Anyone else out there? Just got faint, but definitely there, BFP.

Due 1st April, according to those dodgy due date calculators.

I have a feeling its a girl! Oh dear - I think they are harder work than boys LOL

Did the ring test and some of those chinese astrology sex predictors for a giggle and 4/5 said girl

Lulubai - that's so rubbish about your scan date! dont know what to suggest really apart from when you get a date to ring the actually department directly for a cancellation (I'm sure there are loads sadly)

I've made some amendments and added the latest newbies - it's an ever burgeoning list, how many more will join us I wonder??

I think you sometimes DO know what sex your baby is. With my ds, I saw the two lines come up on the hpt, told my dh I was pregnant and then said, 'oh it's a boy as well'. With my dd, I had no strong feelings either way BUT I was really keen for a girl so I think I wanted to hedge my bets, just in case!

I'm starting to feel really bloated around my abdomen and it's quite uncomfortable - anyone else feeling huge already?!

TheBestMum · 27/08/2008 18:33

Help! Have posted a few times (due April 23rd) but can't figure out how I add self to list.....(I don't have to type out all names do I???)
Yes, Stork, am too feeling quite bloated almost immediately after starting to eat - yuk.
Hope everyone doing ok

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 27/08/2008 18:34

hi, not been on in ages, suffering VERY bad MS!!

getting up between 5 & 6am throwing up!!

Stork- as for knowing the sex i knew with my other 2 the day i got my BFP's!! and i'm pretty darn certain this ones another boy, which we will be over the moon with as ideally we'd have another boy!! a girl would be just as nice, but i do think, being 100% honest, we'd prefer a boy!!

I'm in maternity clothes already and i'm only 6.5wks! cant fit in anything else!! and i'm craving any sort of sweets, with fruitellas being the main ones i want!!

TheBestMum · 27/08/2008 18:34

Oh yeah - am 34 & have ds 2.4y

NattyThomasAndEllen · 27/08/2008 20:51

can i have the list edited? looks like ive got 3 kids?
i have DS 28months DD 15 months!
thank you!

how is everyone today? i got a proper line for the first time today instead of faint almost shadow ones had at the weekend! so i know my HCG is increasing which is a good sign, have got nausea too, lucky for me no sickness, just feeling like it!

bethdivine · 27/08/2008 20:52

evening ladies and welcome all the newbies , hope everybody is feeling better than I am!

This constant nausea is just hideous, don't want to eat anything, but having to force food down as feel even worse on empty stomach - like many have said, not really fancying fresh healthystuff, more the plain old stodge - toast, ice-cream, mash (not all at once ) - oh see, I can make a joke through my misery.

I think we should get a scan at 8wks, to keep us going through the nausea, the thought of having to wait another 4 wks seems sooo long! I've had my booking in apt with midwife, but am still waiting for the date for my scan apt, wish it would come through soon, just so I know when it is to look forward to.

hope you all have an undisturbed sleep, - between DS and my bladder I'm sure I'll be up a few times.

Natty, woo hoo at your proper line! my first one was with a boots cheapo and it was so faint I didn't quite believe it, but got a proper no doubt about it line later with FR. The boots one has all but disappeared now, but FR still going strong - I need it to convince myself I definitely am pregnant again and not just suffering from some hideous lurgy!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 27/08/2008 21:23

anyone fancy some German Chocolate Cake? LOL I was really craving one yesterday, so my daughter & I baked a really scrummy one with rich icing (cooked with egg, sugar, coconut, butter, and peacans). It tastes sooooo good, but now I'm wondering if it's making me sick! I vomitted last night after dinner (ate 2 pieces yesterday - one b4 dinner & one after). And then today I was feeling quite good after lunch (of fried eggs, hashbrowns, and wholemeal toast)....and then I ate a huge slice of the cake...and was feeling awful as soon as it was inside me....a couple hours later, it was the cake I vomitted (Sorry TMI!). So I'm soooo disappointed, and scared to eat it again! LOL But it is so yummy. Then again, right now I'm feeling a strong urge to be sick again, and haven't eaten anymore, so maybe it's just awful sickness setting in for real.

I'm about 8.5 weeks now, so suppose the symptoms are getting worse!

mathsmummy27 · 27/08/2008 21:35

bethdivine, I kept both of my BFPs and sneak a look every now and again to reassure myself (ridiculously black still, nothing like my first)
rachel - I actually took my DD out this afternoon on a cake mission. Ended up in Starbucks and boy was it worth it.
I don't even like cake normally but DH is obsessed with it and this one's clearly his! (phew)

JemimaPuddleduck07 · 27/08/2008 22:22

Just had to skim through everyone's messages as all the talk of food was making me feel sick! Cooked a stir fry for dinner but it ended up in the bin. Instead I had a bowl of cheerios and 3 packets of crisps. Oh dear, now I remember why I put so much weight on in pregnancy!

Conkertree - we do have a lot in common. Our house has been on the market for ages too and we had just decided to take it off but now it looks like someone might be interested as they are coming back for a 3rd viewing, so fingers crossed! How long have you been trying to sell yours? My business is making balms for children to help them sleep, calm down, first aid etc. I work with a lot of essential oils which as of tonight are making me feel incredibly nauseous!

Mathsmummy - I've kept my BFP's too just to remind myself it's actually real!

hopeful1 · 28/08/2008 09:05

Thanks lulubai - now I know what a bfp is...i have kept mine too!!

