Rofl csws!! If I say that to DH he'll believe it! He's always saying stuff like, "get away from the wet paint!! I don't want our baby to have TWO NOSES!"...etc.
No wonder it feels so big now...

star6 · 13/08/2008 22:00

I posted a belly pic finally... took forever to do it. I wanted to get just the belly... so it worked, but now it's sideways. It just keeps growing more and more and more and more ad more..... baby might burst out of my belly button soon

maybe the angle is awkward, I'll take another tonight. I feel enormous.
I don't even know how to measure.
I've been up since 4 there is just no comfortable sleeping position. Perhaps this is nature's way of preparing my body for the baby's arrival when I will never sleep again.

star6 · 14/08/2008 05:23

that sounded really silly. I know HOW to measure of course!! I don't know how to measure the bump!!! If it's top to bottom, side to side..etc.

07mumstheword · 14/08/2008 08:16

Pistachio You've got one in a million in your DH

CSWS You will have a little palace to bring your new baby home to

snowymum I'm nervous about everything too. I'm a real organsier trying to make sure everything is ready, I've got another 9 wks to go but you'd think I was due tomorrow. As for the labour I'm terrified, first baby came in 4 hours so I'm frightened this one will be born on the side of the road because we can't get to hospital in time, I'm worried about who will get here in enough time to take care of DD, how long will I be in hospital this time (6 days last time with a natural birth) and I'm trying not to even think about the pain!

Can I just ask is anyone else experiencing lots of discharge down below? TMI alert I seem to have to wear a sanitary towel and always feel damp.

star6 · 14/08/2008 08:44

Feel the same mumstheword and also have 9 weeks to go. I wear a thin pad for it. Now I'm leaking from my breasts and down below... I wonder where I'll start leaking next??

jenwa · 14/08/2008 10:17

star I never knew you were american, are your family here too? Your job sounds nice though and lovely age children. You were awake early aswell!!

Had some discharge, not too much though but it is commom in pregnancy. It will all get worse after though dripping from nipples and bleeding down below but then we will all be too pre occupied with our babies and families too care or do anything about it!!!!!!

I'm not sure, myjob... hopefully someone more experienced will come along with words of wisdom. It's probably piles.

Jenwa - no my family are not here But it's ok... everyone is so spread out in the US that it's a flight to see anyone between dh and my families anyway. We love our lives here, though.

Dooleymum · 14/08/2008 11:13

Hello everyone, i'm a tad late in joining seen as I'm due 11th Oct !! Myjob, that does sound like piles to me but I'm no expert???
Started antenatal classes last night and i'm going to pack my hospital bag when i get home tonight!!! Everything has been bought for dooley ( bump nickname!!! ) but i need to pull my socks up with the cleaning
Please tell me theres someone else out there who hasnt spring cleaned the house from top to bottom yet??? Snowymum i wish i was like you and organised with the housey stuff.
I too am experiencing lots of ( ahem ) discharge. Get out fo the shower every morning and 1 hour later i feel like i need to get back in????
32 week scan next week to see if placenta has moved as it was low lying at 20 weeks ( fingers crossed )
Anyone else with low lying p???
dooleymum

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 14/08/2008 11:27

welcome doolerymum I have a 21year old borhter currently living in my nursery who won't be moving out til I'm 37 so no worries, you are not alone! my house is a pigsty at the mo, I just can't be arsed to clean or tidy!

myjobismum sorry hon I don't know, but rest assured I'm sure it's piles and not anything sinister...might be worth calling M/W or GP or NHS direct just to put your mind at rest?

I've bene dischargy all the way through...not massive amounts, more damp than anything - was worried my pelvic floor has totally failed me but it smells different! And worse in hot weather so thinking I'm sweating a lot down there

anyone NOT got leaky boobs? is it utterly ridiculous of me to worry that I don't yet?

I have officially bought out all the bundles of clothes on ebay and have nowhere to put them all in a moment of panic last night...eeeeeek!

Dooleymum · 14/08/2008 11:40

Hello GWMH,
My boobs arent leaking either! Never thought I'd see the day when I hoped to get leaky boobs????
what are we like?
glad to hear it aint just me in housey upheavel. On suite is currently jam packed with dooley's stuff, just need husband to decorate nursery - cant wait.
I'm working up until 19th sept and now beginning to wish i'd taken time off a bit earlier than that. Oh well, suppose it will be more time spent with baby when he/she arrives.
What does DS and DD mean? Sorry, I'm new???

rach010 · 14/08/2008 11:53

Welcome Dooleymum DD means Darling Daughter and DS Darling Son. My house is in upheavel too we have been totally renovating it for the last 2 years having the nursery and the lounge decorated at the moment so there is stuff everywhere.

