Hello

I have just found out that I am pregnant and calculate that the baby is due on 1 May. It's a bit early for me to be getting excited but I can't help it!

Is anyone else due in May?

No bekkaboo I'm not weeing much more than normal. But then I didn't in either of my other pg's - it's just not a symptom for me - everybody is different. Don't worry, just be thankful x

frazzledoldbag34 · 17/09/2008 22:06

Thanks pula- I'm either about 5 wks or 8 wks (according to my GP but I think she is wrong). So I really hope I don't need an internal one, but suspect I might. Better go and sort out my bikini line and shave my legs again just in case. Maybe paint my toenails..........

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 17/09/2008 22:17

Bekkaboo - I'm not weeing any more than usual. I've lost my 'what to expect' book so am winging it this time. I don't think your wee situation is something to worry about
LLareggub - I also got the free pg test from mumsnet and got 1-2 weeks pg sign!
Everyone - I am also feeling the cold. Hotwater bottles are the way forward.

I am feeling in denial today. Not feeling pg. I know I am but I'm not telling anyone (except you lot, oh and DH) and I have been wandering round work thinking I won't be here in May but I can't say anything...will my career be trashed for the second time....?

Went to see Osteopath today and she asked me when I was having another kid. I just laughed...ha ha.. no I wouldn't be that stupid...ha! (oh dear).

Jennster · 17/09/2008 22:22

Ah but halfmum your osteopath probably already knows! I love halfmanhalfbiscuit too. Not as much as dh though.

SpangleMaker · 17/09/2008 22:33

Hi bekkaboo not much more in the day, but am waking up in the night more than usual. I don't think it's anything to worry about, just enjoy the lack of inconvenience!

Jaamy hope you feel better soon

SpangleMaker · 17/09/2008 22:36

frazzled sorry, I meant to say good luck with your scan tomorrow, let us know how you get on.

Moonlit · 18/09/2008 07:55

Hi Ladies can I join please?

I found out yesterday I am pregnant and due on the the 24th of May. I still can't believe it. We have been TTC DC2 since our DD was 8 months. I have PCOS and had put on a lot of weight. My GP put me on Metformin in October last year, which helped a little bit. But in July 08, I decided to do something about my weight and lost 1.5 stone. Then at our first attempt after my weight loss I am pregnant!!!!! My NHS appointment with the fertility specialist was on Monday next week. Which I am going to happily cancel now. I have been waiting for two years for this little bean and now I need wait no longer.

Moonlit due 24th of May 2009. DD 2.6

SesHasapinkline · 18/09/2008 08:01

Hello Moonlit!
Congratulations I'm glad your wait is now over and you have your little bean.

Frazzled - hope all goes well with your scan today.

Hope everyone else is ok this morning. Sticky thoughts all round for everyone

justgotbfp · 18/09/2008 08:32

Hello all, welcome to everyone new and my thoughts and heart go out to those we have lost.
I had a really long day at the hospital yesterday as they did a big team assessment to see what they can do to control the vomitting. I have lost 4 kg in 2 weeks and could not keep anything but ice down. I was rehydrated as usual (have been going in daily for this and monitoring), my poor veins are having a melt down!! They finally decided to try a different anti nausea and oh my what a difference. I can stand without vomiting, I managed small amounts of actual food today, I didn't have to go into the hospital unless I felt I needed it. I still feel constantly nauseous but it is manageable and I am not vomitting every time I stand up or try to swallow something which is just heaven as far as I am concerned. They did convince me to have an early scan and although I was terrified all was great measuring at 8weeks a good size sack and heart beat there and normal. I could have kissed the sonographer (is that their title?) I am not weeing more than normal and my breasts are not quite as tender as they were and hopefully the ms is under control. I am continuing to be monitored by the Acute Gynae Team so am in good hands....sorry for such a long post.

SesHasapinkline · 18/09/2008 08:33

justgotbfp - no apologies for your post needed. I am so pleased for you - MS under control and a fantastic scan!!!
Congratulations

nauseous · 18/09/2008 09:15

justgotbfp - so glad you're feeling a bit better, you must feel like you've got your life back a bit. Good scan result too!!

