Hello

I have just found out that I am pregnant and calculate that the baby is due on 1 May. It's a bit early for me to be getting excited but I can't help it!

Is anyone else due in May?

Hi girls
Wasn't on the list so added myself.
Have had a hectic day shopping and playing with DP and DD but am so tired. Had forgotten this "could sleep on a washing line" feeling lol

llaregrub sorry missed your note before about change management - gosh small world hey, maybe we should have a chat!? (Well before we get too big and shattered to care at least!!)

Off to make hot chocolate - am really off food at moment but am with you guys in the thirsty gang big styleeee.

llareggub · 31/08/2008 21:36

Detsy, you can mail me if you like on llareggubmn at gmail dot com...

charlie1000 · 31/08/2008 21:37

Really sorry detsy, my mistake

detsy · 31/08/2008 21:54

No probs Charlie - you've got a big task on there and one which will get bigger and bigger as the days go by. Good luck I'd be hopeless at tracking everyone!!!

llare I'll mail you now and we can talk boring old CM stuff, lol! Serioulsy tho we may have some good swapsies - will mail now

Got my hot choc and saw DP making a chicken sarnie so having a bit of that as well!

WobblyPig · 31/08/2008 22:19

Wobblypig apparently due 10/5/09 but was 18 days overdue last time, so could be anytime.

detsy · 31/08/2008 22:38

Wobby - 18 days over gosh did you refuse induction then? I was 13 days and induced, don't want to go there again tho! I've worked own date out from the books so I too could be anytime around then

llareggub · 31/08/2008 22:42

I was 3 weeks early with DS so I'm pretty sure I will again, at least, I hope I will. I knew from day 1 with DS that he'd be early and had to plead with the midwife to let me go to antenatal classes in October rather than the November she wanted me to do.

DS came in October, just as well I won that battle!

I had a c-section last time, and am hoping for a VBAC this time.

WobblyPig · 31/08/2008 22:45

No was induced but it didn't work so after 4 days of on and off pain they did a CS.

inni · 01/09/2008 08:18

Welcome the new comers of the weekend, it's starting to get hard getting track of everyone, eh?
As I said i had been having some brown discharges on and off in the last week and last night as I wiped came out redish, so I freaked out and started to cry (too emotional). It happened when I was preg with DD and everything turned out fine. So I decided to go today to my GYN. She check me and did a vaginal ultrasound. She found the sack in the properly place although I'm today just 5w pg so it's quite small. She thinks everything looks ok. She gave some tablets to stop the discharges (I had them with DD too and they did work) and gave me some hormones to make the embryo stronger. So I'm really happy I went by. I'll have another app next Monday and she will check me again to see heartbeat through the vaginal scan and if something is not right will send me to blood test. I hope with this tablets everything will be fine.

justgotbfp · 01/09/2008 09:12

Hi all, can't get a gp appointment until Thurs 11, will be 7 weeks by then. Question, I am overdue a smear as I haven't had a day away from my ds in order to do it. Was going to go this month as I found a late clinic but now not sure if it would be dangerous or not.

missEdith · 01/09/2008 09:21

good morning all

inni are you out of the UK? glad to hear things seem more settled

jgbfp - I don't know about smear during pregnancy but you are supposed to do one just after the baby

ouch on late deliveries dd arrived one day after edd and not a day too soon

I fell like I want to go back to normal life but I am finding it hard, have not exercised since 2 days prior to BFP and as for BD well am a bit worried although I know it is ok

hope everyone is well today

missEdith · 01/09/2008 09:22

btw this due date is dh's 40th birthday guess no party for him

Jaamy · 01/09/2008 10:35

Good Monday morning to you all! After lovely long sleep on Sat night had a rubbish night last night. Loads of things going through my head.

I'm expecting to go over EDD too. Was 13 days over with DD1 and 16 days over with DD2. Had water broken with DD2 and really wouldn't want to have that done again. Not nice experience. So really I don't expect #3 to arrive before mid May.

Not feeling so thirsty but popping to the loo an awful lot.

How long is everyone waiting to book MW appts? Our GP won't see you and just says to go straight to the MW. Is 6 weeks to early, do you think?

Jennster · 01/09/2008 10:47

Jaamy, I'm not going to let on to my surgery that I'm pregnant until I'm back from holiday in 4 weeks. Suspect I will be 8 weeks by then so will be nearer 10 when I get my first mw appointment. My Doctor doesn't see pregnancies either.

Momino · 01/09/2008 12:41

hi all, can't belieeeeve how much this thread has grown in the past couple of days - congratulations to all you i haven't met!

i still don't feel preg. my boobs haven't changed at all nor are sore like last time. i don't feel ill yet (tho grateful for that!). not feeling overly tired (though I look it).

The only sympton is that I just feel bloated at the end of the day. but it might be that I'm eating loadsa junk: crisps and coleslaw, dime bars with vanilla ice cream, cheese sandwiches.... well, at least I have the cravings that mean I'm pregnant, hehe.

Hope you're all well today.

mamakim · 01/09/2008 12:59

Hi everyone, i've just got a bfp. My periods are really irregular and i've not had one in 7 weeks so not sure exactly when i'm due. We have a 13 month old ds too. I'm kind of in shock actually because we thought it'd take ages as my periods are so messed up. Congratulations everyone. P.s no symptoms yet. Just a bit of an upset tummy.

BrightSideOfLife · 01/09/2008 13:41

aaaarggghhhh I just got to the end of typing a long post and my internet crashed, so I lost it all!

Here I go again:

This thread moves so fast it is making me dizzy or is that the morning sickness

Welcome & congrats Mamakim and wobbly - how exciting!

justgotBFP I sometimes post on a US board and they talk about smears in early pregnancy - it seems fairly normal. I am not convinced, I can't quite imagine how it is OK?

missedith I also wonder about the BD question!! (Actually - I should clarify, my DH wonders. At the moment I am perfectly happy to go to bed early and sleep )

inni It is great that the Gyn saw something on your scan - fingers crossed that the bean has grown & developed by your next scan. What tablets are you on?

I do not seem to have that thirst that alot of you are talking about, but still seem to need the bathroom every 5 minutes. The nausea still comes and goes though. Bluuurrgghhh

inni · 01/09/2008 13:58

Hey girls
I'm feeling really tired and sleepy. I've been going to bed around 9 pm three days in a row and guess I will too to tonight.
BSOL, I'm living in Czech Republic so I don't think you could find the tablets over there. To stop the bleeding-sppoting is named ASCORUTIN (it has acid ascorbic, or something like that I don't know how translate the name of the component) and the hormones are Duphaston (this contains Dydrogesteron).
How is possible the need to go to the loo so early. It's driving me crazy cos I know how it'll be in a few months. I keep waking up per night.
My two other pregnancies end at 8w+3d so I'm really hoping this time around will be the same or less.

Momino · 01/09/2008 14:29

Inni sounds like you're in good hands! get as much sleep as you can.

i've got to stop eating this junk (said after the 2nd hobnob). i've got a family wedding in 3 weeks and the dress must fit without anyone noticing any bulge (at least my boobs won't give it away!).
also, i DON'T feel like drinking water like most of you.

In fact my half-caffeine filter coffee is tasting very nice. Aren't I supposed to go off coffee in pregnancy? shouldn't I be skipping coffee? should I always feel this guilty ? I still don't believe I'm really pregnant.
