Hello

I have just found out that I am pregnant and calculate that the baby is due on 1 May. It's a bit early for me to be getting excited but I can't help it!

Is anyone else due in May?

Wow Loulabella - that story has cheered me up no end. I had an ectopic in April (treated with methotrexate so I kept my (possibly dodgy) tube) and an early MC in July. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow hence the scan but have been analysing every twinge. It's great to hear from someone who has been through pretty much the same thing and for whom it seems to be coming good. Thanks for posting.

Loulabella · 04/09/2008 21:39

MrsHappy, all the best for your scan tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you and you too, Charlie. I hope you both get some decent rest tonight and the wait doesn't drag too much.

charlie1000 · 04/09/2008 22:02

Thanks to all and will keep you posted with news after scan. Off to bed now, trying to rest as much as possible.

Good luck mrshappy for tomorrow's scan. Will keep everything crossed for you.

Welcome to all newbies and congratulations.

Bye for now ladies

Hi everyone
Got my BFP yesterday and I think I am due around the 7th May but not completely sure on my dates. Had the nausea for about a week then nearly threw up getting the washing out of the machine a couple of days ago, I had the same aversion to the smell last time I was PG so was pretty sure before I did the test. so I'm adding myself to your list even though I haven't told anyone yet lol
Has anyone else started spreading the good news yet or are you waiting a while ?

Momino · 04/09/2008 22:40

Overtiredmum, I cant believe someone said that to you! what did you say? Silly.

AAL, i'm due around 1may and have almost no symptoms except food cravings - like extended PMT. It only worries me because my last three preg (one a MC) I had dull hair (yes, dull hair), sore boobs and very nauseous. I don't have any of that now. I'm worried nothing's happening in there. But, nothing i can do about it now. can only wait like the rest of ye.

To all having early scans - fingers crossed and big hugs to you. xxx

Momino · 04/09/2008 22:51

hi minimenace, congrats and welcome.
am dying to tell someone but have only told one friend who isn't even a close friend. I haven't seen too many people lately (in hibernation). i don't feel too sacred about keeping it a secret this time (3rd baby) as I feel a bit more relaxed if not very UN pregnant.

i'll wait to tell family though until we see a safe scan.

off to bed, enjoying that I don't have to sleep around a bump (yet). sleep well all.

Jaamy · 04/09/2008 23:21

Night night all - thinking of you charlie.

Hormones are definitely off the scale. Just read an email from MN towers to tell me I've won the baby shower and I burst into tears. . Also got a bit mad at DH on the phone earlier (he is away with work and currently without internet access - how unrefined!) for making me do the shopping...online! How dare he! Lord help him, he's got a good 7.5 months of this and then there'll be the PN hormones to look forward to!

Welcome to minimenace, loulabella and AAL.

Sleep well, all.

Went to Weight Watchers tonight for my last weigh in before I told them I was up the duff. Have gained a pound since two weeks ago, so I guess not too bad. I'm really trying to watch it though because I've read if you are obese (such a lovely word, isn't it?) you should only gain 15-20 pounds and almost none of it should be in the first trimester. I'm not trying to lose anymore, but I know I'll overeat if I allow myself a free reign! Kinda disappointed because they're not allowed to let me use their scale to monitor my weight gain, even though I'm going to keep going to support my partner (I do the cooking so it's good to get ideas from there).

Less than 12 hours till I see the GP and beg for an early ultrasound. . .glad to hear there are others without symptoms, makes me feel a little more hopeful, even though I'm trying hard to stay neutral about it all!

Partner and I finally did 'the deed' tonight for the first time since we conceived--I hope he wasn't too put off that I jumped up to look for bleeding right away!

And yet again, I can't sleep. Where's this exhaustion I've been hearing about?

Cies · 05/09/2008 08:08

Hello all. I haven't read all the thread but I think I have to join you.

I got a BFP this morning (day 40). I just can't quite believe it. I won't believe it until a doctor can confirm it - and the earliest I can get a doctor's appointment is Tuesday afternoon.

I have had some symptoms, though previously I have convinced myself that symptoms exist where they don't really. Can you tell I'm being very cautious about this?

On day 35 I started what I thought was my period, but it was so light I think it must have been implantation bleed. It lasted 4 days, but really light, not enough to show on a panty liner even. Does that sound like an implantation bleed?

My breasts are tender as well.

And I've been feeling tired.

This will be our first child. We've been ttc for 4 months.

inni · 05/09/2008 08:23

morning girls!!
How is everyone feeling today? Since Tuesday I have stop the bleeding although once or twice a day a have a bit of spotting when wipe. I hope this is ok and everything is fine. But I've been thinking if this was meant to be a MC not tablets will stop it, no? I mean maybe it's wrong try to stop the bleeding cos maybe the baby is not healthy or something. I don't know I guess I'm just too worried and can't stop thinking about. And the wait until Monday is driving me nuts.
Good luck this morning to Mrshappy and Charlie, everything will be fine.
Congratulations to Loulabella and minimenace and lots of luck to you too.
I had a Scan at 5w and gyn just saw the sack but it's the only thing they can see at this stage so don't worry those who had it as well.
Hope justgot is feeling a lot better today.
I'm never been so worried with my two other pgs. I guess this is the first time I'm sharing with others the moment and it seems a really scary moment the 12w of fear.

SesHasapinkline · 05/09/2008 08:34

Morning!
Welcome Cies Does sound like an implantation bleed.

I've had my first bout of real tiredness. Got home from work last night and put my PJs straight on. Chilled and watched tv and then couldn't get to sleep until nearly 11pm and then woke up at 4.30am again!!

Have appointment with my GP this morning. Partly because I want to make sure everyone is checking everything is ok as soon as they can and partly because I have an underactive thyroid (last time they trebled my dose!)

WobblyPig · 05/09/2008 10:21

Morning, also v. tired but not sure if I really should be or I'm just milking it. Was at home with toddler yesterday and fell asleep with him for 90 minutes then again whenm DH got home although DS sought me out like a heat-seeking missile so I didn't get away with much.

ALSO NEED TO REMIND MYSELF THAT 'EATING FOR TWO' IS A MYTH!

MrsHappy · 05/09/2008 10:49

Hi

Not good news from the scan, I'm afraid.

My thoughts are with you. Let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do for you.

charlie1000 · 05/09/2008 13:19

So Sorry mrsHappy that your scan didn't give you the good news you were hoping for. I am very saddened to hear you've got this difficult time to deal with.

I too had my scan this morning and things are not looking great either, it wasn't very conclusive really as the sonogropher thought she could see an empty gestational sac but couldn't be sure. She did agree it didn't look too promising, but I had my HCG levels taken which were 672 and will have them taken again on Monday which will tell us for definite what's going on, but I' still bleeding fresh blood so not really expecting any miracles.

Inni I hope all will be well for you in your pregnancy and Monday brings you relief so you can hope to enjoy your bump. Wishing you hugs.

I'll take myself off the list but I wish you all happy, healthy pregnancies and take care of each other x