Congrats Moonlit!

Jaamy · 18/09/2008 11:20

JGBFP - so glad to hear things are picking up. Was getting a bit worried about your lack of posting. And you got to see your little bean too

Hello Moonlit and welcome! Delighted for you!

frazzled - hope the scan goes well. LOL at the secret pot noodle eater! Is Noodle a good name for a DC?

Woke this morning with the same headache I went to bed with last night. Apparently hormone headaches can last up to 20 weeks not sure I can put up with this for another 12 weeks.

slightlycrumpled · 18/09/2008 11:31

Hi, can I join you all please.

Had a BFP on Monday and just letting it sink in! This will be number 3 for me as I have two boys already, aged nearly 8 and nearly 5.

I feel okay although my boobs are sore and I'm really tired. Does anyone else keep getting stomach cramps, like a faint AF pain. It's very odd.

Been to the G.P and he works EDD as 21st May!

inni · 18/09/2008 12:16

First of all really happy to hear you are much more better Justgot and the little one is in perfect shape. Congrats on your bfp and welcome to moonlit and slightly.
Feeling ok today, not very sick and not other symptom except for tiredness but I guess this comes too from my two DCs that give me lots of work. Not spotting for many days so I guess I'm done with it. Happy to see nothing when I go to the loo (sorry tmi). Still my belly is huge, tho in my two previous pgs was big from day zero too now it's a lot more. No muscle in my stomach anymore. Hope everyone is feeling great.

justgotbfp I'm really pleased you're feeling a bit better and got to see your little bean

Moonlit big congratulations, you must be over the moon! Congrats to slightlycrumpled too

Jaamy hope you are ok and not too stressed out. Had a bit more spotting myself today. Even though it's been coming and going for a while now it's still very worrying.

slightlycrumpled · 18/09/2008 14:09

I had forgotten how stressfull this early pregnancy business is! I do hope you are okay jammy and spangles.

It has been five years since I have been pregnant and I have forgotten about what you are and are not allowed to eat. Can anyone fill me in please. As far as I can remember the not allowed's are runny eggs, soft cheese and...... I can't remember the rest.

mammajamma · 18/09/2008 14:34

hi ladies
can i join please? I am expecting my 3rd DC on 13th May.
I have two DS's aged 22 mths and 4 so very excited and terrified at the same time as i will have 3 under 5!!!

Feeling fine so far, just sore boobs, no sickness yet although i didn't get anything with my boys so fingers crossed i escape it this time.

I'm looking forward to enjoying the journey with you all over the coming months!!!

agooboo · 18/09/2008 15:51

How long is everybody holding out until they tell people?

slightlycrumpled · 18/09/2008 15:53

I think we will tell after the twelve week mark.

I'm just hoping I can keep my mouth firmly shut untill then. It's not easy though!

bluebell82 · 18/09/2008 16:04

hello ladies- had HCG results and have a scan booked for Tuesday- they are suspicious high- i.e multiple pregnancy high- shocking!
Also I stopped bf my dd (she is 7 months) a couple of months back and my boobs have started producing milk again ...

I have no real symptoms except being starving, knackered, blood taste in my mouth and nausa- well everything then!

Just had to change a pooey nappy and had to have some 'time out' in the garden!!

Febes · 18/09/2008 18:13

Bluebell- Oh my you might end up with 3 or more under 2 -brave girl!!!
My DD is nearly 10 months so hope its not twins for me. One more will be enough!!

agooboo · 18/09/2008 19:12

It's nice keeping it to ourselves for now but it's really hard not to tell people - I feel like I have it written all over me!

llareggub · 18/09/2008 19:41

I've told quite a few people. I cannot keep secrets at all! I've only told close friends and family, including some colleagues at work. I've told them in case I need cover to go and sleep/be sick etc.

SesHasapinkline · 18/09/2008 19:51

I've hardly told anyone yet. Last time round told most people by 6 weeks and then felt labelled as the girl that had the mc for ages.
Have only told DH (of course!) and BF & her DH. 2 other people have guessed and I haven't been able to lie. Not told parents yet...
