hi to dooley and nubie.

dooley - I've got a low lying placenta too, wasn't present at 20wk scan but had bleed and hospital stay at 26wks and low lying was discovered. got scan and consultant next week (32wks) to decide where we go.

had a lovely day today, went to visit colleague with her pfb - 4 weeks old and 11lb, she was beautiful. then had pub lunch with another friend and all without the dds in tow

nursery is now done and clothes in drawers, washed and ironed, even packed baby's clothes for hospital. need to put all the fabrics back on carseat etc tonight - its taken ages to get it dried with all this rain and no tumble drier.

star6 · 14/08/2008 20:30

OH! He said, "thanks for the note" and then reminisced about how we used to write each other little notes around the house when we first started dating 8 years ago...

The clothes were simply placed in a pile NEXT TO his laptop. He said he wasn't sure which ones were clean or dirty and will get to it "later"...
silly me... I thought all clothes that you wear all day long especially once piled up with other smelly dirty clothes would be considered "dirty". gross!
Next time I should try a mean note.
I wrote: Thanks for putting these in the laundry basket!! xx
maybe I went wrong with the sarcasm there...

you poor thing, myjobismum!!! I hope they feel better soon.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/08/2008 20:41

lol star - not quite the reaction we wanted!

Forgot to comment re low lying placenta. I had one at 22 week scan, but has since moved up, as the vast majority do.

myjobismum best get some cream on them > esp if they are internal. i think if left alone they do eventually go but not worth the risk what with impending labour! you dont want to push anything other than a baby out1 gross sorry if TMI

i am measuring 36 inches around my gut!

bethoo · 14/08/2008 21:14

oh and discovered that my 17 month ds actually likes pumpkin seeds!

bethoo · 14/08/2008 21:20

mine hang out! i just mentioned it last time i was preggers and without looking mw said it was most likely piles. this time round i now know what it is1 with the cream you get an attachment to the tube for going internal and you need a mirror!

feeling very sorry for piles sufferers. I hope they heal quickly!! I had to look up "piles" at first. I don't think they use that term in america. That's the last thing that pregnant women need to deal with so close to giving birth. Seems unfair.

star6 · 14/08/2008 21:29

LOL myjobismum!! I sent dh to get disposable underwear and maternity pads the other day and his face was STILL bright red when he walked in the door... That's the consequence for the laundry and dishes

jenwa · 15/08/2008 09:03

star you may be surprised with the post it notes as he may catch on especially if you keep doing it, the other thing is dont do the washing and any clothes on the floor put in a bag in his wardrobe and when he runs out of things he will soon get worried Just tell him, how did you know they were for washing as they were not in the basket!!!!!! Its surprising what they can do when they know hte consequences!!!!

Ouch for the piles!!! Hope you get them sorted. I thought I was uncomfy with my varicose vein in my bits, burger effect I think someone said and oh yes it is! (sorry TMI)!!!

Dooleymum · 15/08/2008 09:06

Hello all!
Cantsleepwontsleep - hiya! Yes it's my first baby, decided against finding out (DH's idea though i was desparate to find out!!!)
Twinklytoes - i have my 32 week scan next week too, fingers crossed for both of us eh? But if we end up with c-sections so be it. As long as the babies are fit and well , though i would choose to go through labour if i had a choice ( i'm sure i will change my mind if i get that opportunity!!! )
havent felt many kicks today, think dooley is getting short on room in there. Every so often i'll feel a short sharp jab!! Convinced this baby is breech too as all the kicks and rumblings are right down in my pelvis and the lower half of my bump!
sorry to all you piles sufferers. my sis had piles with her 3rd pregnancy and she said it aint no joke.
forgot tom measure bump last night, will do tonight, oh lordy i'm huuuuuge!!!! dh now refers to me as buddah

bethoo · 15/08/2008 09:29

some of my kicks are quite painful in that sometimes it feels she is actually trying to kick her way out of my abdominals! and her feet or whatever are virtually visible! really do feel like an extra out of aliens right now!
so bloody tired thsi morning, dont know if it is the mile and half walk to work of the fact i was msning til midnight!
you know the feeling, your eyes are struggling to stay open!

bethoo · 15/08/2008 09:55

had last GTT yesterday, apparantly if i am not diagnosed at 32 weeks then chances are i will not have it!

ronshar · 15/08/2008 10:27

Hello to Dooleymum and nubie. Welcome to the land of piles and infrequent marital relations!.

I measured my bump on wednesday night and cried for a bit then tried to post and my stupid wireless went down, again. Anyway I measure 39/40cm. Not too sure exactly as I was using DH metal tape measure! Not easy.
Bugger I have just done it again and I am no 41cm. How can that be??

bethoo · 15/08/2008 10:40

ronshar do not panic, that is a good sign that baby is growing well remember they now gain a lb a week from now.
sooooooo tired!

ronshar · 15/08/2008 10:48

Tell me about it. DD2 decided she wanted to have bad dreams last night. At 1,2,3,and 4am. What is that all about. She is a very light sleeper so I am dreading the baby waking her up at night. Just what you need a helpful 4 year old at 3am!!!!!!

Are you having trouble getting comfortable Bethoo? I find I can get to sleep but then wake up in all kinds of bother. If it isnt cramp it is back ache or indigestion. Rubbish.

jenwa · 15/08/2008 10:53

Forget to say aswell about the burping thing, I did that when pregnatnt with dd. DH took me away for weekend to ireland and we were walking down the street and I turned to say something to him except I let out this almighty belch and what shocked me more was that a girl had appeared next to me to walk past me so I actually belched right in her face!!!
DH was very shocked and all I could do was laugh and could not stop laughing, poor girl must have not been impressed with me. Think I had those nervous giggles! I was embarassed but it is still funny looking back on it.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 15/08/2008 10:54

I have had success with laundry!!! after telling DH last week that I will just start piling his dirty washing on top of his laptopn and/or playstation til it goes in the laundry basket - this week he has put his boxers, socks and t-shirts in the basket EVERY DAY!! not counting my chickens cos he still managed to empty out the kitchen bin but not put a new bin liner in today, but it's a start!

lol at star's DH!

sorry girls with piles - oh the world of TMI! never thought it could all get so personal...

ronshar · 15/08/2008 11:05

Jenwa. I have just nearly wet myself. My DD2 is always telling me off. Aparently I am ssgustin for doing those sounds all the time. I wasnt aware it was all the time! At least it is from my mouth and not my bum Now that would be bad.

With both my pregnancies I have flooded the bed at night time with leaky boobs from about 27/28 weeks. A brand new matress in first pregnancy, schoolgirl error! So far so good. Nothing even slightly leaky looking. I have prepared myself with bras I can sleep in and loads of breast pads. Oh the glamour of pregnancy.