Myjob I had a scare just like your a week or so back i was loosing so much blood when i went to the toilet, i went to see GP who confirmed it was piles, she gave me medication and now its soooo much better. Best to get check out just to be on the safe side.

SmudgeyDoodle · 14/08/2008 12:50

Myjob hope you've managed to talk to GP or MW for reassurance. If you're fairly sure blood and gunk is coming from back passage rather than fanjo then it's almost certainly piles. Like rach says, best get it checked out though and it will soon get better.
I like the post-it idea but know I would then end up picking up all the notes to put in the bin so would really annoy me even more. I'm trying to make a conscious decision just to ask DH in a nice voice if I want him to do something rather than waiting for him to notice and then quietly fuming when he doesn't until I end up stropping at him or doing it myself in that loud bang, crashy way. I'll let you know how it goes... CSWS I hope the building work goes to plan and that the rain doesn't hold things up. We had a whole load of wet soot come down our chimney last night and it went all over DS favourite books. Wet wipes are fab aren't they?

star6 · 14/08/2008 13:11

ohhhh smudgeydoodle.... I've tried that approach quite a bit. Basically it just made him think that it was even more ok to leave his stuff everywhere because I wasn't upset about it anymore.

I did the post it and dump on the laptop this morning... can't wait to get home and see the result!!

KSal · 14/08/2008 13:53

No boob leakage here either GWTMH and Dooleymum and i agree its funny to be wishing for something like that!!

I'm also another one with the house in a mess... our 'nursery' is full of junk from when we moved into the house, just waiting for us to find a home for most of it. My husband is a real hoarder though and can't throw anything away. even to the extent that if his mum is throwing something out of her house he brings it round here because its part of his childhood!!! drives me insane!

oh and myjob... i am measuring 41 inches around the middle at 32 weeks, but i was probably about 30 before i was pregnant. what can i say i'm 5'11"!!

BabyNubie · 14/08/2008 14:13

Hello - another late joiner as I am due 5th October! is lovely to read all your posts and see how everyone is getting on

Can't believe how tiny star's bump is! My dh snuck up and measured mine this week and was a metre around! am only 5' 1" so look like a weeble!

Had 32 week scan with 4D pic just of the head on monday but not very clear as baby's face is basically against the placenta, am sure I am being silly but feel really bad that it's face is so squashed up!!

Is anyone else getting very spontaneously belchy?? i haven't read anything about this and am worrying i am just disgusting!

Dooleymum · 14/08/2008 18:08

Hello Babynubie, I'm a late starter so its nice to have someone else new!!
yes, very belchy now and something else too which aint too nice, if i eat less than 2 hours before bedtime, i wake up with acid indigestion, i can taste bile in my mouth as though i'm going to be sick but never actually am!!!How attractive for DH !!!
Ahhh, i dont think your being silly over your baby's face nestling up to the placenta, but dont feel bad. Your baby obviously just wants to stay a suprise for you!!! We are very protective over our bumps us mums to be, ; i feel guilty every time something makes me jump and i seem to have done it loads lately, makes me worry that dooley will be startled!!!
havent measure my bump, i darent its huuuuuge!

star6 · 14/08/2008 18:09

They say the baby measures "a bit small" but haven't been worried... should I be worried?? DH is only 5'9 and I'm 5'2, so we thought maybe it's measuring small because it doesn't have any hope of being tall? Or could something be wrong with it? I actually feel enormous... haven't looked down and thought "tiny" in about 16 weeks!

bethoo · 14/08/2008 19:15

defo piles myjob if you see mw/gp you can get anusol cream on prescription.
welcome newbies.
star were you mwasuring small at 20 week scan? i measure small on fundal height, if you are small then you will most likely have a small baby, if big then most likely a big baby so nothing to worry about! that pic is cheating if you were lying down!

star6 · 14/08/2008 19:19

lol. I wish I could lay on my back. I was standing and it took ages to just get the bump. I didn't want to get my boobs in it because I was wearing the shirt I was going to wear to bed and there were stains from leaky breasts on it!!
At 21 week scan they said he was "a bit small" but they didn't seem worried.

Welcome Newbies! How exciting all of the babies being born in october! It's also my birthday month (3rd) and wedding anniversary (23rd)

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/08/2008 20:25

Evening all and welcome to dooley and Nubie. Is it first baby for you both, and do either of you know what you're having?

Ouch for piles.

What was dh's reaction to the post it star?

No leaky boobs here. I didn't get them before dd either. Not sure if me still feeding her would make me more or less likely to leak at the moment, but I can't see it happening.
Did buy some breast pads today though, as I felt like I was the only one who had bought nothing and done nothing in anticipation of ds arriving, and since he'll be one of the first I figured I really ought to!
