Annvan I'm having mine in Royal United Hospital in Bath although we have a midwife led unit closer, it would mean I might have to have dragon midwife at my birth, then I would have cross my legs until she went home! Also I want the chicken option (as the midwife called it!)of an epidural.

cyteen i'm on something called fersamal. it;s an ironsyrup, tastes rank but no sode effects. the reason your doctor wouldn't prescribe Spatone is that he can't, it;'s not on the medical registry for prescriptions but you can buy it yourself in Boots...(my mw suggested it but i got the fersamal instead)

ts it's on my due date. the 08.08.08 at 8am!! however i thni kshe may be born this weekend. after last nights activity and today's it's pretty similar to ds2 who was then born on the sunday morning so fingers crossed and legs open!!

I'm still in the sh*tty corner, both dc went to sleep about an hour apart so i tried, but couldn't get off then ds2 woke...so have still had no sleep since 5am yesterday morning and that was horrible broken sleep. am offically shattered!

Sarah when my mplug came out it was all jelly-like but "stringy" as it all sorta stuck together. The past two days I've had similar stuff just in much smaller amounts. This time it's a little bloody/brownish (it was clear as snot before).

Cyteen {{{hugs}}} feeling a bit like you intermittently these days without my mom. I remember when my waters broke with DD1, I immediately got in the shower to get ready to go to the hospital, and stood their crying harder than I'd ever cried because she was gone but yet still with me.....as it was 1am on my mother's birthday. I'm in the lazy-can't-be-arsed-corner this afternoon. My dad's been round working up a sweat as he's decided to dig up and rebuild our wonky patio next week (yes the week we're having another baby) so I made us lunch and that's it for the day. Would feel guilty having a 64yr old doing manual labour with only a 3yr old to help but you there is no budging a retired engineer whose latest project just happens to be in your garden.
DH phoned to say he has accidentally booked himself out for the night (someone has got him a football ticket, he had got the week wrong.) Am still sex-obsessed and was hoping for a celebratory shag tonight (start of paternity leave then his condensed hours start) so may have to pop out for large amounts of chocolate too.

VG she's hold up in the guest room.

Thanks again for that VG... its definitely still happening and i am continuing to have the low down kind of burning period pains.. that said, been feeling like this for weeks ( like you TS) so i am not holding my breath!!

Not holding mine either! I'm doing a bit of work today, and not remotely considering giving birth.

DS has made a miraculous recovery to the point where he feels just about able to stomach chocolate buttons or a few Percy Pigs. Errm no DS, you can have a brown sandwich and a drink for the moment mother.

Are there any rules on how many syllables the middle name should be:

Although Sophie is one of our back up names -should we save it in case we have another girl ? What about Gretta or Margaret (name of fav aunty)?

Emeline isn't 100% - we may decide against it if she doens't look like it. (Also, any thoughts on spelling? So many variations)...

Preg1 I think I would use Emmeline for the spelling. I like the way Emmeline Sophie scans, but if you think you'll want the name again hang on to it. I love Emmeline Sophie, she sounds like the plucky child heroine of a Victorian novel! The two names are sort of out the same palette. I like Emmeline Lucy for the same reasons, but am always rubbish at picking names for other people. I always like the idea of using family names for middle names, we don't know if ours is a boy or girl, but the middle names either way are family names.

Oh yes, I like Emmeline. I've been staring at so many variations I can't work out which is best. Oh, Lucy has never come up, but I think it works too. Oh, hang about - it sounds a bit weird with my surname
