying over the weekend and I am completely wiped out!

Got up this morning full of good intentions about cleaning the house though as it's an absolute pit - haven't felt like doing anything for weeks so maybe that's a good sign

Am wondering if DS' bad behaviour lately is down to him knowing something is up and us not telling him - last night I was putting him back to bed for the fourth time and he said 'What's that in your tummy Mummy' out of the blue - I've been asking him not to lean on my tummy since we found out (he has a habit of shoving his elbow into it, ouch!) and I wonder if he's made the connection with last time round. Trouble is, I don't want to tell him he's going to have a sibling and then for it all to go wrong like last time

Not sure what to do.

Hi Littlemy

I had told the children they were going to have a little brother or sister after they heard me and DH talking about it. Then I had a bleed and kind of turned the story round to 'well maybe we'll have a new baby after Christmas sometime, we'll see'. Hard to know what to say isn't it.

My house is a pit too, so much washing, I keep saying I'll start doing it in a min and then I feel sick/tired/can't be bothered, lol.

I don't normally have a sweet tooth but I went past an old fashioned sweet shop early and saw rosy apple sweets in the window. I walked round town thinking about them and then on the way back HAD to go in. I bought a bag of them, some of those foamy mushrooms and some of those red strawberry chewy stick things, I had ripped a bag open and was devouring them before I'd even got my change

ToastnHoney · 01/09/2008 14:51

Lol, Surprise!

Thanks BabyBolat - it's good to know I'm not the only one with disappearing symptoms!

I booked myself a private scan for the same reason - my NHS scan isn't til nearly 14 wks and I just couldn't wait that long. It was easy, I just googled early scans and then rang one up and they gave me an appointment. If you're in London, (sorry can't remember!), the Fetal Medicine Centre was where I went and that seemed really good.

BabyBolat · 01/09/2008 14:56

Surprisenumberthree I did the same with chelsea buns - I saw a little boy with one on Sunday and had to stop myself ripping it from his hand and ran to the nearest supermarket!!

LittleMy, I don't have any kids but it sounds like he has already cottoned on slightly so it might be worth sitting down with him and telling him that you think there might be another baby, but you wont know until you have seen the doctor?

BabyBolat · 01/09/2008 14:56

Thanks ToastnHoney, I might give them a call.

NattyThomasAndEllen · 01/09/2008 14:59

LMD, my son clicked to in the same way. he is only 2 and half.. he asked me if my tummy was poorly bless him!
i told him my tummy is a bit sore and to be gentle with it. seemed to be enough for him, i dont know how old ur DS is, but would that be sufficant explantion?

SNo.3, i have had the oddest cravings too... i have been craving nandoos chicken, in extra hot... i have had it 3 times this week. DH is not impressed 30 quid wasted as far as he is concerned oh well im gonna have some more tomorrow lol

im booking in with my doctor wednesday, because i refuse to go to the local hospital, i am being referred to kings. which is fine by me as they are more specialist in my problem anyway (group b strep)

i am shattered today.. my house is a tip, im too tired to do more than feed and change my children! dear me i do hope tom is out of nappies soon, 3 in nappies... omg that is TOO much washing lol!

conkertree · 01/09/2008 16:00

sounds like everyone is pretty tired today - i can join you with that symptom if not quite yet with the ms - although waves of nausea are coming on slowly.

my parents are coming down on sunday so think we will tell them as they will be very suspicious if i dont have a glass of wine (and want to tell them too).

I have not had as many sweet cravings this time as with ds (although obviously still early days and it may change) - all i wanted then was jelly beans and other pick n mix sweets, but this time, its savoury stuff that I fancy. Even didnt fancy ice cream last night and I never dont fancy ice cream.

parents coming and all this talk of tidying reminds me of what I have to do tomorrow. Might take ds swimming too for a break in the middle.

lou031205 · 01/09/2008 16:12

HI all,

Sorry to only dip in occasionally - life a bit busy. Feel sick as a dog.

Scan 10th September.

Carmeli - I have 2 DDs 2.8 and 12months!

Kalikaroo · 01/09/2008 16:21

Hi everyone. Sorry I've not been on for a while - been feeling awful and had scary bleeding, but everything is fine!! Had my first midwife appointment today and she gave me a quick scan to check bubba was ok after bleeding and it's fine - saw he heartbeat and everything! Apparently I'm a bit less pregnant than previously though - only 9 weeks rather than 10. Have updated due-date.

Here's the list from the previous thread - is it the most recent one?

Hope this one is right.

Totally agree with all the house cleaning problems! Mine is a tip and I just can't get motivated. I am napping everyday in DD's nap time (lovely!) so all jobs have gone out the window. I'm just going to have to keep doing this until the sickness stops I think. (STOP SICKNESS, STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Going to text DH now and ask him for some red lace. I swear, this thread gives me cravings!

hopeful1 · 01/09/2008 16:30

I am addicted to McDonalds but trying to restrain myself. Have also munched through a bag of dolly mixtures this afternoon..ooops!!

BabyBolat · 01/09/2008 16:32

I ate a family size pack of cadburys buttons yesterday and two chelsea buns!! hmmmm!!!

ScrumptiousBumptious · 01/09/2008 16:32

Right - I've read the thread a bit more now. Kalikaroo - glad everythings okay after bleed. Must have been pretty scary. I woke with such bad cramps at 4.30am that I was scared to go to the toilet in case anything was happening. It all seems okay toda though, and feeling as sick as ever. Think it was down to some dodgy BBQ!

suprisenumber3: I'm having horrid miscarriage dreams too, haveing never even had one before. Had one so real the other day about discover it was happening at my parents house, and was petrified all through my last visit there in case it was a premonition!

Was out walking today with DD and DH and opened my first conker of the year to find 'twins' in there. Hmmmmmm!!! DH thinks it's a sign!

suprisenumber3 - I think you said the right thing to DS.

Off to raid the kitchen for something my stomach can tolerate. So far today I have had some cheerios! OOps. Poor malnourished baby!

ScrumptiousBumptious · 01/09/2008 16:33

Dollymixtures. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Yuuuuuuum.

ScrumptiousBumptious · 01/09/2008 16:35

Oops - you were on it twice Kalikaroo.

Now there's no one on the 1st April! I bet that'll change!

oops - sorry about the old list - didn't realise.

The bleeding gave me the fright of my life and it went on for ages (over a week). I've also been feeling less symptoms last week too. I'd 100% convinced myself that I wasn't pg any more and so when I actually saw the bean on the screen I just cried and cried!! MW must have thought I was nuts. My DH was just patting my leg and was speechless - he'd been convinced everything was going to be ok!

ScrumptiousBumptious · 01/09/2008 16:43

Last pregnancy I had convinced myself I wasn't pregnant anymore as my sickness and symptoms stopped at week 11 (scan week 12), so I know the feeling ofactually seeing everything is okay, and seeing a heartbeat. It's so hard to believe there's something in there too until you see it. I'm so pleased everything went well for you though. Bleeding is worrying. Has it stopped now. Last time I had browny old blood for about a week. This time nothing. It's so weird when I thought things would happen just the same, so I am almost worried now because it's NPT happened! Madness!

I want my scan (said is stroppy, childish tantrum stylee!)