I am 8 weeks tomorrow and feel sooooooooooooo tired I can hardly make it throught the day and my work trousers are so tight I have to keep them un buttoned, think I might have to go shopping on saturday!!

I cant believe how much you are all suffering from ms. I feel sick after dinne in evening but gnerally okay during the day, fingers crossed it doens't get any worse!!

conkertree · 28/08/2008 09:29

that sounds like a lovely business to be in Jemima - do you have to avoid certain oils while you are pregnant, or are they not ones you'd work with anyway?

House has been on the market since May so not too long, but usually things in our village sell in a couple of weeks and currently there are 5 on the market and none are moving so I just dont see an end in sight just now. Our neighbour wants to buy ours, but cant sell their own.

I kept my bfps too, but am tempted to take another this weekend unless I get some symptoms. I am really tired I suppose but thats it.

rachel - the cake does sound lovely. maybe it was all the sweetness though making you feel sick? I always like the idea of chocloate cake, but enjoy making it and looking at it more than eating it. Chocolate bars however are a different stroy.

LuLuBai · 28/08/2008 10:08

oooh - having read your posts I want cake now.

Got to go into town later, if I walk in rather than bus or drive perhaps it will make me feel less bad about all the sweet stuff i keep wanting (have also been thinking a lot about salt & vinegar hoola hoops although I haven't had any)

I woke up in a state of panic this morning. Didn't feel ill in the slightest! Aaaargh. But after a hectic hour or so (had to take cat to the vet -and he was rather grumpy about it) the MS kicked in with a force. Now wish it would go away again.

LuLuBai · 28/08/2008 10:11

Oh and sympathies to those of you trying to sell your houses. Such hard work. We sold our old flat when DD was 4 months old. The first few months of her life I was utterly frazzled with the efforts of trying to live in a show home while looking after a new baby. I used to try and take her out to the park or a cafe all day as the more time we spent at home the more mess we seemed to make.

BabyBolat · 28/08/2008 10:54

Morning all -

I don't envy any of you with the house selling - we were thinking about selling ours later in the year but with the baby on the way now, think we are going to stick it out for another year or so, wait for the market to pick up and try again then.

As for the clothes issue, mine are definitely getting to small, I am only 10 weeks - is that too soon to be out of normal clothes? I'm thinking of just getting a couple of pairs of trousers a size bigger to last me the next month or so - sure i can get some fairly cheap ones from H&M or something!

My mum keeps telling me how she was in her clothes until she was 7 months pregnant (She was a waif-like hippy in the 70's I might add!) which isn't helping at all!!

bethdivine - I agree you should definitely get an early scan - at least that would give us something positive to focus on while we live in the bathroom!

LuLuBai · 28/08/2008 11:16

BabyBolat is your mother also my mother?

Last time I expanded very quickly and my mother kept on and on about how she was in her jeans for months and months (didn't even know she was pg for first 4 months - dozy hippy!)

But I'm sure with me it's not all fat. I put my biggest bra on yesterday (32E) and my boobs were bulging out of it.

I think I'm going to get a couple of smock tops to tide me over until I get properly big. H&M is a great source of cheap imbetween clothes.

FRAGGLE06 · 28/08/2008 11:24

My mother didn't make any such pregnancy claims but she did apparently put her size 8 jeans back on immediatly after giving birth to each of us.
Miraculous really since all I wanted to wear was a duvet for the first month.

LuLuBai · 28/08/2008 11:27

Struth -I looked 6 months pregnant for at least a month after giving birth (in fact I was asked when the next was due while I was holding my newborn DD!) and took me a year to really feel comfortable in my clothes

OddEyes · 28/08/2008 11:44

I have already invested in some maternity trousers, tried the next size up in normal clothes but they just looked really ill fitting and huge.

Ha ha - possibly LuLuBai! She's great but if she tells me one more time how tiny her little football bump was and how all she could eat was salad for the whole 9 months I may have to scream!

Wow so many new people and so much news to catch up on! Have just spent a lovely hour getting to 'know' everyone.

2 weeks ago we had an early scan (I posted it on here but seems eons ago) and doc thought it might be twins. Well we went back last night and IT IS! Two little baked beans both with heartbeats winking back at us. Doc even said it had been triplets at one point but the 3rd had obviously not taken - I feel bad for thinking I've had a bit of a lucky escape! Am so excited about these 2, we've waited 2 years for a baby so to get 2 feels like all our Christmases at once.

Told my parents, they are amazing and have said they'll move from Cheshire to London to help with the first year. Don't really know how I'll ever thank them, am welling up again already - crazy hormones! And best of all she told me to not plan on getting out of my tracksuit for a year afterwards, so no 'helpful' comments about jeans from my Mum who was in her bikini a month later looking fabulous but knows to keep it shtum

Crazy dreams too so glad to hear not just me. Last night dreamt I had 2 boys and no buggy so I had to carry them into central London and I forgot one of them somewhere! Am riddled with maternal guilt and they're not even born yet

Sickly souls - I'm with you! Am averaging 2 packs of Opal fruits a day despite never having had a sweet tooth before. So much for my pre-preggers dreams of all Organic goodness etc. Ah well. Lunch is going to be an iced bun!

Anyway ladies, lengthy post but it's been a while and as you can probably tell, I'm rather overwhelmed and so so excited.

Hope you're all getting through the day OK
