Hello

I have just found out that I am pregnant and calculate that the baby is due on 1 May. It's a bit early for me to be getting excited but I can't help it!

Is anyone else due in May?

Ceeceeanne- Did you manage to find the thread with the clearblues, ive had a look but cant seem to find it!! Im the same as you 6 weeks but feel further same symptoms. My son is nearly 10 so ive got a fairly big age gap too,it has it pros though, they can help out especially when a bit older baby sitting ect!! Not sure how mine feels about that thyough!

Febes · 08/09/2008 18:55

Sutton- we just moved here 2 months ago from Colliers Wood. I love it, great high street and library and swimming at westcroft leisure centre. My sil who lives with us works in Red Hill.

GordonTheGopher · 08/09/2008 18:56

Oh and yes I did get a positive on my freebie test!

SesHasapinkline · 08/09/2008 18:56

Yay Febes! You're not v far away at all! My grandparents lived in Sutton. I work down in Brighton though!

ellsbellzie · 08/09/2008 19:07

Ive just been to see my doctor, and as I suspected not much use, though he was very nice he examined me and that was about it. I asked if he could try for a heart beat as id read on here sometimes one can be detected as early as 6 weeks, he was happy to try but only managed to find mine, not very reasuring, though he said it doesnt mean anything at 6 weeks! He appologised for not getting back to me sooner in the day and promised he'd sort me a scan out first thing in the morning, ive got to call at 930am! God its going to be a agonising and long night but hopefully I know one way or another tommorw, fingers crossed!!

GordonTheGopher · 08/09/2008 19:18

Good luck ellsbellzie. Let us know how you get on!

ceeceeanne · 08/09/2008 19:20

Hi ells, yes I found the thread about test. They were looking for 1000 women to try them so they have prob finished the offer but filled in form anyway! Cant believe it tells you when you concieved (at least i think it does)
My daughter is going to be a brilliant help and is already looking after me! Glad you are having same symptoms - I even went to doc insisting i was further on but after he prodded around i suspected it was trapped wind!! what an idiot!
Good luck for scan - why you having one? sorry if im being dumb

ceeceeanne · 08/09/2008 19:23

sorry yes i totally remember!! your message was the whole reason i messaged...oops good luck again!

peacelily · 08/09/2008 19:25

hello, haven't read all of thread but according to my own calculations and 2x +ve tests I should be due 11th may.
Already have dd (2 on Sunday!)
Seeing the Doc tomorrow.

Can I join?

ceeceeanne · 08/09/2008 19:35

By the way ells, not hearing the heartbeat is normal for six weeks. Wouldn't be heard til 12 weeks

ellsbellzie · 08/09/2008 19:35

Jaamy · 08/09/2008 19:51

Gosh, haven't posted since Friday and can't keep up!!!

Welcome to all the new BFPs!

Charlie - sorry about your bad news on Friday. Don't know what to say. I hope you take care of yourself and that I'll spot you on an antenatal thread soon.

sarah - hope hormone levels in blood tests are going in the right direction.

Missedith - hope to see you back here soon. I too have lost all my symptoms but am merrily plodding along hoping MS will appear soon. [fingers crossed emoticon]

inni - fabulous news. Rest lots.

OBNW - 21 years! You must have been a child mother! At least you'll have lots of helping hands. Hope it works out alright with your other half.

FOB - did you get the urine infection checked out? How are you doing now?

BFP - sorry to hear you eded up in hospital. I've been there, not nice leaving a little one at home when pg with another. You must rest lots. It's difficult with a little one but I'm sure DH (and perhaps other family or friends) can help out.

Ellsbellzie - sorry to hear you've had problems getting a scan. Hope all looks good tomorrow. We're very lucky here. Liverpool Women's Hospital has a gynae emergency room where you can call and speak directly with a midwife or just turn up and someone will see you.

Well, I have a date for my 12 week scan!!!! and so this bean better stick else I'll look a bit foolish on the 20th Oct. Saw midwife on Fri. Same MW I had for both DDs and she is great. Been at it 35 years so seen most things. Was trying to recommend a home birth which I am quite keen on but DH won't entertain at all.

How does everyone else feel about home births?

BTW, I'm near Liverpool.

GordonTheGopher · 08/09/2008 19:56

Wow, 12 week scan date booked already! You're organised!

WobblyPig · 08/09/2008 19:58

Wobblypig - lives is Wimbledon and is due 14th May.

GordonTheGopher · 08/09/2008 19:59

Wobbly do you already have a ds or a dd? Then I can edit you properly!
